PRAYING BY THE POWER OF THE
SPIRIT!...!
SATURDAY-:¤19TH-:¤APRIL-:¤2014
WITH*«PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME*»
Then he answered and spake unto me,
saying, This is the word of the LORD
unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might,
nor by power, but by my spirit, saith
the LORD of hosts. {Zechariah 4:6}
Anyone can pray in the Name of Jesus,
and also say something that's covered
by the Word of God, but these alone
don't guarantee results. That's why
some pray, but nothing happens, while
some others say the same words and
miracles take place. The first set of
people spoke words that weren't
energized, communicated, inspired, and
anointed by the Holy Spirit. As a result,
they didn't get what they asked for;
their words were not powered by the
Spirit.
I‘ve taught you two principles on
prayer in our two previous lessons:
"Praying In The Authority Of His Name"
and "Praying By The Authority Of The
Word," yet, it's so important that you
make your requests by the power of
the Holy Spirit. These three elements
combine to make our prayer lives
effective. The power of the Holy Spirit
is the missing element in many
people's lives, and they wonder why
their prayers aren't as effective as they
should be. In Ephesians 5:18-19, the
Apostle Paul tells us, "And be not
drunk with wine, wherein is excess;
but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking
to yourselves in psalms and hymns and
spiritual songs, singing and making
melody in your heart to the Lord."
When you're filled with the Spirit,
you'll bring the supernatural power of
the Holy Spirit to bear on your words,
and they'll be impregnated with divine
power! The anointing has to be on your
words. That is what makes the
difference. At the Healing School, for
example, when we minister to the sick
in the Name of Jesus, and on the basis
of what the Word says, we do so by
the power of the Holy Spirit. No
wonder astounding healing miracles
take place at every healing session.
In the book of Acts, you'll observe
these three. The Apostles ministered
in the Name of Jesus, with the Word of
God, and by the power of the Holy
Spirit. That's why they had such
extraordinary results in their lives and
ministry.
PRAYER::::::}
Dear Father, I thank you for the
indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit.
As I speak in tongues today, He
energizes and anoints my words,
making them potent to effect the
changes that I desire, in my health,
family, finances, on my job, and in my
world, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Theme: Praying By The Authority Of
The Word
Date: Friday April 18th, 2014
Scriptural Ref: Acts 3:16
And his name through faith in his name
hath made this man strong, whom ye
see and know: yea, the faith which is
by him hath given him this perfect
soundness in the presence of you all
(Acts 3:16).
Yesterday, we learnt about praying in
the authority of the Name of Jesus.
Another very important element in
prayer is praying by the authority of
the Word of God. This refers to the
revelation and insight given to us by
God through His Word. It means acting
our faith in prayer, on the basis of the
Word of God; if God's Word covers it,
then we're audacious in faith to receive
answers.
1 John 5:14-15 says "And this is the
confidence that we have in him, that, if
we ask any thing according to his will,
he heareth us: And if we know that he
hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know
that we have the petitions that we
desired of him." When we pray
according to His will-according to His
Word-we're heard and we're
answered. This is a very important
factor for us to learn about prayer.
Some people, while praying, just talk,
and don't care whether or not what
they're saying is in line with the Word
of God.
For example, if you said to me, "Give
me such and such," you've made a
request without being sure whether
I'm going to give it to you. However, if
I made a promise to give it to you,
you'll have faith to make that request.
God already gave His Word, to show us
everything that He's given to us,
everything that He's made us, and
everything that we can do in Christ
Jesus.
Moreover, He has also revealed to us
how to ask; how to pray and what our
requests can cover. Therefore, you can
have faith when you pray to God, and
your faith grows as you learn the Word
of God. The more of God's Word you
know, the more faith you'll have.
Romans 10:17 says "...faith cometh by
hearing, and hearing by the word of
God."
PRAYER:
Dear Father, I thank you for the power
of your Word and its ability to cause
the change that I desire to see as I
pray according to your will. I declare
that forever, your Word of truth guides
me in the path of your divine and
perfect will for my life. I walk in
strength, health and victory today
because I live by your Word, in Jesus'
Name. Amen.

