Express His Love...

Rhapsody of Realities
Tuesday, March 18th Express His Love Pastor Anita Oyakhilome For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). If you’re born again, then the love of Christ is in your heart by the Holy Spirit. Since God has put His love in your heart, He now expects you to share that love with those around you. He wants the world to see and appreciate the matchless beauty of His love through you. Therefore, you should take every opportunity in your daily encounter with people to express God’s love to them. Love for people is what really counts with God. God is love, and we’re to love like Him: “Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour” (Ephesians 5:1-2). Hatred for anyone, irrespective of what they may have done against you is unacceptable to God. Jesus showed us the excellent example by loving everyone He met. He loved even His accusers; those who put Him on the cross. We ought to emulate the Master by loving everyone, no matter the circumstances. Love is self-giving; it makes you think of others and accept them just as they are. Love is unselfish and doesn’t seek its own; it breaks the barriers of race, ethnicity, and social status. Take some time to express the love of Christ to someone today. Prayer Dear Father, I thank you for your love that fills my life to overflowing, having been shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Spirit. That love radiates through me today, and I manifest it to everyone in my world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. F U R T H E R S T U D Y: Romans 13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. ; Galatians 5:19-21 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. ; Ephesians 5:1-2 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; 2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. Knowledge With Awareness!

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES
MONDAY, MARCH 17TH PASTOR CHRIS KNOWLEDGE WITH AWARENESS! Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak… (1 Corinthians 2:12-13). The word translated “know” above is the Greek “aido,” and it means to become aware, or to have knowledge with awareness. We have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit, which is of God, that we might become aware of the things that are freely given to us of God. The thirteenth verse says, “Which things also we speak….” This means there's a spiritual vocabulary granted us by the Holy Spirit with which to communicate what we have received as absolute knowledge. For example, Romans 8:28 says, “...We know that all things work together for good to them that love God....” The word “know” here, again, is the Greek “aido.” The Apostle Paul is saying, we are aware, that no matter what happens in life, there's no need to fret or be apprehensive; you don't need to cry. There’s an awareness in our spirits that all things are working together for our good. You need to come to that awareness in your life. You need to have that assurance and rest in your spirit that you can never be defeated. It makes no difference what happens, refuse to be moved. Just know that whatever it is, it can only work out for your good. As a result, laugh your way victoriously through life. No wonder Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep (garrison) your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” The Greek word translated “peace” above is akin to the Hebrew word “shalom,” which refers to peace with prosperity. In other words, the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your heart and mind when you have “aido” knowledge. Those around you won't understand why you can be so at peace, and full of rest in spite of oppositions, challenges and contrary winds that may come your way. The reason is that you have become aware that nothing in this life is set against you; it has become part of the scope of your knowing that you can never be disadvantaged. Halleluiah. P R A Y E R Dear Father, thank you for granting me the spirit of wisdom and revelation to know you, and become aware of all that you've done for me, and made available to me in Christ Jesus. Thank you for helping me walk in my inheritance and experience your glory in my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. F U R T H E R S T U D Y 1 John 5:13(Amp) I write this to you who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) the name of the Son of God [in the peculiar services and blessings conferred by Him on men], so that you may know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that you [already] have life, yes, eternal life. (KJV) 13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. 1 John 3:14(Amp) We know that we have passed over out of death into Life by the fact that we love the brethren (our fellow Christians). He who does not love abides (remains, is held and kept continually) in [spiritual] death. KJV We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. DAILY SCRIPTURE READING 1 Year Bible Reading Plan Luke 1:57-80 Deuteronomy 8-10 2 Year Bible Reading Plan Acts 28:11-20 Psalm 81-82 |

Sunday special...breakfast...for every child of God. Enjoy!
RHAPSODY OF REALITES RESPOND FROM YOUR SPIRIT. *PASTOR CHRIS* SUNDAY,MARCH 16TH,2014. We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak (2 Corinthians 4:13). Romans 10:8 tells us that the word of salvation is near you, even in your mouth, and in your heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach. Verses 9-10, also place much emphasis on the heart, that is, the human spirit, because you believe with your spirit. Your spirit makes contact with God. That’s the reason believing is very important. Faith is not a response of the brain or of the mind; it’s the response of the human spirit to the Word of God. Recall the encounter between the Lord Jesus and the man with the withered arm; Jesus called him forth while He was teaching in the synagogue and said, “… Stretch forth thy hand…”. (Matthew 12:13). How could he have done it when he had a withered arm? Read the concluding part of the verse: “…And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other.” How did that happen? That was faith. What is faith? Faith is the response of the human spirit to the Word of God. The man heard Jesus in his spirit and acted upon His infallible Word, from within! Understand that if he had acted from his mind, he would have said, “Well, you know my hand is withered. I can’t do that.” But his spirit took a hold of the instruction and responded accordingly. We find a similar example in Mark 2:11. Here, Jesus said to a man who was lame, “…Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.” The man acted on the Word and got a miracle. There’s no way he could have gotten up if he didn’t respond from his spirit. Understand this: the man’s spirit wasn’t crippled; it was his body that was afflicted with palsy. Thank God He didn’t argue, but acted from his spirit on the Master’s instruction. Mark 2:12 tells us that while the people watched, the man got up, picked up his mat, and hurried away. They were all completely amazed and praised God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this!" I’ve seen people struggle with faith, trying to help somebody stand, stretch forth his hand, or to open his eyes when he couldn’t open them. What they didn’t realize was that they were working from the outside; that doesn’t work. The response from your spirit, not your mind, or physical body, is what produces result. Once you can believe the Word with your heart and voice it out with your mouth, it’ll produce result. That’s what Jesus said in Mark 11:23. CONFESSION: I look away from all distracting influences and act on God’s eternal and infallible Word. Irrespective of what I see, hear or feel, I’m convinced that I’m a victor and a success in Christ Jesus! I’m what God says I am; I have what He says I have, and I can do what He says I can do. Halleluiah. FURTHER STUDY: Mark 11:22-23(CEV) Jesus told his disciples: Have faith in God! 23 If you have faith in God and don't doubt, you can tell this mountain to get up and jump into the sea, and it will. He's Your Father For Real

