Restringing Vernier Drives

I have an old Audiologic by Randix radio with twin cassettes that I bought at a yard sale for two bucks. So far I have dislodged four muddobbers' nests inside; Put another antenna on it and Glued the tuning knob back on. Then I found out that that the vernier drive string doesn't want to work right. I was just wondering if there was anyone who has tried to restring a vernier drive?

Yup. Sole mates are much easier to find than soul mates. Dad sure left imprints on both cheeks with his combat boots when I was growing up.

I pray that you can get some restful sleep. Sassafras root made into tea sure helps me sleep. Sometimes too many choices can be as bad as not enough.

You understand the misconceptions, I see.
Speaking of patients one of our residents has been told so often to be patient that she has almost been turned into a parrot. She will is cognisant of this and starts out her requests with, "Be patient". Of course, I will respond with, "Well, If you get tired of be patient you can be resident." So far the conversation is lost on her. |
Something we often agree on between co-workers is, "If you are not crazy when you get here you will be before you leave."
Like one under my care was told that she was under a doctor's orders not to have coffee. I explain this to her and she replied, "Oh, I don't like that doctor, any way."
We often take a sanity check with other co-workers to see if it is just us. |

You really got to love the work and have a sense of humour to make it. The caring profession is the life for me. |
In the medical profession we often have misleading communications between co-workers. Like this morning the nurse said she was going to the ER for woman troubles. I said, "Oh, I have had those." She answered with, "What?"
Or here is another one. When taking care of the female residents I will get residents who say they prefer women. Of course, I say, "I do, too." I was wondering if others have encountered these type of communications in their line of work. |