Praying In The Authority Of His Name

Thursday, April 17th .
Pastor Chris

And whatsoever ye do in word or deed,
do all in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks to God and the Father by
him (Colossians 3:17).
There are three important factors
about prayer that we’ll study in the
next three days. The first is praying in
the authority of the Name of Jesus. As
Christians, when we pray, we do so in
the Name of Jesus; which means we’re
standing in His stead. Jesus gave us the
power of attorney to use His Name, in
prayer.
There’re those who pray “through” the
Name of Jesus, and that’s wrong. To
pray “through” Jesus is to make Him a
medium or an intermediary to the
Father. However, to pray “in the Name
of Jesus,” which is the right way to
pray, means you’re standing in the
place of Jesus; you’ve become His
voice! So, in praying to the Father, do
so in the Name of Jesus.
In John 16:23, Jesus said, “…Verily,
verily, I say unto you, whatsoever ye
shall ask the Father in my name, he
will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked
nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall
receive, that your joy may be full.”
Notice that Jesus didn’t say,
“whatsoever ye shall ask the Father
through my name, he will give it you.”
Before you were born again, the Name
of Jesus was given to you so you could
come through that Name to the Father
and be saved.
Now, having accepted His invitation and
come to the Father at the new birth
through Christ, you now have eternal
life; the life and nature of God. You
now dwell in Him, and live by the
power of His Name. Philippians 2:9
says, “…God also hath highly exalted
him (Jesus), and given him a name
which is above every name.” His Name
is the greatest Name in heaven, and in
earth. God has vested all authority in
that Name. Whatever you ask the
Father, in the authority of the Name of
Jesus, will be granted you.
The Lord Jesus has delegated His
authority to you; the same authority
He had on earth to request anything of
the Father and have it granted.
Prayer
Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for
vesting all authority in the Name of
Jesus, and for granting me the privilege
of praying in His Name and effecting
changes in the circumstances of life. I
declare that my life is glorious, and
your perfect will is fulfilled in me
today, in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
Further Study: John 16:23-27 And in
that day ye shall ask me nothing.
Verily, verily, I say unto you,
Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in
my name, he will give it you. 24
Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my
name: ask, and ye shall receive, that
your joy may be full. 25 These things
have I spoken unto you in proverbs:
but the time cometh, when I shall no
more speak unto you in proverbs, but I
shall shew you plainly of the Father. 26
At that day ye shall ask in my name:
and I say not unto you, that I will pray
the Father for you: 27 For the Father
himself loveth you, because ye have
loved me, and have believed that I
came out from God.

ENDLESS SUPPLY
Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust,
and the gold of Ophir as the stones of
the brooks. Yea, the Almighty shall be
thy defence, and thou shalt have
plenty of silver.
Job 22:24-25
To lay up gold as dust means your
supply never ends. When you wipe a
surface clean of dust and give some
time, it won't be long before some
dust settles back on it. This scripture
above lets you know that it's possible
for you to have an unending supply of
finances. It may be the beginning of a
month, and you're about to use up
your last cash. Don't start fretting and
wondering "Where else can I get
money; I only have one source-my
monthly salary." Don't talk like that.
That's the world's way of talking; that's
the way the world's system operates.
Your job or business is not your source
of income; God is your eternal source
of everything!
Here's what you should do instead:
declare, I lay up gold as dust, in the
Name of Jesus! That's being supply-
conscious. Never make statements like,
"Things are tight. I have to manage. If
I give or spend so much, I won't have
anything left." Those who talk that way
inadvertently bring themselves to a
position of disadvantage, because of
their confessions of lack.
Learn what the Word says about God's
financial plan for His children: about
tithes and offerings, sowing and
reaping, giving and receiving. Practise
them and see God's blessings multiply
in your life.
God wants you to live at that higher
level of spiritual consciousness where
your spiritual eyes are open to see that
the whole world belongs to you. As
you consciously develop yourself in His
Word, you'll
realize He's already given you
everything that pertains to life and
godliness. Lay claims to your
possessions by walking in the light of
God's Word.
Walk in the practical consciousness of
what the Word says about your
Kingdom rights, privileges, and
possessions in Christ Jesus. Declare:
The Lord is my shepherd; therefore, I
refuse to lack. Doors of opportunity are
open unto me. I'm blessed, and all my
needs are abundantly supplied
according to God's riches in glory by
Christ Jesus. Halleluiah.
CONFESSION
I'm walking in the light of my
prosperity today, for I'm the seed of
Abraham; I have access to wealth
untold, therefore I'm supply conscious!
Lack and want are not a part of my life
because I'm plugged to God's unending
supply, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

