Have you not even been paying attention to modern science? It's recently been proposed and supported by observations that everything we know about this universe is less than 5% of what the universe is actually made of.

So where do you come up with your 99.999%?

It's more like, all scientific knowledge put together represents less than 5% of what the universe is actually made of. And we don't even understand that 5% very well.

So as far as I can see there's over 95% of the universe that we don't yet know or understand at all.

So I guess we differ in our views quite dramatically then.

I think it's sad that we ever considered sexuality shameful and sinful. Our bodies are amazing things, and to share our body with another should not be shameful of sinful. We created that insanity with religion from envy and fear.

Ask yourself why you choose to have sex with a person, that should tell you what you need to avoid. We often have sex for all the wrong reasons, to make up, to get something, etc. A tool of manipulation rather than an expression love or joy.

Who the hell are we to deny a segment of society the expression of love through sexuality. Actually I am sorry that you chose Christianity, I think you could have found a more spiritual path that would have honored you for who you are as you are.

Don't let anyone call you sinful or unrighteous, you will decide for yourself your reasons for sharing sex with another human being and if it's the right thing for 'you' at any given moment.

It drives me nuts to hear people suggest you give up that part of you to please their God, when they have no bloody clue what God thinks of sexuality, other than in a damn book written by men that had their own hangups with sexuality and fear and ego etc..

I don't know who the hell made you, but you are perfect. Your flaws are yours to determine and deal with, not mine to judge.

To me you are a human being capable of loving another human being regardless of what sex they are.
