I don't think any one would contest that the heavens and the earth were created by God. That is not an issue. The point is that they were not created "without form and void."

Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

There you have a plain statement. If God created the heavens, then there were suns, moons, galaxies, stars and all of that already. But the next verse says something different.

Gen 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

The earth was in darkness. No light could strike its surface. King James translators wrote: The earth was without form and void.

the words without form and void are tohu and bohu and mean chaos and confusion. God did not create the world in confusion. He is not the author of confusion (ICor 14:33). And,as Isaiah writes:

Isa 45:18 For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in VAIN he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.

The word vain here is the same one in Genesis. So God did not create the earth in vain, but Genesis says it was vain.

The word "was," is also important here. It could and should be translated "became."

Thus God created the heavens and the earth. There was a sun and there was light, but something happened. It was the war in heaven with Satan the devil. This war led to the destruction of the earth, and the world that was with its dinosaurs perished with them having food in their mouth. It just took seconds to wipe out the habitable earth.

By this war, the earth "became" chaotic and confused. After the war, God put things back in place, and made the earth inhabitable again.

Gen 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Jesus said not to judge others, but by that statement He meant not to condemn them. It must be understood that Jesus also said that we are to judge righteous judgment. Not to judge by appearances.

The prophets did judge the wicked deeds of the leaders of the nations. They told them where their false teachings and practices would lead.

In like manner, Jesus did too. He did judge the false practices of the religious leaders of His day. He did not condemn them. He executed no sentence on them--yet. But He will. Notice His words:

Mat 23:1 Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, Mat 23:2 Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: Mat 23:3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. So, Jesus set the example, and if people claim to be Christian, and yet worship other gods, keep other days than He did, and teach lies, don't you think they should be challenged?

Or, do you think it is best to just let everyone believe their own thing, and do their own thing so that Christianity continues to be mocked and ridiculed for its hypocrisy?

I think if we post our beliefs, we are in a sense advertising our view, in the interest of truth, we should be challenged on things.

By this definition, you can "feel" some sort of spiritual, but with no religion, you cannot define what that feeling of being spiritual is. It is an ethereal "feeling." It may make you feel good about yourself to say it. It may legitimatize your feelings about yourself and other ideas you have, but is is just your feelings. It really is meaningless beyond that.

So, by being spiritual and not religious, there really are no rules. There are no definitions. And, in fact there really is no spirituality.

If there is such a thing as spiritual, there must be a spirit. If there is a spirit then it must be able to be defined.

Further, just think. We all would like to find someone who has similar views to our own. We need that. However, once you find someone with similar views, you have defined something you both agree upon, and then you have a rule. You created your self a religion.

What a funny game we humans play with ourself.

I believe that mankind was created with an inner need to believe in something greater than himself. Thus, the phrase there are no atheists in a fox hole.

Of course there really are some, but the point is that when we are faced with death, we want to call out on a greater power. Further, there are mysteries to life and man searches for meaning and purpose, so it is natural for us to create religions.

That said, I think that there are two kinds of religion. There is man-made religion. The pagan religions are man made. They look to the creation and worship it. They think that God is in things like trees, air, rocks, seasons, and so on.

There is the modern day man made religion of being being "spiritual but not religious." This religious belief gives people the option of feeling spiritual without having any rules.

Atheism is a man made religion. They have faith in themselves and in what they decide to believe, but their religion is just a faith. It too is unprovable. You understand they face a creation with no creator. It is absurd, but they want to believe it so that they feel superior and have no rules telling them what is moral.

Some make science their religion, but ironically, science tells us there are laws that are unbreakable. These laws exist in the physical realm, the emotional realm and the psychological realm, but the worshipers of science refuse to admit that there are laws in the spiritual realm. Spiritually they dead end. They have no sense of purpose for the existence of the creation. They simply strive to understand how it works.

So, some of these are examples of man made religions. They all serve the purpose the people who create them and who believe in them want. However, I believe that there is also a God made religion.

I believe that God's religion is designed by Him for the benefit of His creation. He gave a list of the laws for worship of Him, and for our success in life. Those laws are just like the laws of physics. If you break them they will eventually break you. They never change. When we are in harmony with the laws of creation we can do anything. When we break them, we crash and burn.