FAITH SPEAKS!
And Jesus answering saith unto them,
Have faith in God. For verily I say unto
you, That whosoever shall say unto this
mountain, Be thou removed, and be
thou cast into the sea; and shall not
doubt in his heart, but shall believe
that those things which he saith shall
come to pass, he shall have
whatsoever he saith.
Mark 11:22-23
The Master in Mark 11:23 illustrated
what true faith is, and what it does: it
believes and speaks! He says whatever
you desire will become yours by
vocalizing what you believe. This
means you agree with, and say what,
the Word says about you or your
situation. Faith isn't just to believe
God's Word in your heart; faith actually
speaks.
Faith "calls those things which be not
as though they were" (Romans 4:17).
Therefore, you should declare your
healing and health, prosperity and
victory. Don't keep quiet; the faith
that works believes and therefore
speaks: "We having the same spirit of
faith, according as it is written, I
believed, and therefore have I spoken;
we also believe, and therefore
speak" (2 Corinthians 4:13). You
believe first that what you desire
exists, and then give voice to it.
This is where some have
misunderstood faith: they don't speak
because they've believed; they speak
to believe. Though they confess God's
Word, they actually struggle with their
believing. This explains why they get
frustrated when things don't turn out
as they expected. When the Lord said
to Abram "Neither shall thy name any
more be called Abram, but thy name
shall be Abraham; for a father of many
nations have I made thee" (Genesis
17:5), the man was still childless.
However, he immediately began to call
himself "Abraham" (father of many).
He didn't wait to see the physical
children before he confessed who he
was; he believed and therefore spoke
accordingly.
What God has said about you in His
Word is the reality, therefore, be bold
to declare the same, notwithstanding
what the devil, circumstances and even
your mind may tell you. Keep speaking
your victory and dominion in Christ
Jesus. Keep declaring the Word
concerning your job, family, and
finances.
PRAYER
God's Word is at work in me, producing
results and building my faith strong!
My faith prevails today as I put it to
work. My faith is the victory that
overcomes the world; I'm experiencing
the glory of God in my health, family,
and finances in Jesus' Name. Amen.

MONDAY, APRIL 14TH
MAKE THAT CHANGE
Each of you must take responsibility for
doing the creative best you can with
your own life.
Galatians 6:5 MSG
Some Christians try to make God
responsible for what actually is their
responsibility. Often times, when
something unpleasant happens they'd
conclude, "It's the will of God;
otherwise, why did He let it happen?"
What such people need to realize is
that the authority to change things on
earth, and make your life as beautiful
as you want it to be, has been
delegated to us. Thus, you can make
your life glorious; and one of the ways
to do this is by your faith.
In Matthew 17:20, the Lord Jesus was
emphatic when He said, "...verily I say
unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of
mustard seed, ye shall say unto this
mountain, Remove hence to yonder
place; and it shall remove; and nothing
shall be impossible unto you." He
makes it clear that you can create your
victorious life by acting your faith; you
don't have to wait on God! He already
gave you the measure of faith you
require to "move mountains"; that is,
to effect the changes you desire. If
Jesus had said, "nothing shall be
impossible unto God," that would have
been easy enough to agree with; but
He said nothing shall be impossible
unto YOU.
Then in Mark 9:23, He said, "...all
things are possible to him that
believeth." So the big question is: Do
you believe? If you do, then what do
you believe? If you believe His Word
and put it to work in your life, then
anything is possible with you. You
shouldn't wait for God to alter the
circumstances keeping you from living
out His Word; you're responsible to
cause those changes that you desire.
Don't "wait" for His Word to come to
pass in your life; rather, you're to
"work" the Word. Philippians 2:12
says, "...work out your own salvation
with fear and trembling." In other
words, work out the Word in your life
and make it produce results. By your
faith, you can be what you want to be,
change what you want to change, and
achieve what you want to achieve!
God has already given you the
dominion and the authority to create
your triumphant life by altering the
course of events in your life to conform
with His perfect will. Keep living in the
Word, and the glory of God will be
manifest in all you do.
CONFESSION
I can do all things through Christ, who
strengthens me. My life is one of
endless glory, joy, victories, successes,
and possibilities! Nothing is impossible
unto me! I'm a believer in Christ Jesus,
therefore, a possessor of all things!
Halleluiah.