He's Your Father For Real - Saturday
March 15th, 2014 - Pastor Anita Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things (Matthew 6:31-32). How comforting, and what a blessing to know that the Almighty God is truly your heavenly Father. This should give you extraordinary confidence and boldness to win every day in life. Think about it: you're the child of the Monarch of the universe! Now that you're born again, you've been baptized into Christ, and awakened to the fatherhood of God. In John 15:15 the Lord Jesus, prior to His crucifixion, said to His disciples, "Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you." This signified the kind of relationship He had with them at the time; it was one of friendship. However, after He was raised from the dead, He said to Mary, "....but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God" (John 20:17). He called them brethren; meaning they have become His brothers, having the same Father. A new relationship had been born by virtue of His death and resurrection; you now belong in God's family! You're now a joint-heir with Christ. Hallelujah. Observe again the inspiring teaching of the Lord Jesus in our opening scripture. He's saying, "Relax, be at peace, and be full of joy! Refuse to fret over what you'll eat or drink, what to wear, or where to stay! I know everything you need, and I've already made provision for you." 2 Peter 1:3 lets us know that our heavenly Father has already given us everything we need for life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that has called us to glory and virtue. Refuse to accept poverty, sickness or anything negative in your life. Nothing is too good for you; you're blessed beyond measure. Be bold to lay hold of your prosperity, health, success, and victory, for they are legitimately yours in Christ. Constantly meditate on the Word, and it'll produce in you the right mindset, to function as the true royalty that you are. PRAYER: Dear Father, I thank you for giving me such an extraordinary life of victory, success, and excellence. I'm prospering and living in the manifestation of your infinite blessings because I'm the King's kid. I'm a joint-heir with Christ, therefore I walk in the dominion and liberty of the Spirit, enjoying the blessedness of my heavenly Father, in Jesus' Name. Amen. Jesus Is Never Shocked