So, in like manner, if you have other god's you fool yourself and never find the truth. If you worship various images, yourself, money or things like that, then you are in bondage to those things. They control you. If you take God's name in vain, you cheapen truth, what is right, and good. We lose the respect for that which is holy, and eventually what is noble in man. If we steal, lie, and commit adultery the society degenerates and as history shows incredible empires came to nothing because they failed to keep these laws.

So, God's religion was to help man know what He could only know by revelation. His religion reveals to man what he was created for. It was to give man guidelines for worship and living life successfully.

Of course, man took God's religion and used it for himself to enslave, persecute and control others. But--again--that is man's religion, not God's.

So, I believe that man creates religions to satisfy his needs and desire. And, I believe that God creates religion for unselfish reasons--to direct mankind to the way of life that works and leads to success physically as well as spiritually.

Most who condemn God's religion do so because because of what man has done to it.

Jesus did not experience everything we humans do. He did not experience what the crack addict does, and what the prostitute does. The Scripture states:

Heb 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

He was tested, or tempted in all points like we are. He did not experience everything we do. He did not experience a car crash, but experienced His body being torn apart. But, He was tempted in the same points we are tempted in.

What are those points?

There are three areas we are all tempted in. They are these three:

1Jo 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Christ was tempted in the categories of the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life.

We are all tempted in different ways through different experiences, but those temptations all fall into one of these three categories. His experiences also fell into these three areas of life.



Tradition has it that Joseph had died. This is the reason why Christ told the apostle John that Mary was now his mother at Christ's death. She had no husband. Christ understood being the sole provider as the first born. He understood being raised in a fatherless home. He experienced brothers that were jealous and antagonistic. You get the point. He was tested like we are, probably in more ways than we think, but not every exact single way we are.



Since Jesus was flesh, He did experience the powerful pulls on us like sex.



I believe that Christ was here for more than one reason.

1. He was here to learn what it like to be a human, and thus He said to the Father,

The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. Thus He is our advocate and High Priest now.

2. He was here to show us how God would live if He were a man. As Isaiah states, He would magnify the law and make it honorable. He personally said, thus they have "no cloak for this sin." That is men can no longer twist the law to suit their own advantage because of Christ's example.

By His example, we know how to obey God. Thus, He showed that the law was not for the sake of bondage like the Pharisees made it. The law was to free us from the painful backlash of sin. He healed on the Sabbath, and kept the law in it's true intent and purpose.

3, Christ said that He came to reveal the Father. No one knew of the Father. They had not seen Him or heard of Him. Christ as the Word was the God of the Old Testament. I Cor 10:1-6. Now we know of the Father. The veil in the heavenly temple is torn, and can pray to Him.

4. Christ was here to Die for us and take our sins on Himself.

5. He was also beaten beyond recognition. He did not have to do that for us to be saved. He was beaten for our healing. By His stripes we are healed.

6. Christ was here on earth as a human to show us how far God would go to show His love for mankind. By His example, we see that no person has ever loved us as much as He has.

7. He came to earth to fulfill the prophecies. Thus we can be assured that all the prophecies in the Bible will also be fulfilled exactly as stated.



He did not experience every single exact thing we do, but He experienced what we all experience in the three points of lust of the flesh, the eyes, and our pride. By this, He can understand our weakness, and can help us instead of condemning us.

"This suggests a complete lack of common sense and respect for our greatest heroes of the past," Barnett said.

Here is a different point of view.

I suggest that all the god's and goddesses are the same with one exception.

All of the gods and goddesses of this world come from one source. That source is the god of this world. He is noted in this verse.

Of course this is speaking of the devil. In another place, the apostle John records:

So, the Scriptures state that God's enemy, Satan actually is the god of this world. Further, He has deceived the world into worshiping him. Of course all the religions can be traced right back to him. All roads do lead right to him.

However, all roads do not lead back to the God of the Bible. He is unique and says that only He is God and that there is none else. In fact, He does not want people associating any other gods with Him. He does not want worship using ways of worship that other gods have been worshiped with. He does not want any other names applied to Him than His.

Isa 45:6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.

Deu 12:30 Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.

Exo 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. In Christ's day, it was considered inappropriate to talk about oneself personally when writing. Thus, when the apostle John speaks of himself, he says the disciple Jesus loved.

In that context, as a narrative it it absolutely normal for Matthew to say that that He constrained his disciples to get into a ship.