HE STRENGTHENS YOUR FAITH
...And if any man sin, we have an
advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ
the righteous: And he is the
propitiation for our sins: and not for
ours only, but also for the sins of the
whole world
1 John 2:1-2
Some Christians, out of ignorance, say
that since Jesus went to heaven, He's
been begging the Father on our behalf
to have mercy on us because of our
sins. Such Christians completely
misunderstand our opening scripture.
Jesus isn't in heaven trying to defend
you from the Father's wrath, for the
Father Himself loves you (John 16:27).
On the contrary, Jesus is there to
present you holy and blameless before
the Father, and to strengthen your
faith during times of trials (Colossians
1:22).
The intercessory ministry of Jesus on
our behalf as Christians isn't
necessarily against the Father's wrath.
He intercedes for you to be
strengthened when you're going
through difficulties in your life. He
doesn't want your faith to falter; so
that no matter the opposition you face
in this world you'll come out
victoriously. He's on your side;
therefore, it's impossible for you to be
defeated or disadvantaged!
The Book of Hebrews describes Him as
our great High Priest before the Father
(Hebrews 2:17; 3:1; 4:14; 8:1; 9:11),
not our Mediator. He is the Mediator
between God and sinners; not
between God and the Church. 1
Timothy 2:5-6 says, "For there is one
God and one mediator between God
and men, the man Christ Jesus; who
gave himself a ransom, for all to be
testified in due time." He's man's
Kinsman-redeemer, Mediator and
Umpire.
However, for us who have been born
again, we've been brought into the
Kingdom and made to sit with Him at
the right hand of the Father. Therefore,
we don't need Him to mediate
between us and the Father any more.
We're born to live right in the Father's
presence. This is why it would be
wrong and ineffective for a Christian to
pray to the Father through Jesus
Christ. Rather, you pray in His Name.
Praying through Him is making Him a
medium to reach the Father, and for
the Christian, Jesus is not a medium;
He's the High Priest of our confessions.
Glory to God!
PRAYER
Precious Father, I thank you for your
grace, mercy and love by which I live a
life of glory. I'm strengthened
continually in my faith-walk, being fully
assured of your eternal indwelling and
abiding presence, through the Holy
Spirit, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Glorified By His Glory - Friday April
11th, 2014 - Pastor Chris
All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered
together unto thee, the rams of
Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they
shall come up with acceptance on mine
altar, and I will glorify the house of my
glory (Isaiah 60:7).
God's glory changes constantly and
continuously on His throne. The angelic
beings see His glory and bow in
worship. By the time they raise their
heads, the glory has changed, and they
bow again; this continues throughout
eternity. "And all the angels stood
round about the throne, and about the
elders and the four beasts, and fell
before the throne on their faces, and
worshipped God, Saying, Amen:
Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and
thanksgiving, and honour, and power,
and might, be unto our God for ever
and ever. Amen" (Revelation 7:11-12).
Something beautiful happens when we
behold the glory of God and worship
Him. The more of His glory we see, the
more glorious we become; the more
we're beautified by His glory, and we
can't but glorify Him again. "But we all,
with open face beholding as in a glass
the glory of the Lord, are changed into
the same image from glory to glory,
even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2
Corinthians 3:18). Through worship,
our spiritual eyes are opened to behold
the glory of God. Incidentally, when we
see His glory, we see our glory.
That's why God tells us to worship
Him; it's so we can behold His glory
and be glorified. You can expect
miracles when you worship Him
because, then, your eyes are opened
to see what you'd never have seen any
other way. You forget about yourself
and focus on the only one who
matters.
Some people think angels know
everything about God, but that's not
true. According to Ephesians 3:10,
they're still trying to figure Him out.
"To the intent that now unto the
principalities and powers in heavenly
places might be known by the church
the manifold wisdom of God." You're
the glory of God, and He demonstrates
His manifold wisdom to angelic beings
through you!
CONFESSION:
I was born for the glory of God and my
life is glorified by His Word. Sickness,
disease, infirmity, and failure have no
place in me because, as He is, so am I
in this world!

