Topic: It saddens me... | |

In here we have people who ask questions about God or Jesus...
Most of the time we get horrible arguements going on in here. Pretty much all of us- has our own opinions. We all want to be right. Yet no answers- for those that seek them. It saddens me when one calls themself a Christain- but then does not behave as a Christain themself. What is Christianity: A belief in Christ, a follower of Christ. Should we not conduct behavior of a Christain? What type of example do we lead... When we fight or push? Wheres the Love? Live in Love... Show your life to be an example of this Love... I do not judge people, if you want to believe in something, more power to ya'. I just need something more believable to convince me than faith.

Christians are people too. I have learned a lot from this lesson taught by Jesus.
Luke 18:9-14 And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. What good is served by complaining about other Christians? What good is served by questioning their dedication to Christianity? Wouldn't it be better to directly address Christians in private with whom you disagree, instead of airing your complaints publically? Jesus seemed to think so. |

Yet no answers- for those that seek them. That which you seek and do not find within you surely will not find without. |

Judge not lest ye be judged...is that not what the Bible says? Well ive gotten used to the fact that people judge when i have not judged them. Beliefe shouldnt be a Sin.... Jesus said not to judge others, but by that statement He meant not to condemn them. It must be understood that Jesus also said that we are to judge righteous judgment. Not to judge by appearances. The prophets did judge the wicked deeds of the leaders of the nations. They told them where their false teachings and practices would lead. In like manner, Jesus did too. He did judge the false practices of the religious leaders of His day. He did not condemn them. He executed no sentence on them--yet. But He will. Notice His words: Mat 23:1 Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, Mat 23:2 Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: Mat 23:3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. Mat 23:4 For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. Mat 23:5 But all their works they do for to be seen of men: Mat 23:13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. Mat 23:14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation. Mat 23:15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves. Mat 23:16 Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor! Mat 23:17 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold? Mat 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. Mat 23:24 Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. Mat 23:25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. Mat 23:26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also. Mat 23:27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. Mat 23:28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. So, Jesus set the example, and if people claim to be Christian, and yet worship other gods, keep other days than He did, and teach lies, don't you think they should be challenged? Or, do you think it is best to just let everyone believe their own thing, and do their own thing so that Christianity continues to be mocked and ridiculed for its hypocrisy? I think if we post our beliefs, we are in a sense advertising our view, in the interest of truth, we should be challenged on things. Art |
