Rise and Shine - part 14

Got the car unfroze from the driveway and turned around right. Now just waiting for the snow and ice to melt so I can get out.

Yesterday, I used a mop to knock off the snow and ice off the car. Today, I dug with a snow shovel around the tires as the car was froze to the ground. I got the car turned around because it is a front wheel drive. So the car is pointed out towards the road. The grader took away the snow but left the ice underneath. I can concur with your frustrations. Hoping this 40 degree weather will go up so more will melt away.

I am glad I took the old mop and knocked a lot of snow off the car this morning. It has warmed up and the stuff has almost melted away now.

We got snow over ice. It has sleeted all yesterday. I tried keeping the heater off in the man-cave but finally I relented. I am glad I am off Sunday and Monday. It was just starting to come down with the sleet as just a couple of hours before I got off 7 AM Sunday morning. I still prefer working third shift to day or evening shift. We finally got the dog to go out for a little bit. She came back with snow on her nose. Its a cold morning.

They say we won't probably get snow but ice, tomorrow, Carol. I will be glad to see the electric bills go down from trying to stay warm. Just glad I am able to pay them.

My roommate's grand daughter I know is very special to her. They spent three hours together making this chocolate house. But the fun part was eating it, too for me.

I have to agree with the attitude adjustment. Volunteer work I have found is a great cure for this. It is like starting out at a new job and some supervisor tells you to see a certain person to ask them what is there for you to help with. Usually I find it is me keeping myself away the rest of the world instead of vice-verso.

The temperature is really wonderful in the Ozarks. It is like in the late forties now.

It took a long while but got my grand daughter's new cell phone number. Very fragile connection and I really had to work for it. She is 12 and she gave me specific times I could call because she has school. She is like so mature.

If nothing else it can sometimes get rid of that 'jaded' feeling.

You will find not all of it is negative. Even some of the break ups from some can be positive. Like one said one wanted more. I can concur with that. It shouldn't always be assumed that 'benefits' is always sexual, either. From my last encounter I really found out a lot about myself. I do miss her much and I guess like someone else said I was more into her than her into me. If it wasn't for her alcohol problem I think we could have made it worked. Seems like there can always be a catch, sometimes.

So its okay to wrestle her for a date? And if she loses then she has to go out with you? Hmmm. This might be interesting. But what if she takes it the wrong way and calls the cops? Is all really fair in love and war? Or are you saying that maybe you can't always think in terms of being fair when it comes to love?

Older or younger?
|

I was wondering for those who have dated someone much younger if they found they viewed things like they did when they were the much youngsters age or have thought that they have actually matured along those lines since then. I thought in some ways that the youngster was still more mature than me. But then at other times she said it came off as a lecture like she got from her dad. She did say that I reminded her so much of her dad and that she was into older guys. If nothing else the experience was not wasted because her dad and her are much closer not that she didn't already still have the utmost respect for her dad.