PROPHESY YOUR VICTORY
...I cried by reason of mine affliction unto
the LORD, and he heard me; out of the
belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my
voice, For thou hadst cast me into the
deep, in the midst of the seas; and the
floods compassed me about: all thy
billows and thy waves passed over me.
Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet
I will look again toward thy holy temple.
Jonah 2:2-4
This is so inspiring! Imagine the content
of Jonah's prayer, despite being in such a
distressing situation: A great fish had
swallowed him up, after he disobeyed
God's instruction to go to Nineveh and
proclaim His Word. In the belly of the
fish, he refused to give up; instead, he
prophesied his victory. He declared, "I
will look again toward thy holy temple!"
This is a prophetic prayer, and it's
important for God's people to pray this
way, where you speak the will of God into
being by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
Observe further, Jonah's prophetic
utterances from the belly of the fish:
"They that observe lying vanities forsake
their own mercy. But I will sacrifice unto
thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will
pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of
the LORD" (Jonah 2:8-9).
You may read this and think, "Oh, well,
Jonah said this after he came out from
the fish's belly;" no. He spoke those
words while still in the belly of the fish.
He knew that looking at the
circumstances would make him forsake
the mercies of God. He had come to
realize that God is a deliverer and a
rescuer, so he refused to dwell on his
predicament. Therefore, while still in
trouble, Jonah began to thank God for
delivering him. He was a prophet of God
who understood the Word of God. He
knew that God calls things that be not as
though they were (Romans 4:17).
Don't ever be moved by the
unpleasantness of your present
circumstances; don't observe negative
symptoms of lack or ill-health; prophesy
your victory. Proclaim the Word. Begin to
worship God in the midst of any
seemingly hopeless situation you may
find yourself in. Declare that you have
overcome; thank Him for your deliverance
and victory.
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the Word of

Theme: Dwelling In Him Date:
Wednesday April 9th, 2014
Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in
all generations (Psalm 90:1).
In this day and age, when there's so much
trouble and crisis, with an overwhelming
spread of evil around the world, many are
thinking, "Is there hope? Does God still
protect; does He still care about us?"
First, as Christians, we're victors and not
victims; the Lord Jesus assured us that
though we may face crises and
tribulations in the world, in Him we have
peace, assurance, safety and security
(John 16:33).
When you study Psalm 91, you'd
understand God's divine plan for His
children in a tempestuous world. The first
verse is so inspiring, it says, "He that
dwelleth in the secret place of the most
High shall abide under the shadow of the
Almighty." Here, he's talking about your
location in the Spirit; your dwelling place:
you dwell in Him. Therefore, you're under
the shadow, that is, the cover or
protection, of the Almighty God.
It's important that you understand a little
more about "dwelling in the secret place
of the Most High." Where is the secret
place of the Most High? The next verse
(Psalm 91:2) captures this: "I will say of
the LORD, He is my refuge and my
fortress: my God; in him will I trust."
That means, He, the Lord, is that secret
place, because He is your refuge and your
fortress." Accordingly, dwelling in the
secret place of the most high means
dwelling in God!
Over in the New Testament, the Apostle
Paul, by the Spirit, tells us, "...if any man
be in Christ, he is a new creature..." (2
Corinthians 5:17). Notice the underlined
phrase, "in Christ," showing us that Christ
is that secret place; Christ is that dwelling
place. To be in Christ is to dwell in the
secret place of the most high. Christ is a
person-the Man Christ Jesus-but Christ is
also a place in God. Therefore, refuse to
fear. You're shielded from harm, evil and
destruction because you dwell in Him. In
Him you live, and move, and have your
being. "A thousand shall fall at thy side,
and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it
shall not come nigh thee" (Psalms 91:7).
PRAYER:
Dear Father, I thank you for the glorious
presence of your Spirit in and around me,
and the heavenly atmosphere of bliss and
victory that surrounds me. Thank you for
your divine presence that shields me from
harm, and protects me against evil and
violence, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