AN AWESOME PIECE I JUST FOUND ON THE NET....ENJOY!
“Let’s just go for fun! We’ll see how much we can push their buttons,” Amy teased her girlfriend, who didn’t like the idea of hanging around a bunch of Christians. “Come on,” Amy insisted. “I hear their motto is ‘Come as you are.’ I just want to prove that they’re ‘come as you are ... unless you’re gay.'” Amy had been in a nine-year lesbian relationship that had broken up, leaving her wondering why her deepest longings could never be satisfied. She and Rachel had just started hanging out when they decided to attend one Sunday morning. “I came on a mission to shock people,” Amy admits. “Rachel and I would hold hands in front of people, but instead of the disgusted looks of contempt we expected, people met eyes with us and treated us like real people. So we started coming to church weekly. We kept moving closer to the front each week, trying to get a reaction so that we’d be rejected sooner rather than later. When we couldn’t shock people, we stopped trying and started learning." “Not long after that, Rachel and I stopped seeing each other, but I kept coming to church because I was searching for something,” Amy admits. “I definitely wasn’t looking to change. It wasn’t my lesbian lifestyle that I was bringing to God, but I wondered if God had answers to my deeper longings. Problem was, I didn’t trust God at all! “The more I listened and learned about the teachings of Jesus, the more I started to actually believe that God really did love me. I heard more and more about being His masterpiece, and in time, I actually started to believe it. The more I believed God actually could see something of value in me, the more I trusted Him.” Over time, Amy slowly opened her heart and struggles to Christ. “It took several years, but as I moved closer and closer to Christ, He gently took me on a very surprising journey," she says. "First, I found out my father had nine affairs while I was growing up —a secret that rocked my world. Jesus began to show me how the roots of my sexual issues tie together with my dad’s —I was just like him, using people to find comfort, life and love outside of God.” Amy continued to grow in her knowledge of the Scriptures, falling more and more in love with the Lord. The following year, God had another surprise for her: “I went to the seminar called ‘To Be Told,’ hosted at Gateway. I wanted to see how God could put closure to my brokenness, but what He showed me shocked me.” “As Dan Allender was telling a story of a bully," Amy recalls, "I suddenly had a flashback of getting off the school bus. I lived down the street from Jimmy, a boy who had bullied me all year. But this particular day, Jimmy acted nice to me as I got off the bus. “He apologized for being so mean, and he invited me to come to his house.” That day in the seminar, all else faded to black as this vivid nightmare crept back to life. Amy saw herself walking through Jimmy’s front door, noticing all the shades pulled down. Startled, she spied two teenage boys eyeing her with a ravenous look as the door slammed shut. Her screams never escaped the evil darkness that enveloped that house. They pinned her down and raped her. She was only 9! Amy swam in a pool of tears as the seminar continued. Others were oblivious to her divine epiphany. She realized the Lord had been drawing her near to strengthen her for this revelation—to show her the source of so much sexual struggle hidden for years beneath layers of protective mud. “After that, I realized God knows more about me than I know about myself,” Amy recalls, “and He wants to bring healing to these wounds, so I fully gave Him my heart and body—everything. As I continued to seek intimacy with Him, the lesbian struggles fell away. I’m not saying that’s how God works with everyone, but it’s how He’s healing me. The more I focus on God’s intimate love for me and try to see His masterpiece emerge, the less I want anything to get in the way of His work in me.” Seven years later, Amy leads our ministry to help people find healing and wholeness from all kinds of sexual and relational struggles. She’s helping others become God’s restored masterpiece. Jesus Is Never Shocked Do you realize that Jesus is not shocked by the shocking things people do? Jesus knew Zacchaeus had robbed people blind and profited off much unethical behavior, yet Jesus was not shocked. He did not offer Zach correction, but relationship: “Come down, Zacchaeus. I’m staying at your house tonight.” (See Luke 19:5.) That shocked everyone! Yet relationship changed Zacchaeus. Jesus knew that the Samaritan woman at the well had been married and divorced five times. He knew about her current “hookup” and how sexually entangled she was with the guy she was living with. (See John 4.) Jesus was not repulsed. (Samaritans of Jesus’ day were treated by the religious community like gay people often get treated by some of today’s Christian community.) None of this kept Jesus away or kept Him from offering her living water. Maybe Jesus wants Christ- followers who will be less like the Pharisees and more like Him— unshockable. advertisement Luke tells of a time Simon the Pharisee invited Jesus to dinner. Jesus and His disciples went and “reclined at the table” (Luke 7:36) along with Simon’s religious friends, who were skeptical about Jesus’ true identity—mainly because He showed more love for “sinners” than love for the Law of Moses. (Jesus had just made it clear this wasn’t true; He came to fulfill the intent of the Law of Moses.) They invited Jesus there to judge Him, not learn from Him. Middle Eastern dining style consisted of a 1-foot-high table with pillows on the floor for seating, with people sitting usually with feet stretched out to the side or behind them. As the meal proceeded, an immoral woman crashed the party. She sheepishly made her way over to stand behind Jesus. Luke makes sure we know she had “lived a sinful life” (v. 37). She did not just have a few slip-ups, but rather had made a life out of her sexual deviancies, and everyone knew it! Her mud was public knowledge. Her whole life, she had felt judged and condemned by the religious establishment, so to go into the house of her tormentors took enormous courage. Yet there she stood ... because Jesus was there! Somehow word on the street had traveled to her through the crowd she hung out with—there’s hope in Jesus for the muddiest human. Hearing He had come near, an unstoppable force welling up from within had drawn her to His feet. As she stood in His presence, hope burst through the dam of all that pain that had driven her mudslinging behavior— she started to cry. Her tears accidentally landed on Jesus’ dirty feet (that His host had not shown the common courtesy to wash). The tension in the room mounted; everyone’s shoulders tightened as she fell to her knees behind Jesus, bent down and wiped His wet, dirty feet with her hair. She took out a bottle of oil mixed with perfume, took the oil in her hands and gently stroked His feet with the oil—kissing them as she anointed Him with the perfume. Jesus just sat there, never flinching, eyes fixed on the Pharisees, watching them react in shock and disbelief— flames of contempt shooting out of their merciless eyes. Simon could stand it no more. This outrageous scene had proven his point. He muttered to himself and his “more respectable” guests, “If this man were a prophet, he would know who is touching him and what kind of woman she is—that she is a sinner” (v. 39). In other words, if Jesus were truly a prophet, He would know about her scandalous sexual sin, and He would be shocked. But Jesus did know and was not shocked! Now, you have to realize this was a controversial situation. Imagine a known prostitute coming up to your pastor, kissing his feet and rubbing oil on them after the Sunday service. It would be his last Sunday at most churches if he didn’t put an end to it fast! What was Jesus thinking? Why didn’t this shock Jesus like it would all of us? Jesus looks at the heart. It’s about the heart. Jesus confronted the unloving hearts of His host and friends while this woman demonstrated a heart overflowing with love. Jesus said, “Simon, I have something to tell you” (v. 40). “Two people owed money to a certain moneylender. One owed him five hundred denarii [a whole lot of money], and the other fifty [one tenth as much]. Neither of them had the money to pay him back, so he forgave the debts of both. Now which of them will love him more?” Simon replied, “I suppose the one who had the bigger debt forgiven.” “You have judged correctly,” Jesus said. (The only thing Simon had judged correctly that day!) Then He turned toward the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet. You did not put oil on my head, but she has poured perfume on my feet. Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little” (Luke 7:41– 47) It’s all about love! Don’t miss this very critical point Jesus makes to us all: If you truly recognize how much it cost God to forgive you, it will flood your heart with love for God and others who need more of the same. It’s all about love! Not a love that ignores the mud and the damage that destroys God’s Masterpiece, but a love that recognizes how much loving mercy God has given a messed-up person like me! That great love brings grace and truth together to give hope to a broken world in need of forgiveness and restoration. |

What Omega Can Do!