Many people think that the Bible is in opposition to Science. True believers would object to such thinking, realizing that the God of the Bible created all that science finds over time.

One example is the story in Genesis. Some professing Christians attempt to argue that the earth is only 6,000 years old to resolve the seeming conflict. Others state that the days of creation were millions of years long.

Is it possible that there is another explanation? What follows are some notes from a study I did on this many years ago. I believe what is not understood is that the earth existed long before man was created. The angels were given rule over the earth and, led by Lucifer, they waged war on God. The destruction that ensued erased all life on the planet and devestated the earth. Then when God created man, He made man in His image, and the animal kingdom after the image of the faithful angelic community--warm blooded and not reptilian.

Art says God cannot be defined by us and our thinking. The God of the Bible defines Himself. We just don't believe Him.

Because you do not believe in God, you do not believe in a devil. However, the devil was alive long before the creation of the earth, Job 37. The angels, and Lucifer shouted for joy at the world's creation.

However, we were a part of the plan before the earth was created.

Knowing the path man would take, Christ was as good as slain before that.

So, do you think that the angels did not know God's plan? Of course they did, and God's enemy knew it, and it was he who would cause these various counterfeit messiahs to occur. I mean, just think. It is weird that there would be so many especially considering the unusual nature of the sacrifice of Christ. Few people would dream up such a scenario on their own. It had to come from the one who knew the plan from the beginning. The devil made em do it.



Yes, according to Genesis and many other places in the Bible.

[1] In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Realize that God separated light from darkness and that was the first day, not the creation of the earth which took place at the same time as creation of the universe.

Consider --when was this beginning? It was long before man existed. There were billions of years before that. There were dinosaurs and Neanderthals. It was a hostile kill or be killed world, reptilian world.

Now consider the next verse:

[2] And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

This is not the way that the world was created. It was not without form and void in the beginning. The term "was" could and should be translated "became"

The terms without form and void are actually chaotic and confused in the Hebrew. For example, the term "vain" is tohu and it is the same word used in the verse below:

Isa 45:18 For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it NOT in VAIN he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.

Void is actually the Hebrew word meaning word “confused and God is not the author of Confusion I cor 14:33. Satan is.

So, God created the heavens and the earth for the purpose of being inhabited, but they both BECAME chaotic and confused. This was the result of sin.

This took place during the war in heaven when everything was destroyed on the earth. This is why the great beasts are found with food still in their mouth. It is why the moons of Saturn are crushed to dust. It is why asteroids and meteors are still flying around space.

Thus, the earth had existed for millions of years before man as we know man. The angels inhabited the earth and they left their first estate, which was the earth,

Jud 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

There was war in heaven. As Jesus said, He saw Satan fall like lightening. Where did Satan fall to? He fell to the earth where he was originally.

That is why Satan was there in the garden. He fell back to the earth. The earth was his before Man was on it. He was always the ruler of this world. That is why he could offer the kingdoms of this world to Jesus at the temptation. That is why when Christ died on the Cross, He said, now is the prince of this world cast out. Christ had qualified to replace the ruler of this earth, but would not cast Satan out of this world until His return.

Back to Genesis, now God comes to the earth that already exists, and He begins to clear away the rubble, so that light can shine through.

This making of day and night was the first day, not all that occurred before it.

[3] And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
[4] And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
[5] And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.



Yes, it is still without form, but it was not made without form and void. It became that way as a result of sin.

The bible uses symbolism from time to time, but the symbolism is always the same. The symbols always have the same meaning—stars are angels, leaven is sin and pride, mountains are large governments, hills smaller ones and so on. So where is there symbolism in this account? There is no symbolism indicated here at all. There is the simple definition of evening and morning. We are told they are a day. There are descriptions of specific kinds of animals, and so on. It is all specific and not symbol at all.

Gen 1:11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
Gen 1:12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. Gen 1:13 And the evening and the morning were the third day. Gen 1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: Gen 1:15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. So, you see that these had to be single 24 hour days for the plants that were created to exist until the creatures needed to pollinate them were created.

Certainly the Sabbath was a 24 hour creation. It was the seventh day, and it was only evening and morning. God did not rest for millions of years.