KNOWING THE TRUTH, AND HAVING
RELATIONSHIP WITH TRUTH
And ye shall know the truth, and the
truth shall make you free.
John 8:32
Jesus used the word "ginosko" for "know"
in the scripture above, making it clear to
us that the revelation knowledge of the
truth that you have is what makes you
free. However, revelation without
involvement or participation can lead to
frustration. 1 Timothy 4:3 talks about
those who "...believe and know the
truth." Then, we read in our opening
verse, "Ye shall know the truth and the
truth shall make you free." These two
portions of Scripture actually describe two
different groups of people.
John 8:32 talks about those who know
the truth and, as a result, have become
free. Whereas, in 1 Timothy 4:3 the
Apostle Paul is referring to those who
have gone beyond merely knowing the
truth and becoming free, to having a
higher revelation concerning the truth
that they've come to know. He uses the
Greek word "Epiginosko" for "know" in
that verse. This is knowledge that unites
the one who knows with what he knows.
The Apostle Paul's opening address to the
brethren at Colosse in Colossians 1:6
gives us a clearer picture. It talks about
the Gospel bringing forth fruit in them
since the day they heard of it, and
"...knew the grace of God in truth." That
word "knew," again, is "epiginosko"; it's
the kind of knowledge that unites the
knower and what he knows. It's
knowledge with involvement.
Here's where some folks have missed it,
and become frustrated, in spite of all that
they seem to know. They've been
Christians a long time, and can tell you
about all the various "revivals" and
"moves of the Spirit" that have taken
place since the history of the Church.
However, their lives don't show that they
know anything. Such folks need to have a
relationship with the truth; they need to
have revelation with involvement-a union
with the truth; that's what will produce
greater results in your life.
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for granting me
insights and understanding of your Word
which is truth. The more I know you, the
more I want to know and love you. Thank
you for the privilege of fellowship with
you; a fellowship that guarantees my
victory, success and prosperity every day
of my life, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Hebrews 10:17 - And their sins and
iniquities will I remember no more.
Beloved of God,
What do you with unwanted emails and
files? I delete them. Unfortunately, my
computer automatically archives them in
a folder called "recycle bin". There are
very sensitive and hurtful emails and files
I consciously enter the recycle bin to
delete permanently.
As it is with the computer hard-disk, it is
with the human heart-disk. There are
memories we need to permanently erase
from our recreated minds as children of
God. Salvation can simply be explained as
God deleting the accounts of our past
lives from heaven's records! Hebrews
8:12 - For I will be merciful to their
unrighteousness, and their sins and their
iniquities will I remember no more.
If God Almighty goes as far as deleting His
divine recycle bin, why do we keep visiting
the regrettable recycle bins of our hearts?
God has moved on, move on too!
Romans 4:7 - Saying, Blessed are they
whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose
sins are covered.
How terrible were you before you were
saved? What were your most hurtful
experiences in life? If you can remember
them, then, you need to delete your
recycle bin today!

1 Samuel 16:7 … for the LORD seeth not
as man seeth; for man looketh on the
outward appearance, but the LORD
looketh on the heart.
Beloved of God,
God called David a man after His heart
(Acts 13:22). The bible used the phrase
`and David's heart smote him' so many
times because David had trained his
human spirit to be in sync with the Spirit
of God and he was consumed by it (Psalm
119:139). He made so many mistakes,
but, he never let go of that most
important thing in his life – the Spirit of
God. He did not care about anything
(including his kingdom and its glory) more
than the Spirit of God which is able to
provide everything else! When David
sinned, his prayer was that God should
not take the Holy Spirit away from him –
(Psalm 51:11 - Cast me not away from
thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit
from me).
By contrast, King Saul was consumed by
his throne. Nothing mattered to him
more than keeping his throne for himself
and for his generation after him. When he
sinned and was reprimanded by Samuel
the Prophet, he was concerned more
about what people will think and begged
Samuel to walk with him to pretend that
all was well (Samuel 15:30 - Then he said,
I have sinned: yet honour me now, I pray
thee, before the elders of my people, and
before Israel, and turn again with me,
that I may worship the LORD thy God).
If only Saul had taken an advice from
Moses who made this profound
statement to God (- And he said unto him,
If thy presence go not with me, carry us
not up hence Exodus 33:15).
How did God see the heart of David and
the hat (crown) of Saul? 2 Samuel 3:1 -
Now there was long war between the
house of Saul and the house of David: but
David waxed stronger and stronger, and
the house of Saul waxed weaker and
weaker.
Where lies your secret? Your heart or
your hat? What do you think matters to
God? Your heart (developed human spirit)
or your hat (your blessings)?