“And I will restore to you the years that
the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you” (Joel 2:25). Most people start their lives, businesses, marriages, jobs, education, and indeed other ventures with God (since He is the Alpha) but abandon Him when they feel He’s delaying. These folks find it difficult relating to God as the Omega in Whom all things work together. Here is a true story. She was a first-class student and a true trailblazer. Her cocktail of accolades was enviable. She rose to the echelon of her banking career in record time, working for the most innovative bank in Nigeria. She specialized in the technological aspect of banking when it was dominated by men. In her insatiable quest for knowledge, she resigned and went to one of the foremost business schools in the United Kingdom and once again, came out with laurels. She was appointed the pioneer managing director of a Nigerian bank in the United Kingdom. She recently resigned from the top management position of one of the biggest banks in Nigeria to set up her consulting firm! All the while, she remained a faithful and devout Christian and devoted wife. Her successes never affected her marriage or her relationship with Jesus. There was, however, a challenge she was battling. She did not have the fruit of the womb after nineteen years of marriage! She still held on to her Omega. Then, Omega showed her why His name is Alpha and Omega! She conceived and delivered three bouncing baby boys! Beloved of God, please don’t give up on God, for He does not give up on His children. If He could offer up Jesus Christ, His first begotten Son, what can He not give you? In His time, He makes all things beautiful and possible! What you are waiting for is still possible - babies, jobs, education, spouses, businesses, houses, promotions, etc. All things will surely work together for your good, and He will surely restore all that you think you’ve lost! Have a spledid weekend in Jesus name. Amen! |

Ask and Recieve!

Rhapsody of Realities
PASTOR CHRIS FRIDAY, MARCH 14TH "ASK AND RECEIVE!" Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. John 16:24 Not only is the Lord able, He's equally willing to grant any request you make of Him. No wonder the Lord Jesus, with excitement and assurance, said in Luke 11:9, "...Ask, and it shall be given you...." God is a giver; He gives generously and graciously to all without holding back (James 1:5). He's more willing to give to you, than you could ever be willing to receive. He never considers anything too good for you. He gives us richly all things to enjoy (1 Timothy 6:17). How gracious and loving He is! Yours is to act on His Word! Ask in the Name of Jesus, and receive. Luke 12:32 says, "Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom." It delights the Lord to bless you and do you good. It's His joy to answer your prayers and grant you your heart's desires. This clearly shows that the Lord is interested in your joy and happiness. He doesn't want you to be sad or depressed for any reason. You may be facing a situation right now that's limiting your joy: the Lord is saying to you, "Ask and receive so that your joy may be full." He wants your joy to be complete. However, don't ask in unbelief; don't ask doubting. Ask in faith. Faith means what you asked for is yours NOW; therefore, you take possession. Don't stop at asking; Jesus didn't just say, "Ask!" He said, "Ask and receive." The word, "receive," is the Greek "lambano," which means to take possession of; to take something and make it yours. For example, if having been married, you've desired to have a child; having prayed, receive. Say, "In the Name of Jesus I receive my child." Right after that, start testifying. If you're asked, "Sister, is there any sign at all?" Say, "I'm not waiting for any sign; my baby is already inside me!" Learn to give God praise for receiving in your spirit what you've desired of Him. When you receive from God, you must act like it; that's why Jesus said, "Ask and take it—(lambano)"; start acting like you know it's done. If there's anything you desire, put your faith to work today. Ask the Father in the Name of Jesus, and receive the answer! CONFESSION I'm walking in the glory of God! My life is the testimony of His love, power, greatness and grace; and in the Name of Jesus, I am making progress, excelling, and getting greater by the day. All things are working together for my good, and I rejoice exceedingly today knowing that the Lord gives attention to my prayers, to grant me my heart's desires. My joy overflows today, in Jesus' Name. Amen. RAISED AS KINGS...

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES. RAISED AS
KINGS... *PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME* THURSDAY, MARCH 13TH, 2014 ...I was my father's son, tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother. He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live (Proverbs 4:3-4). 2 Chronicles 1 tells us how the Lord appeared to Solomon on a certain night and said, "Ask for whatever you want." Solomon, being smart, answered: "Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?" (2 Chronicles 1:10). How did Solomon know he should ask for wisdom, and not for anything else, such that even God made a wonderful remark about him? (Read 2 Chronicles 1:11-12). Solomon's words in our opening verse give us an idea. Certainly, he wasn't David's only son, yet he said, "I was my father's son." This meant he was the "adopted son"; the one groomed for the throne. There was a special training David bequeathed to him, which the other sons didn't have. In the Scriptures, being the "adopted son" doesn't refer to fostering another person's son as your son and getting all the legal documentations to that effect. Rather, it describes the situation in those days, where a monarch with several sons, chose which one of them would be his heir-apparent. He'd then give him (the chosen heir-apparent) to the governors, teachers or instructors to train in military service and in all kinds of discipline and learning, until he came to maturity. When he was trained and ready for office, he was brought back to the king as the "adopted son." In the same way, not all who are born again have understood the leading of the Spirit and the life of dominion He's brought us to. Many are yet to understand spiritual realities; so they've got to be properly taught and nurtured in Christ unto maturity. That's the reason God "...gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints....Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ" (Ephesians 4:11-13). He wants every one of us to grow unto perfection; unto maturity in the things of the Spirit and live as His adopted sons— walking in the supernatural; winning and excelling every day in life. PRAYER Dear Father, I thank you for instructing, directing, and training me for a life of victory and dominion over the elements of this world, and preparing me to be a steward of the powers of the age to come, in Jesus' Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY Romans 8:19 Living Bible (TLB) 19 For all creation is waiting patiently and hopefully for that future day when God will resurrect his children. Galatians 4:6-7 Living Bible (TLB) 6 And because we are his sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, so now we can rightly speak of God as our dear Father. 7 Now we are no longer slaves but God’s own sons. And since we are his sons, everything he has belongs to us, for that is the way God planned. Galatians 4:1-2 Living Bible (TLB) 4 But remember this, that if a father dies and leaves great wealth for his little son, that child is not much better off than a slave until he grows up, even though he actually owns everything his father had. 2 He has to do what his guardians and managers tell him to until he reaches whatever age his father set. Knowing His Voice