This is so ironic. Your beliefs are made up on the mind of men. It is what ever you think! The beliefs found in the Bible are from a true God. For example, Greek Mythology has no prophecies that have come true. They have no moral basis like the Scriptures. Those are gods made in the image of man. They act like men. The God of the Bible does not act like men. His thoughts are higher than ours.

The Bible has a history that can and has been validated. At first the critics thought there was no writing in Egypt, then they found the writing on the Rosetta stone. Then they said that there was no Nineveh. It was mythological. Then Opps! They found Nineveh. Then, Abraham was a myth. Again, they found tablets in Ebla with his name and others on it. One man took at robotic camera into the sea of Aqaba and caught photos of encrusted chariot wheels.

Where is there evidence that you have that there is no God? The God of the Bible challenges us to prove Him, not take Him on faith. The God of the Bible makes contact with us and we can have a personal relationship with Him. In the pages of the Bible, there are over 300 prophesies of Christ alone. There are many others about different nations. God foretold the future of ancient Tyre and Sidon. He foretold how the Persians would take Babylon by going through the flood gates. God even foretold the name of King Cyrus who would let the people go after their 70 years of captivity. God revealed to Daniel when the Messiah would come, and Israel knew He was due and were looking for Him in either John the Baptist or Christ. The God of the Bible foretold of Israel going into captivity and being taken out of Egypt exactly at the time He said. Further, the entire exodus scenario was written for the church at the end, to encourage them to understand that they would be taken out of this evil world by a resurrection after the trumpet plagues of Rev 8.... Yes, you can mock and think your gods are as good as any. Those gods did not say any thing like the Bible, and certainly not this:

Isa 46:8 Remember this, and shew yourselves men: bring it again to mind, O ye transgressors. Isa 46:9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Isa 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

As this verse shows, God is not omniscient. He does not know what will happen in the future. Instead, He tells you what will happen, and then He MAKES IT HAPPEN. That is different than any of the gods you speak of. He has made what He said would happen come to pass. We men can’t do that. We are hit and miss.



But you think your beliefs are better, and they are the beliefs of men. They are your beliefs. It is just your theory, with little real evidence. .



Well what proves divinity? I can’t prove anything to you. You are too invested in your beliefs. If God came to you and showed that He was real, you would argue it was a dream or something. There is no proof you will accept.

Consider that when God says to prove Him, He means to live His way and see if it does not produce blessings. Are you willing to do that? No. You don't really want any proof.

When it comes to Paul's admonition, He says to prove all things. You are not willing to do that. You have no proof that there is no God. We offer you that creation is proof of a creator. That laws that you cannot break are proof of a supreme law giver. You can object to this all you want, but think my friend, if you do, you object to the plain obvious truth. You make yourself look foolish in reality. You did not create these things. Something greater than you did. But you refuse to think there is anything greater than you. So, there is no real personal God—but it is only in your mind.

So, there is evidence. It is actually proof enough that there is a Creator and He is smarter and more powerful than you. I recommend that you accept it and get over it.



Actually the proofs of the Bible are world renowned. They are there for anyone who is open to see them. You won’t see them even if I show them to you. But, I will give evidence.

How about a few off the top of my head?

1. No one believes in the Greek Gods. Billions believe in Jesus and the Bible.

2. God told man things long before science could ever have known them
the earth is round
It is hung on nothing
Eating swine and shell fish is dangerous
Wash after touching anything dead
bury your excrement
Don't overcrowd yourself in cities

3. Those who claimed to be eyewitness died for their beliefs in Jesus Christ. They would not if it were made up by them.

4. The Biblical history tells the truth to the point that it openly shows the weaknesses of its own heroes, and that testimony supports the reality of Christ, the acts of the church & its miracles

5. Secular history supports that Jesus existed, did miracles, lived a good life and died by crucifixion.

6. Over 300 fulfilled prophecy supports the fact that the Bible is true

7. My own personal relationship with Christ, and miracles I have witnessed show it.

8. Answers to prayer show it.

9. How about the popularity and continued existence of a book that has had repeated attempts to stamp it out?

10. Almost all ancient civilizations have some sort of flood account.

All of the above confirms the Bible. But—don't panic though, you can still refuse to believe. You can continue to believe you are smarter and better than the God of the Bible. By the way, where is your proof of you being smarter and better than that God? I don’t see it.



