FRIDAY, MARCH 14TH
"ASK AND RECEIVE!"
Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my
name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your
joy may be full.
John 16:24
Not only is the Lord able, He's equally
willing to grant any request you make of
Him. No wonder the Lord Jesus, with
excitement and assurance, said in Luke
11:9, "...Ask, and it shall be given you...."
God is a giver; He gives generously and
graciously to all without holding back
(James 1:5). He's more willing to give to
you, than you could ever be willing to
receive. He never considers anything too
good for you. He gives us richly all things
to enjoy (1 Timothy 6:17). How gracious
and loving He is!
Yours is to act on His Word! Ask in the
Name of Jesus, and receive. Luke 12:32
says, "Fear not, little flock; for it is your
Father's good pleasure to give you the
kingdom." It delights the Lord to bless
you and do you good. It's His joy to
answer your prayers and grant you your
heart's desires. This clearly shows that
the Lord is interested in your joy and
happiness. He doesn't want you to be sad
or depressed for any reason.
You may be facing a situation right now
that's limiting your joy: the Lord is saying
to you, "Ask and receive so that your joy
may be full." He wants your joy to be
complete. However, don't ask in unbelief;
don't ask doubting. Ask in faith. Faith
means what you asked for is yours NOW;
therefore, you take possession.
Don't stop at asking; Jesus didn't just say,
"Ask!" He said, "Ask and receive." The
word, "receive," is the Greek "lambano,"
which means to take possession of; to
take something and make it yours. For
example, if having been married, you've
desired to have a child; having prayed,
receive. Say, "In the Name of Jesus I
receive my child." Right after that, start
testifying. If you're asked, "Sister, is there
any sign at all?" Say, "I'm not waiting for
any sign; my baby is already inside me!"
Learn to give God praise for receiving in
your spirit what you've desired of Him.
When you receive from God, you must act
like it; that's why Jesus said, "Ask and
take it—(lambano)"; start acting like you
know it's done. If there's anything you
desire, put your faith to work today. Ask
the Father in the Name of Jesus, and
receive the answer!
CONFESSION
I'm walking in the glory of God! My life is
the testimony of His love, power,
greatness and grace; and in the Name of
Jesus, I am making progress, excelling,
and getting greater by the day. All things
are working together for my good, and I
rejoice exceedingly today knowing that
the Lord gives attention to my prayers, to
grant me my heart's desires. My joy
overflows today, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