Rhapsody Of Realities Daily Devotional
Pastor Anita Oyakhilome Theme: Knowing His Voice Date: Wednesday March 12th, 2014 Scriptural Ref: Revelation: 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me (Revelation 3:20). The Lord Jesus said, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me" (John 10:27). In other words, if you belong to Christ, you have no problem discerning His voice. Many wonder if it's possible to hear God speak, in a world where there're so many voices. The words of the Master in John 10:2-5 clarify this: "But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers." The more you study the Word, the more you recognize and know the voice of God, because God and His Word are one. He speaks through His Word. Even if He were to give you a prophecy or a word from the Spirit, it'll always be consistent with His written Word. Through constant meditation on His Word, His voice becomes clearer to you, and His blessings become manifest in all you do. Joshua 1:8 says, "This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success." If, as a Christian, you've found it difficult to recognize God's voice, you need to keep hearing and receiving His Word into your spirit, to become sensitive to His voice. You'd need to develop a voracious appetite for the Word. Colossians 3:16 says, "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom...." The voice of God's Spirit is made known to you through the written Word. Moreover, you have to learn to act on the Word quickly. When you receive instructions or counsel from God's Word, don't delay; act quickly. That's learning to train your spirit. In addition, praying in the spirit, that is, praying in tongues, helps your spirit to be conditioned to be in sync with God's ideas, visions and promptings. The more you pray in tongues, the more sensitive your spirit will be to His voice. CONFESSION: I know the voice and the leading of the Spirit, for I'm a child of God. I'm always quick to respond to the promptings, instructions and counsel from God's Word, and from His Holy Spirit within me. Amen. Further Study: Colossians 3:16; Proverbs 4:20-22; Isaiah 55:10-11 Let the word [spoken by] Christ (the Messiah) have its home [in your hearts and minds] and dwell in you in [all its] richness, as you teach and admonish and train one another in all insight and intelligence and wisdom [in spiritual things, and as you sing] psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, making melody to God with [His] grace in your hearts. (Colossians 3:16 AMP) My son, attend to my words; consent and submit to my sayings. Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the center of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh. (Proverbs 4:20-22 AMP) For as the rain and snow come down from the heavens, and return not there again, but water the earth and make it bring forth and sprout, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, [II Cor. 9:10.] So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. Hebrews 11:33 says, “Who through faith
subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions.” Millions of people existed from the times of Abel and Abraham until the days of the apostles, but only few were mentioned in the Hall of Faith in Hebrews 11. They all had one thing in common: they conquered life’s biggest challenges through unwavering faith (the same faith you and I have)! A man without faith calls excuses challenges. If you think you have challenges, then go back and read the stories of Abraham, Joseph, David, and Apostle Paul to mention but a few. Many people in Biblical times must have conquered more than those challenges you are facing, yet their names were never mentioned in God’s Hall of Faith. Faith is measured by the value of victory it conquers. Remember that the greatest bull-riders are the ones who stay the longest on top of raging bulls! The greatest oaks are the ones that withstand the greatest storms. The best sailors are the ones who train in the deadliest seas. Olympic Gold medallists are those few who continue after everyone else gives up! As Christians, our best qualities are revealed when we pass through our greatest trials in life! We should never be afraid to ride the bulls of life. What is keeping you from achieving your God- inspired dreams? Are they truly challenges or excuses? |

