He's Your Father For Real - Saturday
March 15th, 2014 - Pastor Anita
Therefore take no thought, saying, What
shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or,
Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For
after all these things do the Gentiles
seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth
that ye have need of all these things
(Matthew 6:31-32).
How comforting, and what a blessing to
know that the Almighty God is truly your
heavenly Father. This should give you
extraordinary confidence and boldness to
win every day in life. Think about it:
you're the child of the Monarch of the
universe! Now that you're born again,
you've been baptized into Christ, and
awakened to the fatherhood of God.
In John 15:15 the Lord Jesus, prior to His
crucifixion, said to His disciples,
"Henceforth I call you not servants; for
the servant knoweth not what his lord
doeth: but I have called you friends; for
all things that I have heard of my Father I
have made known unto you." This
signified the kind of relationship He had
with them at the time; it was one of
friendship.
However, after He was raised from the
dead, He said to Mary, "....but go to my
brethren, and say unto them, I ascend
unto my Father, and your Father; and to
my God, and your God" (John 20:17). He
called them brethren; meaning they have
become His brothers, having the same
Father. A new relationship had been born
by virtue of His death and resurrection;
you now belong in God's family! You're
now a joint-heir with Christ. Hallelujah.
Observe again the inspiring teaching of
the Lord Jesus in our opening scripture.
He's saying, "Relax, be at peace, and be
full of joy! Refuse to fret over what you'll
eat or drink, what to wear, or where to
stay! I know everything you need, and
I've already made provision for you."
2 Peter 1:3 lets us know that our
heavenly Father has already given us
everything we need for life and godliness,
through the knowledge of Him that has
called us to glory and virtue. Refuse to
accept poverty, sickness or anything
negative in your life. Nothing is too good
for you; you're blessed beyond measure.
Be bold to lay hold of your prosperity,
health, success, and victory, for they are
legitimately yours in Christ.
Constantly meditate on the Word, and
it'll produce in you the right mindset, to
function as the true royalty that you are.
PRAYER:
Dear Father, I thank you for giving me
such an extraordinary life of victory,
success, and excellence. I'm prospering
and living in the manifestation of your
infinite blessings because I'm the King's
kid. I'm a joint-heir with Christ, therefore
I walk in the dominion and liberty of the
Spirit, enjoying the blessedness of my
heavenly Father, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