How did you ever get to this conclusion? Clearly? Where is the clarity you who wants all this proof. How do you know that the world was imperfect before man? Were you there or something? I am either missing this one big time, or you are just making this up out of thin air because you want it to be true so bad.

After God recreated the world some time after the great war, He created man. It was a perfect world until man made the choice that you are making today. That is to choose for himself what is right and wrong. This is the tragedy of your kind of thinking. You believe that without the influence of God in the Patriarchs, the history and teaching of the Bible, we can make our own moral choices. But, the truth is that we don't have that moral compass in us to know right from wrong. Certainly even your posts prove that. We all want to be our own god.

You may think that because you believe the world was imperfect before man, that the Bible should be put in the shelf marked fiction, but your view is the fiction. And, you and others like you will press it, and press it, until you win. You can tell a lie enough times and people will begin to believe it. We as a people will push God out of our nation. God is not omiscient. He is not all knowing. Thus, he said to Abraham when he was willing to offer up his son, "Now I know."

God always does what is in the best interests of all concerned, but that does not mean that He always does things are are benevolent. He punishes the wicked.

Isa 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: (calamity) I the LORD do all these things.

God is not all powerful. He has given us free will. Therefore, by choice, He does not have the power to force us to do His will. It is our choice to follow Him, not His.

The point I make is that the opponents of the Bible do not know the Bible. Why even listen to them?

But, in answer to your comment, where exactly does the Bible not fit? It really is the other religious systems that don't fit. For the Atheist it is a creation without a creator. For the Buddhist, it might be chanting to change the world. But words don't change the world, actions change the world. For the Hindu it is a belief that we are reincarnated, and must keep coming back until we get it right. But, then the world never gets better. No one is learning the lesson, and the population keeps growing it is not static like it would have to be in their scenario. The pagans and witches worship gods that don't really exist, and they think that god is in every rock and tree. Wow! the rock wears away in the stream, and god becomes minerals in the water. The tree dies, and God becomes fertilizer. It is nuts.

You get my point. These religions are goofy. They don't make sense. They are the ones that don't fit. The Bible tells us the way that works. Like for example, work hard, don't be lazy. Discipline your children, so later they can discipline themselves. It tells us to keep the ten commandments, don't commit adultery, lie, steal or murder. It tells us to respect our parents. It tells us not to worship these other gods. To me, it really is good advice.

Yes, and when the astronomers found the lingering noise of the big bang, and when they calculated to see if it could be an expanding or contracting universe, they found it is only expanding. Thus they crawled over the mountain of ignorance and as they get closer to the top, science found that there was a beginning--a creator.



But in this view, you are treating nothing as if it is something when it really is not. There is matter, light, electrons, and quarks that are material and measurable. These things are real and they exist. Take them away, and there is nothing. The matter was created and now fills the space where there once was nothing.

The nothing that exists between all these things has no reality. It is nothing. It is the absence of something. It is like space. There are planets, and suns and asteroids, and moons, and all that stuff that exists, but they are something. The emptiness, the space that is between them is absence of anything.



This cannot be true. The truth is that everything is subject to entropy. Everything is winding down. All energy moves from a point of high intensity to low intensity. Thus, if you put a pot of steaming water on the counter, it will become the same temperature as the room. This is also true of the universe. It is winding down. The suns in all the galaxies will eventually burn out. Nothing is winding things up again.



This is your god. Certainly it is a controllable god. It is not a being. Does not think, does not love or hate. Your god is a nothing until somehow it is able to manifest itself into our physical world. And you think that this is the better view of God? Well sure it is to you. Your god has no power. It is just a nice thought in your head.

But, I ask you to think real thoughts. What about when the world no longer exists. There is coming a time when our sun burns out, and when it does, it will take the rest of the planets with it. Your god will not be able to manifest itself anymore. It will cease to exist. But, then, I guess it doesn't matter to you because your god is only one of your personal choice, designed to fit your needs for now.

Regarding the book, it was not written to control men, but to enlighten them in the way that they should live successful lives. The purpose of the book is to prevent pollution, wars, disease, and famine, divorce, teenage gangs, violence in our cities, and all the rest of the terrible stuff you see on Fox News and don't like about our life today.

Then, discussing the appearance of matter, you agree that science has no clue. But, ironically, the Bible that you put down, actually does have a clue. It clearly says that matter was not created out of nothing. Matter was created out of invisible spirit:

Heb 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

God changed spirit to matter in an explosion so great that it sent entire galaxies spinning into space at millions of miles per hour.