Rhapsody of Realities
PASTOR CHRIS TUESDAY, MARCH 11TH UNDERSTANDING HIS WILL FOR ASKING And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. 1 John 5:I4-15 Praying according to the will of God is a key ingredient for success in prayer, especially the prayer of petition. However, many have a misconception of what exactly it means to "ask according to God's will." Some have assumed, mostly, because they haven't been adequately taught the Word, that the reason they didn't receive answers to their prayers was because such prayers weren't in line with God's will for them. They assume God didn't want them to have what they were asking for. But this is an erroneous interpretation of God's Word in the context of prayer. Those who hold this mistaken notion that their prayers weren't answered because they didn't pray according to God's will fail to understand that the Holy Spirit's emphasis in our opening verse isn't primarily the consistency of their request with God's will, but their exclusive privilege of having a hearing with God. When He tells us to "ask according to God's will," He isn't talking about "WHAT" we ask for, but "HOW" we ask for it. In other words, the way and manner you present your petitions ought to be consistent with God's stipulated pattern. It's important to know, therefore, how to ask the Father according to His will for asking. John 16:23-24 gives us a clear idea: "And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full." Jesus, at this instance, introduced the exclusive deal—the new, acceptable way of asking from God. The Father's will for asking is asking in the Name of Jesus. When you make requests to the Father in Jesus' Name, you're actually functioning in Jesus' stead. It's as though Jesus were the one making that request. The Father loves you unconditionally; all He wants is for you to ask according to His will—in the Name of Jesus—and receive answers. PRAYER Dear Father, I rejoice at the awesome privilege and blessing of praying in the Name of Jesus. Thank you for ordaining me to receive answers to prayers, and teaching me the acceptable way of asking in accordance to your will! I'm thus confident of answers to my petitions as I offer them in the Name of Jesus today. Amen. Exodus 16:19 - And Moses said, Let no
man leave of it till the morning. It’s another beautiful day, indeed, the start of another beautiful week. Like He did yesterday, God has deposited yet another 24 hours into your ‘life account’ today. How do you intend to spend it? Like manna in the wilderness, the 24 hours cannot be stored beyond each particular day! You have to exhaustively utilize them as you will be supplied with yet another 24 hours tomorrow. I have observed that money and time are like chameleons – they take the colour of their surroundings. Money without a purpose is useless. Money and time in the hands of a prodigal will produce an unending life of squander. Money in the hands of a believer is on a mission! Money in the hands of a son of consolation will lead to the propagation of the gospel. Because God is a shrewd investor Who searches the heart before investing His resources, ministers only bread to the eater but seed to the sower – (2 Corinthians 9:10 - Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;). Can you now understand why it was not coincidental that it was the foolish unproductive servant that got one ‘talent’? Ecclesiastes 11:6 - In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good. Be prudent in spending your time and resources today as we will all give accounts to the One that has graciously supplied them to you. May this day, indeed this week, turn out to be the best ever in your life in Jesus name. Amen! Remain blessed! |

