Computer Clean Up Tips

thank you for buying computers and assuming that computer maintainance is automatic. I raise my glass to you. cheers. without people like you, I wouldn't have a paycheck. thanks eh? you talkin to me? lol I was simply stating that was the best for its purpose. I am well aware that it isnt automatic but then again actually if you know what youre doing it can be pretty much automatic with scripts n **** but anyway. Speaking of ur paycheck, mine is from the IT dept as well. ;) Anyway for general cleanup of temp files & registry cleaning use http://www.ccleaner.com/ for free spyware & adware removal, Ad-Aware 2008, Spybot - Search & Destroy are your best 2. Use them both. Its always better to use more than one adware/spyware removal & Avast or AVG are better than ur retail antivirus programs now if you really want to get technical & see what exactly starts when you boot up in windows or everything that is running then try Autoruns http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx this was actually the only thing I could use to end a rampant virus regeneration a couple years ago, I think it was the blaster virus strain but the remover wouldnt work so... i wasnt talking to you. and running scripts requires some sort of know how. my comment was for those people that buy a computer and just assume that it takes care of itself. then they notice that its running sluggish, or their default 90 day norton cant detect malicious code and cant fix because it hasnt been updated since the stone age. then they go on google at the last minute trying to fix the problem. but its too late. the virus has already infected. it was running on a restart script. and they restarted the computer because its a natural ignorant reaction to sluggish performance. so now on the restart, virus replicates and destroys everything! time to call the computer repairman. all because annoyance caused a child to turn off auto protect, auto update and firewall. he said the programs were lagging his world of warcraft. |

get linux!!!!!!!!
if im not mistaken, most virus creators use linux, and hate windows. these people create malicious files for the sole purpose of bringing down users of windows. linux for the most part is immune to most viruses. i am a data networking specialist. i.e im the guy that protects computers. one of my laptops is a pure linux box. the other laptop is windows vista. i have more problems on viruses with my vista laptop than i do with my linux laptop. linux rules. but you need to know how to use linux. plus its free. |

The title of the Pope in Rome is Vicarius Filii Dei [Latin for "Vicar of the Son of God"]. This is inscribed on his mitre; and if you take the letters of his title which represent Latin numerals (printed large) and add them together they come to 666.
But Our Sunday Visitor went on to point out that other people's names add up to 666 too. It even gave the example of "Ernest Reginald Hull," which also adds up to 666 if you alter his name a bit, making it read "Ernestus Reginaldus Hull." In a similar manner, some critics of Seventh-day Adventists claim that "Ellen Gould White" adds up to 666 when you take the "double U" to be a double V. Vicarius Filii Dei is a title that can be found in official documents of the Church of Rome. It appeared in the famous forgery, the Donation of Constantine, which was then incorporated into Canon Law. Gratian's Decretals, one such collection of Canon Law composed in the 1140's and in common use for about 800 years, quotes from this forgery the portion that states that just as Peter was vicarius Filii Dei, so also are the popes greater in power than earthly emperors, since they are Peter's successors.* A Catholic scholar named Lucius Ferraris wrote a reference work called Prompta Bibliotheca around the mid-eighteenth century, and it was reprinted a number of times through 1899. This work contained an article on the pope which included the title Vicarius Filii Dei. |