The values and standards of the Bible are there to free us. There are immutable laws that govern our universe. When we break laws, physical, emotional, or spiritual, there is a consequence. The Bible is written to show the history of those who did not keep its values. It is to show us the way that works without causing suffering to others and ourselves.

But, if you really want to keep lying, stealing, dishonoring your parents, hating others, hurting them, and committing any sex acts you want, of course the Bible is a problem.

That nasty old Bible is dumbing you down. It is bringing you back to reality, and making real common sense that puts our nonsense into an embarrassing perspective. We want to think that we can do what we want and there are no consequences. Man! Look around at the world that we have created by not following God.

Maybe someday, we will give Him a chance, and actually try His way and see what happens.

We are all hypocrites. None of us live up to the standards we set for ourselves. Further, I believe that there is incredible hypocrisy among atheists. They contradict themselves, they make up scenarios to fit their beliefs. They manipulate history, and write entire books to discredit the Bible. But, they are driven, just like the professing Christian community to find reasons to justify what they believe, not necessarily to find out the truth.

Speaking of finding the truth, regarding people seeing their own hypocrisy. Our human nature blocks it. It is the defense mechanism. You do it, I do it, and we all do it.

Thus, "professing Christians" will NOT accept the Sabbath. They actually worship according to the ancient mystery religions. They don't know this, but if you tell them, they will become defensive and fight against it without really knowing. But, you can ask any knowledgeable witch. They will tell you that the professing Christian community worships their gods.



We all need that mirror, but we don't always want to look at it. I hope you understand that I do judge myself by my beliefs. I don't judge (condemn) others. However, they do judge us. You judge us. For example, you call us names like Hypocrites. You think you are superior because of their hypocrisy and don't see your own. You wanted this post to teach them the lesson you want them to learn.

Isn't this fun irony?



Does this mean that those who profess to believe in the Bible have no right to say that they believe homosexuality is wrong? Does it mean that they have no right to say that they believe abortion is wrong? Do they have no right to say and teach what they believe is true and right and good?

What would you do to a prophet of God for teaching the truth and condemning our society for its injustice, and lack of morality?
Does the prophet have no rights in our country any longer? I say this, because I believe that it is thinking like yours that will lead us to this exact spot. It is already a hate crime to quote certain parts of the Bible in Canada. Eventually, they will jail us for speaking what we believe to be true. It will be thinking like yours that causes this.

So, I think you have every right to profess that there is no God. But, I have a right to profess that there is. Further, while I think there is no evidence that God does not exist. You cannot prove that. I do have the evidence that He exists.

The fact of entropy and that everything is winding down requires something or someone to have wound it up.
The creation requires a creator
The perfect design of our universe requires a designer
Laws require a law giver
Life only comes from other life, there must be a life giver
There is fulfilled prophecy
There is answered prayer

So, it is not like we offer a belief in the God without some reason for such belief. That is no hypocrisy.



Yes, I agree, they are unraveling what they believe they must preach to the world. And, ironically, they are doing that by the fact that they don't live what they preach. Sad, for me, but true.

It is reaching critical mass too. The Christian community is becoming a laughing stock on TV and movies. They are always pictured as kooks, and weirdos. Bill Mayer (sp?) is an example of where all this is leading.



Yes, it would be so wonderful if we actually lived by what the book says, and had a tradition of sincerely living it. I believe that it would be so attractive that the vast majority of people would willingly seek to be a part of it.

After giving the commandments, God said:

Deu 5:29 O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!

It would be better than any of us could ever imagine.

However, in the scriptures, God says He will return at the end of a certain time, and then He will set up His kingdom on earth, headquartered at Jerusalem. As word of that Kingdom spreads, people will desire to be a part of it. As Zechariah writes about that future time:

Zec 8:21 And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts: I will go also. Zec 8:22 Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the LORD. Zec 8:23 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.

This future time is my hope for mankind.

As an aside, everyone is posting here, and no one on my Sabbath thread. It is disappointing to me. But, trust me, people, especially professing Christians, don't want to hear about what God actually says.

I would recommend it though. Try it someday, to read the Scriptures for what they say, and not what others teach that they say. It is eye opening.