Divine Networking

Divine Networking - Monday March 10th,
2014 - Pastor Chris Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee (1 Kings 17:9) In Exodus 1-2, the Bible tells us how Pharaoh issued an edict for all male children from two years and below among the Hebrews to be killed. Moses was born to his Hebrew parents during this period, and his mother hid him for three months. When she could no longer hide him, she placed him in a basket, which she left at the edge of the river. Soon enough, Pharaoh's daughter came to have a bath at the same river and noticed a basket in the tall grass. She sent a servant to get it, and when she opened the basket, she saw the baby, and instantly fell in love with him. She chose to take care of him and ordered her servants to get one of the Hebrew women to help nurse the baby. The woman they found was Moses' very own mother, and she was paid a salary to take care of her own baby. This didn't happen by chance; God orchestrated everything. He knows who to place right where you're going. He said, "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last" (Revelation 22:13). This means in your life, there shouldn't be unpleasant surprises; He's the first and the last, and He's organized everything from start to finish. Make a choice to go only in the direction He's already charted for you. Some people go in the direction they created for themselves, and this is dangerous. In that path, there's a lot of trouble, struggling and hardship. In God's path, however, there's no darkness. Everything is already prearranged according to the timing of His Spirit to be right there at the time you require it. Instead of praying, "O Lord, network and connect me to the right people," speak in tongues. The more you speak in tongues, the more He links you with the materials, circumstances, people, and the funding that align with His call for your life. As you speak in tongues, you won't find yourself "labouring" to connect with people; there'll be response from the realm of the spirit. God knows everybody and He knows everything. He knows what you need and He can get it all across to you. He's big enough to do that. PRAYER: Dear Father, thank you for the Holy Spirit, who always helps me with the right connections I need to put me over in life. I declare that I am divinely connected with all resources—human, material, financial—that are consistent with my destiny in Christ, in Jesus' Name. Amen. Dispensers Of Life
|
|
Rhapsody Of Realities Daily Devotional;
Dispensers Of Life Sunday March 9th, 2014 - Pastor Anita For the scripture says, "The first man, Adam, was created a living being"; but the last Adam is the life-giving Spirit (1 Corinthians 15:45 GNB). In John 10:10 the Lord Jesus declared, "...I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." He left no one in doubt as to His purpose; He came to give eternal life to those who would believe in Him. He gave further confirmation to this truth when He said, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life..." (John 10:27-28). No wonder He's described in our opening scripture as the life-giving Spirit. Having been born again, you're one with Christ. 1 Corinthians 6:17 says, "...he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit." You have become one spirit with the Lord; as He is, so are you (1 John 4:17); therefore, you're a life-giving spirit. Not only has He made you a partaker of His life, you're also the dispenser or distributor of divine life. This is your life's purpose on earth; to bring the lost into the life of righteousness through the Gospel. Jesus said in John 20:21, "...as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you." He has appointed you as His representative on earth, to manifest the God-life to the nations of the world. He has sent you as a bearer of His Gospel to bring the lost into the liberty of the sons of God; into the glorious life in Christ. Eternal life is unveiled through the preaching of the Gospel. As people listen to you preach, eternal life—salvation, prosperity and the righteousness of God—are unveiled to them. PRAYER: Dear Father, I thank you for your blessed Word, and the joy it brings to me daily. Thank you for the glorious life you've given me, and for making me a life-giving spirit. As I preach the Word today, eternal life is imparted to those to whom I minister, in the Name of Jesus. Amen. “The God-Kind Of Talk”
|
|
Rhapsody Of Realities Daily Devotional
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome PhD Theme: “The God-Kind Of Talk” Date: Saturday March 8th, 2014 ... for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me (Hebrews 13:5-6). Proverbs 6:2 says, “Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.” This scripture underscores the precarious situations many have found themselves in today. They’ve been taken captive by their negative confessions; bound by their words. However, if you’ve been taught right, you’ll think right, and the result of that is, you’ll talk right. Moreover, when you talk right, you’ll act right. When you talk right and act right, your life will turn out right. Our confessions rule us. When it comes to words, there’s no such thing as “I actually didn’t mean it.” Jesus didn’t say, “You shall have what you mean,” He said, you shall have what you say (Mark 11:23). When you joke, don’t joke against the Word. Consciously speak in consonance with the Word always— over your life, finances, business, health, etc. Proverbs 18:20 says, “A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.” Here, the scripture isn’t talking about how big your lips are. It’s talking about the words of wisdom pouring out of your mouth. If you’re not going to live a hungry life, then you’re advised to speak the right words. If you don’t want to be broke, then talk the right kind of talk— the God talk! Proverbs 18:21 tells us, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” This means you can speak life and reap a harvest of good things. Whatever you believe and voice out with your mouth is what’s going to happen in your life. This is a law of the spirit, and it works, whether or not you believe it. Prayer Dear Father, I thank you for showing me the way to a life of continuous victory, through my faith-filled confessions, in accordance to your word! I’ll never be discouraged nor subject to the crippling principles of this world, because the Word of God on my lips is God talking. I reign triumphantly over all the negativities of life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. JESUS: THE REIGNING KING
|
|
RHAPSODY OF REALITIES
FRIDAY, MARCH 7TH JESUS: THE REIGNING KING ==>PASTOR CHRIS For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet (1 Corinthians 15:25). Whenever certain things are trendy, such as a hairstyle, clothes, shoes, cars, designs or a business for example, many make comments like, “This is the reigning thing.” What they’re trying to say is, “This is the vogue of the moment.” I always interject when anyone makes such a statement around me, because the only One who’s reigning is Christ Jesus; and I’m reigning with Him. Notice what our opening verse says: “For he (Christ) must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.” He’s the reigning King, and you’re reigning with Him: “For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:17). Colossians 1:13 tells us that we belong to the Kingdom of God’s dear Son. So, as a child of God you live in this spiritual kingdom where Jesus reigns. You therefore shouldn’t accept that anything else but the Lord is reigning. He’s the only King, and we only recognize His eternal Kingdom to which we belong. He must reign over demons, devils, hell, and the grave. He must reign over sickness, disease, and infirmities. He must reign over them until they’re all subdued, and have no more voice or way to express themselves. As long as a tumour, cancer or any kind of sickness can express itself in your body, it’s against your reign. So what do you do in such a condition? Don’t keep quiet. Refuse to accommodate sickness in the Name of Jesus. That’s how to make the Word of God reign in your life. Reject everything that’s not of God and endorse only that which is consistent with His perfect will for you. CONFESSION I dwell in Zion; the Kingdom of light, and of God’s dear Son where I reign with Christ and rule by the power of the Spirit! I thank you Father, for bringing me into such a beautiful place of glory, honour and prosperity. Halleluiah! LIVING IN HIS EXCELLENT NAME
|
|
RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY
DEVOTIONAL: LIVING IN HIS EXCELLENT NAME ~ Thursday, March 6th - Pastor Anita. For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring Acts 17:28. True Christianity is living in the Name of Jesus. The very thought of this is so awe- inspiring! Colossians 3:17 says “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus….” Notice that the underlined phrase says “…do all in the name of the Lord Jesus,” not “through the name of the Lord Jesus.” There’s a big difference between the two. Doing all things in His Name means living in His Name. That’s the way to live a supernatural life. That means you’re living for Him, in His authority. Therefore, defeat, failure, and poverty can’t be a part of your life. Life for you is glory all the way, because the Name of Jesus is named upon you. Not realizing this truth is the reason some Christians erroneously, pray through Jesus. Nowhere in the scriptures are we told to pray through Jesus Christ. Rather, we’re to pray ‘in’ the Name of Jesus. To pray through Him is to make Him a medium; but to pray in His Name is to exercise the power of attorney that He has given to you. The former is a demonstration of unbelief, while the latter is real Christianity. Nothing could be more sublime than our call to live in the Name of the Creator of the universe. His is the most wonderful and excellent Name there is. Living with this consciousness will stir unprecedented boldness in your spirit, such that you’re totally unruffled by any crisis! What a glorious life we have in Christ! Everything in life is subject to the power and authority of His Name. God gave a decree to that effect; He commanded all of nature—everything in life—animate or inanimate, to hear and obey Jesus (Matthew 17:5). He has all authority in heaven, and on earth. So if you find yourself in a challenging situation, declare, “In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I decree a change! I command peace and calmness,” and that’ll be it! PRAYER Dear Father, I thank you for giving me the Name of Jesus, to use and to live by. By the power and authority of that Name I declare that the lines are falling unto me in pleasant places; I’m making progress with giant strides today, with all of nature, and everything that exists, working together in my favour, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 5TH YOUR PROSPERITY IS GOD-ORDAINED ==>PASTOR CHRIS Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth (3 John 1:2). The first step to living in prosperity is to believe in prosperity. Some Christians don’t believe in it. Most times, they’re the same who condemn and criticize preachers who teach God’s Word on prosperity. Not to believe in prosperity or in the message of prosperity is not to believe in God, for if you study the Bible carefully, you will discover that the prosperity of the Christian is God-ordained, God’s idea, and God’s desire. If anyone must question, doubt, or get skeptical about the message of prosperity, it shouldn’t be the Christians. We must understand that God already gave the Christian his heritage in Christ Jesus. Man is a spirit and his life isn’t dependent on circumstances. What matters to God is your spiritual condition. Therefore, whether or not you have money in your bank account doesn’t change who you are, and it shouldn’t change your testimony of God. Money is only a tool to get the things you want, and where money isn’t enough to get them, you can obtain them through faith. The Bible says, “…all things are yours” (1 Corinthians 3:21). Your purchasing power isn’t money, it’s faith. So you’re prosperous irrespective of the value of the currencies in the world. It’s the same thing with your health; it doesn’t matter if you’re feeling headaches or pains in your body, divine health is your divine present-hour heritage. Declare, “I refuse to be sick, because I’ve got the life of God in me.” If you’re a child of God, believe in prosperity and don’t be apologetic about it. Don’t accept to be poor or average. You’ve been made rich (2 Corinthians 8:9); refuse to talk lack and poverty. Instead, keep talking your abundance! P R A Y E R==> Thank you, heavenly Father, for my heritage in Christ. I believe and acknowledge the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ who though was rich, made Himself poor that I might become rich. I accept my prosperity as your will and plan for my life in Jesus’ Name. Amen. F U R T H E R S T U D Y Deuteronomy 8:18(AMP) But you shall [earnestly] remember the Lord your God, for it is He Who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day. (KJV) But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day. 2 Corinthians 8:9(AMP) For you are becoming progressively acquainted with and recognizing more strongly and clearly the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ (His kindness, His gracious generosity, His undeserved favor and spiritual blessing), [in] that though He was [so very] rich, yet for your sakes He became [so very] poor, in order that by His poverty you might become enriched (abundantly supplied). (KJV) For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich. You Can Win Always