REVELATION KNOWLEDGE VERSUS
SCIENTIFIC KNOWLEDGE
And to know the love of Christ, which
passeth knowledge, that ye might be
filled with all the fulness of God.
Ephesians 3:19
I want you to observe Apostle Paul's
choice of words carefully; he said, "And to
know the love of Christ which surpasses
knowledge." How can you know
something that surpasses knowledge?
What's he talking about? Here, he
distinguishes between two kinds of
knowledge: revelation knowledge and
scientific knowledge. The word translated
"know" above is "ginosko," which means
to have the understanding, or knowledge
by revelation.
For the other word translated
"knowledge," the Apostle Paul chose
another Greek word "gnosis," which is
knowledge based on science or
intellectual activity. This is knowledge that
is gained through the physical senses. It's
knowledge based on intellectual prowess.
However, the Bible shows the superiority
of "ginosko"-revelation knowledge-over
"gnosis," scientific knowledge.
Understanding the love of Christ is
beyond scientific or intellectual
knowledge; it requires "ginosko."
Intellectual knowledge doesn't tell the
significance of the Cross. This is the
reason the natural man can't understand
why Jesus had to be crucified, and what
His death, burial and resurrection mean
to the world. He may read about it, but
there's no revelation. Putting both
together, Paul could have said, "And to
ginosko the love of Christ which surpasses
gnosis"; that is, to have a revelation of
the love of Christ, which surpasses
scientific knowledge or intellectual
activity. This means knowing the love of
Christ beyond your senses and human
definitions, but according to revelation.
In science, there're no absolutes. All the
laws of science are based on theories and
assumptions. However, in revelation
knowledge there're no assumptions.
Science can't unveil to you the passion of
Jesus Christ, which He demonstrated on
the cross of Calvary. No matter the books
of this world that you study, you'll never
get to know the significance and
importance of the resurrection of Jesus
Christ. You may know about it, you may
even be able to describe what happened
to Him on the Cross, but you won't have
the understanding; that can only be
granted you by revelation of the Word of
God.
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for opening my
eyes to see that true knowledge can only
be found in your Word. By being born
again, I've been initiated into this
specialized knowledge that divinely
energizes and enables me to walk in your
fullness, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

PATIENCE: ENDURING HARDNESS WITH
HOPE
*PASTOR ANITA*
Thou therefore endure hardness, as a
good soldier of Jesus Christ (2 Timothy
2:3).
Patience is one of those virtues the Bible
admonishes us to add to our faith: “And
beside this, giving all diligence, add to
your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
And to knowledge temperance; and to
temperance patience; and to patience
godliness” (2 Peter 1:5-6). When you
study some of the translations of the
Bible, you’ll find different words
translated as patience.However, the best
synonym that describes patience in the
verse above “endurance”; the ability to
endure hardship with hope. This means
you’re able to face any opposition and
remain undaunted, knowing that there’s
only one outcome: victory for you!
Proverbs 24:10 admonishes us against
giving up or giving in, in the day of
adversity; rather, we’re to keep our heads
high up, declaring, “In all these things,
we’re more than conquerors.”
Maybe you’re at the beginning stages of
developing your faith, and things may be
looking tough and very challenging, have
confidence in the Word. Be patient and
give the Word time to work in your life
and in your circumstances. Endure. Stick
fast to what you believe!
That situation is for your testimony!
There’re people who don’t know how to
stick with what they believe. For
example, once they’re criticized for their
faith, they tend to be discouraged; that’s
wrong! Endure such criticisms, for they’re
designed for your promotion. Don’t hide
your Bible just because someone made
fun of you at work. Don’t stop winning
souls.Learn to endure hardship with
hope.
Patience without hope is useless. Be
hopeful of a better and brighter day
ahead; therefore, being a victor in Christ
Jesus, you create that picture in your
mind—a picture of victory.
PRAYER:
Dear Father, I thank you for the
extraordinary life you’ve given me in
Christ Jesus—a life of excellence,domi
nion and power! No contrary wind is
fierce enough to shift my gaze and faith
off your Word, for I know that I’m
destined to reign, win and excel,
irrespective, and independent, of negative
circumstances, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Something beautiful the Spirit of God

Knowledge, in our opening verse above, is
the Greek word “gnosis,”which is
knowledge based on science or

mental ingenuity. This is something we
need to be more conscious of as God’s

Spirit of knowledge; He knows all things.
Therefore, He can give you a word of

All you need is to make yourself available

Christ Jesus is the embodiment of all
wisdom and knowledge (Colossians 2:3),
and He made all things: the plants,
animals everything in the world
(Colossians 1:16). Therefore, He can
teach you about them. The world is
looking for solutions, and God wants His
kids to be the solution providers to the
world’s problems. He can give you a word
of knowledge about your career. The very
thought of this is exciting; that you can be
praying in your closet and receive a word
of knowledge that’ll be the solution the
world has been waiting for.
I’ve experienced things like this several
times, where I was able to explain natural
things through knowledge imparted to me
by the Spirit of God. You can receive a
word of knowledge from the Spirit of God
about your health, job, business,
academics and finances. You can receive
ideas from Him that’ll change your world.

