Hebrews 11:33 says, “Who through faith
subdued kingdoms, wrought
righteousness, obtained promises,
stopped the mouths of lions.”
Millions of people existed from the times
of Abel and Abraham until the days of the
apostles, but only few were mentioned in
the Hall of Faith in Hebrews 11. They all
had one thing in common: they
conquered life’s biggest challenges
through unwavering faith (the same faith
you and I have)!
A man without faith calls excuses
challenges. If you think you have
challenges, then go back and read the
stories of Abraham, Joseph, David, and
Apostle Paul to mention but a few. Many
people in Biblical times must have
conquered more than those challenges
you are facing, yet their names were
never mentioned in God’s Hall of Faith.
Faith is measured by the value of victory
it conquers. Remember that the greatest
bull-riders are the ones who stay the
longest on top of raging bulls! The
greatest oaks are the ones that withstand
the greatest storms. The best sailors are
the ones who train in the deadliest seas.
Olympic Gold medallists are those few
who continue after everyone else gives
up!
As Christians, our best qualities are
revealed when we pass through our
greatest trials in life! We should never be
afraid to ride the bulls of life. What is
keeping you from achieving your God-
inspired dreams? Are they truly challenges
or excuses?