You Can Win Always – Tuesday, March
4th, 2014 – Pastor Chris Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. (2 Corinthians 2:14). One Bible character that inspires me greatly is King David; there's so much about him in Scriptures that's so inspiring. He was a very successful king, who never lost a battle. The only time Israel ever lost a battle in David's day was when he didn't go. How could a man be so successful? It shows us the kind of mindset that he had. Think like that: you're ordained of God to win always and never lose. There're people who are used to winning and losing. They say, "Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose; sometimes you're healthy, and sometimes you're sick." For them, life is full of ups and downs, but that's not the way it should be. You can, and should, always win. That's the life of the man in Christ – a life of glory, excellence, and constant victories. Jesus was always a winner; He was always victorious because of who He was and what He knew. Success or failure will depend on who you are and what you know. God said, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge..." (Hosea 4:6). Some of God's people suffer because they lack spiritual knowledge – true knowledge of God's Word. However, 2 Peter 14:1 says, "Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord." Notice he didn't say grace and peace will be added, but that they'll be multiplied through knowledge. This is a special kind of knowledge; it's not "ginosko" (the introductory knowledge you receive when you accept Christ as Lord of your life). This knowledge is "epignosis"; it's specialized and accurate knowledge. It is experiential knowledge; knowledge that relates with that which is known. All the beautiful and wonderful blessings and promises God has given you in His Word won't do you any good if you don't know about them and know what to do with them. To win always in life, you need the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord. Through this knowledge, you multiply grace and peace in your life. "Peace" here means "power over crisis." Meaning that, in the midst of the storms and troubles of life, you'll always win. Glory to God! Confession: I'm a winner, a success, and a victor at every count. I walk in continual victory because I know who I am. Everything I'm involved in prospers because I have the life of God in me and have overcome the world. He Goes All The Way!
|
|
I usually don’t like Indian films, but
there’s this one I watched a long time ago that has stuck in my memories. A poor woman was framed for murdering her husband. With the poison as the evidence, there was no possible way of absolving her of the crime she did not commit. Her lawyer was a bright law graduate, fresh from law school. He could have wished for a better case to start his legal career, but wishes are not horses. Something remarkable happened the day the case was judged in court. The judge wanted a quick trail, as the overwhelming evidence (the poison) was offered as the one and only piece of evidence by the prosecution team. The young lawyer stood up and told the judge that his client was innocent and that the purported poison could not kill even a rat. Before anyone could imagine where he was going with his argument, he grabbed the poison and emptied it into his mouth. The court was in shock. The widow was acquitted instantly. The lawyer was operated upon in an ambulance on the way to the hospital a few seconds after the court drama, and he didn’t die. Agreed, this is just fiction, but the story mirrors what the Bible says in John 15:13: “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” Jesus actually died for you and me. There’s therefore no limit to how far He can go in helping us in times of trouble! Psalm 50:15 says, “And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.” And Psalm 46:1 say, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” May God's grace, love, joy, goodness and mercies overshadow you and yours today, this week, this month, and indeed this year in Jesus mighty Name. Amen! Remain blessed! |