There’s more in the sand than many

TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE POWER WITHIN
For it is God which worketh in you both
to will and to do of his good pleasure
(Philippians 2:13).
Ephesians 3:20 tells us that God, “…is
able to do exceeding abundantly above all
that we ask or think, according to the
power that worketh in us.” This means
He does what He plans to do in your life
through His power that’s at work in you.
He doesn’t want to work outside you, but
from within you. Imagine if you
functioned with this knowledge all
your life! Colossians 2:9-10 says, in Christ
dwells all the fullness of the Godhead
bodily,and we are complete
in Him. Imagine knowing this, and living
with the same consciousness every day;
what an extraordinary
difference it’ll make in your life!
It’s one thing to know you have
something, it’s another to know how to
use it. Some don’t even know they have
anything, and so they can’t even begin to
think of how to use it. The Apostle Paul
wrote the verses we read in the previous
paragraph. Read what he had to say about
himself: “I can do all things through Christ
which strengtheneth me” (Philippians
4:13). Notice, he didn’t say, “We can do
all things.” He was talking about himself;
this was his personal testimony. This
understanding imbued him with a
different mentality. He didn’t think in
terms of what he could or couldn’t do. He
said, “I can do all things….” Wow! Like
the Apostle Paul, you must be bold to
say, “I can do all things!” God wants you
to acknowledge that you’re sufficient in
His sufficiency;
His ability within you!
Again, in Colossians 1:29, the Apostle
Paul alludes to the inner working of God’s
power in him, saying, “Whereunto I also
labour, striving according to his working,
which worketh in me mightily.” The New
International Version reads, “To this end I
labor, struggling with all his energy, which
so powerfully
works in me.” He knew that the power of
God was at work in him, and he took full
advantage of it.
Acknowledge, and affirm, always that God
is at work in you. Take advantage of His
inherent power. in you.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for your mighty
power that’s at work in me; I declare that
I can do all things through Christ, because
I’m sufficient in His sufficiency. I function
by the might, wisdom, and excellence of
the Spirit today, in Jesus’s Name.
Amen.

But the path of the just is as the shining

the perfect day (Proverbs 4:18:
Amplified).
I love Christianity. It’s more than a
religion. It’s a practical and pragmatic
relationship between man and God. It’s
divinity in humanity. More than that, the
evidence of this relationship is
tangible. ...
Now when they saw the boldness of Peter
and John, and perceived that they were
unlearned and ignorant men, they
marvelled; and they took knowledge of
them, that they had been with Jesus (Acts
4:13).
It emboldens timid people. It sets
captives (both in mind and in body) free.
It liberates the poor from penury. It
makes the transcendent heavenly life
possible here on earth! Those that spend
time with and in the word of God become
what the word of God talks about. But
we all, with open face beholding as in a
glass the glory of the Lord, are changed
into the same image from glory to glory,
even as by the Spirit of the Lord (2
Corinthians 3:18).
Just like cutleries that are placed close to
a magnetic source take up magnetic
powers over time, there is a rob off of
God on those that spend time with Him!
Moses is a clear example. He was veiled
before people could successfully look at
him when he spent quality time in the
presence of God.
The benefits of spending time with God
and in His word can never be over
emphasised. That is the only sustainable
way to have good success in life!
This book of the law shall not depart out
of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate
therein day and night, that thou mayest
observe to do according to all that is
written therein: for then thou shalt make
thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt
have good success (Joshua 1:8).
Show me a man whose life shines
brighter and brighter, from glory to glory,
from one level of grace to another, and I
will show you a Christian who spends
time with the word of God.
Meditate upon these things; give thyself
wholly to them; that thy profiting may
appear to all (1Timothy 4:15).

carefully, top to bottom.
Two of the ship’s owners were there,
watching this man, hoping he would know
what to do. After looking things over, the
old man reached into his bag and pulled
out a small hammer. He gently tapped
something. Instantly, the engine lurched
into life. He carefully put his hammer
away. The engine was fixed!
A week later, the owners received a bill
from the old man for ten thousand dollars.
“What?” the owners exclaimed. “He hardly
did anything!” So they wrote the old man a
note saying, “Please send us an itemized
bill.”
The man sent a bill that read:
Tapping with a
hammer ............ ......... .... $ 2.00
Knowing where to
tap ............ ......... ....... $ 9998.00
Effort is important, but knowing where to
make an effort in your life makes all the
difference. Life is more complex than the
ship engine. Only the Holy Spirit of God
can give us specific insight into what to do
at all times. Make Him your best friend
today and live an error-free life!
Have a wisdom-filled day and remain
blessed!
