It took a long while but got my grand daughter's new cell phone number. Very fragile connection and I really had to work for it. She is 12 and she gave me specific times I could call because she has school. She is like so mature.

Talking to Grands is always fun but a bit challenging.

It is a lot easier for me to Skype with mine. Seeing their non verbal communication is really helpful. And it is free download from Google.
We sometimes actually do homework over the Skype. God help me when they get in the higher grades.

I also tend to send mine clippings I think will interest them from magazines and the news paper. My youngest grandson is way interested in Grandma's oldies but goodies so sending music downloads and Pokemon cards makes Grandma cool. lol They do tell you when they want to talk lol Give it time kids like to be listen to and they will call more as they know you are not going to bust on them.

My roommate'��s grand daughter I know is very special to her. They spent three hours together making this chocolate house. But the fun part was eating it, too for me.

I am so happy to be having my grandson living with me right now, It brings me so much joy to watch him grow and play , such a character and so smart for his age he's 2 and acts like hes 6 , he's so polite , his mother and father teach him well and he knows hes loved by all.
