Thanks, toreybelle!

Her bedroom sounds cute.

Winx Club is a cartoon about a club made up of human sized fairies. There are Winx dolls and a Winx website.

For your granddaughter - I have heard a rumor that there is going to be a Winx Club movie coming out.

You see religon is for people who are afraid of going to hell: Where spirituality is for people who have already been there.smile

Joke -

So this guy dies and meets St. Pete at the pearly gates. St. Pete invites him in and shows him around heaven. As they're walking they come to a room with a bunch of people singing, dancing, and praying on the top of their lungs. The guys asks St. Pete who these people where and St. Pete says "oh those are baptists".

They come to another room where people are very serious, kneeling, standing and so on. The guy asks St. Pete who these people where and St. Pete says "oh those are the Catholics."

They come to another room and it's filled with smoke, people drinking coffee and generally having a good time. The guy asks St. Pete who these people are and St. Pete answers "I don't know and they won't tell us either."

Since this is the Religion Chat forum, I wanted to share these common symptoms of Religious Addiction:

* Inability or unwillingness to doubt, or question religious doctrine, teaching or authority
* View of controversial issues as "black-and-white", good or bad; inability to perform rational analysis without applying a perspective based on religious beliefs.
* Feelings of inferiority or inadequacy while comparing yourself to prominent religious figures
* Magical thinking that God will fix you/ do it all, without serious work on your part
* Rigid, obsessive adherence to rules, codes of ethics, or religious guidelines
* Uncompromising judgmental attitudes: readiness to find fault or evil in anything that does not agree with your interpretive views
* Compulsive or obsessive praying, going to church, revivals or crusades, quoting scriptures, frequent calling on God in everyday life
* Unrealistic financial contributions to religious organizations or charities
* Belief that sex is dirty, or that our bodies or physical pleasures are evil
* Compulsive overeating and/or excessive fasting; self-flagellation, excessive self-imposed "penitence"
* Overly critical and in conflict with and argumentative regarding science, medicine, and/or secular education
* Progressive detachment from reality; isolation and breakdown of relationships not affiliated with your religion.
* Psychosomatic illnesses (back pains, sleeplessness, headaches, hypertension) which abate after "prayer".
* Manipulating scripture or texts, feeling specially chosen, claiming to receive special messages from God and/or to possess a unique understanding of scripture
* Maintaining a religious "high", trance-like state, keeping a happy face (or the belief that one should...)
* Attitude of righteousness or superiority: "we believers versus the world," including the denial of one's human condition.
* Confusion, great doubts, mental, physical or emotional breakdown, frustration with those who do not share your beliefs.

These are only a few of the warning signs.
If you recognize any one of these behaviors in yourself, please seek help immediately.

Hi bud actually when it comes to a tweve step program it is more spiritual in nature than anything else. It is a God of our own individual understanding. You see religon is for people who are afraid of going to hell: Where spirituality is for people who have already been there.

Oh, I agree...I was just trying to do my part by offering some support. We all know what the first step in recovery is.

hello <<<<Mirror>>>>>

You still there? This is a forum for the disease of addiction, but I don't know how to respond to you. WE ALL enjoy sex. It's a very beautiful thing between two people. It's hard to live w/o it, but there are times in our lives that we are not w/ the proper person to be having that kind of rel. It's diff. perhaps for me, in that, I would not just go out to meet a guy, so that I could just have sex, and satisfy my desire. I believe in waiting for a rel. to be serious before I engage. It takes all kinds of willpower, believe me. But I'm not up for one night stands JUST TO GRATIFY my physical, sexual desire. IS IT BECAUSE I"M FEMALE???? DO guys think differently??? Help me out other guys!!!! I don't think so, but .... I don't really know too much about "MEN". Was married for 22 yrs. to ONE GUY!!!! Never had to do this dam dating thing. It's hard!!!!

I had a chemical addiction for quite a few years, maybe it was an addiction to the lifestyle of money, power, women. Only by the grace of God is my addiction in remission for almost four years now! Altho now I'm broke, my "friends" moved on (or are in prison), and the women went with em, I have a great life now and wouldnt want to go back to the old days for anything

Hi: I would like to talk about addiction be it alcoholic ao drugs.

I myself grew up in a aloholic home and by the age of 2 I was hospitalized because of a skipping rope beating from my mother who was a alcoholic, she died by the age of 58.

I stuck the first needle in my arm at age 15 and became alcoholic by the age of 19. I continued to do drugs and alcohol off and on til about a little over 2 months ago and this time I really want to continue with my sobriety.

The book says "that probably no human power could have relieved my alcoholism but God could and would if He were sought.

This is why for me there is a God because I have seen many miracles along the way. I ended up getting my social work degree and have worked in detox and before that I volunteered there cleaning rooms and socializing with other drunks.

So I would like to hear from anyone who wishes to post something with your views on this subject.

Thanks:smile:

amen my brotherflowerforyou

Good for you!!!!flowerforyou flowerforyou God's grace is awesome and unconditional. He's there if you'll open your heart and let him in to help you. My alcoholic friend who just got out of 5 months jail time and hasn't drank in 6mo. is going to go to church w/ me this a.m. He went all the while he was in jail and would write ea. wk repeating the great messages that he'd heard. God does give us the strength and endurance to get through even the tough times.

Society has constantly been taught that many things are bad. Not one uses or has an addiction that does not hate themself for bein weak. What if the purpose of life was that all become strong? Would not anything before it became strong, need to be weak, or the strong would abuse the weak when they are strong? Nothing we are addicted to we ask for! Not one human came here by the power of their own STRENGTH, did not ask to be born, to which parents we would be born to, how good looking we each would be (which so does attribute to each weakness) what things would be here when we got here, nor does one give themselves their own thoughts or weakness. Any that say addiction is voluntair self weakness dig for themselves a pit to fall into, to become strong themselves. SO WHO IS BAD OR WEAK, BUT ONLY EACH LEARNING WITH A UNIQUE WEAKNESS NEXT TO HIS NEIGHBOR THAT IS JUST THE SAME SINCE THE BEGINNING OF TIME. All are children of a higher level that schooling in the form of life achieve wisdom. Can one pour into a 5 year old the wisdom of a 60 year old without causing madness? So then any that see not that all life create wisdom let them first go to beyond death and return
with the power to make just one blade of grass and then I will listen to their great words of condemnation. Any addicted are destined to wisdom to rule in other ages and times and even in these times, and NO one addicted have any reason to be ashamed nor embarrassed or think themself to be weak, as life beyond death and even here now will prove they are rulers in training of uncondtional love and WISDOM! Tell something it is weak it shall be WEAK!!! So if any try to make many others think they are weak and mislead what be their wisdom? Why would one listen to another that is blind to their own weakness of ignorance? If anything can see how a bad is good the power of the bad over one is gone in about the time it takes to retrain the mind to do anything, a few weeks. So if any be addicted it becomes apparent it is only because the mind has been lying, and these lies are perpetuated by others that wish to esteem themselves to a higher place to feel better about themselves, so they to must feel weak themselves to need to feel bigger or better than others......one can only be controlled by something that the mind says is bad, and then bad will consume you as it then becomes alive by one first believeing it, then it hold power of us......smiles
