I like chatting with my friends and writing poetry. I work third shift at the local nursing home. I like living in the country and have most of my life. I have two associate degrees in computer technology - one in repair and the other in networking. I go to AA and NA because I am still sick. I have even been clean and sober since 11/11/1983. I like the lifestyle. I have been caught walking into a church this year. Lately, I have found a new hobby which is repairing this old van. The old van, a 1986 Chrysler Dodge Caravan has the fake wooden sides panels and a 4 cylinder engine. I bought the old van for $500.00 and so far have spent over $2000.00 in parts and labor on it. The church I go to sometimes is called Jesus Christ Tabernacle Lighthouse and is about a half mile up the road. I helped the pastor when the church was being made bigger and it is more modern now. I am nondenominational but have been to a lot of different churches. Lately, I have been working on a new room for the house. It is a 12 foot by 22 foot add-on which become my new bedroom. I am adding a small bathroom and a nice long shelf to work on old computers. I like fixing them up. I just made five years at the nursing home. My boarder says she will be moving out when she gets her pay. I am looking forward to being alone. That alone is amazing for me. It is okay to be alone. :) I am just about to give up on the old van. So I bought a truck that is two years older. Its a 1984 Dodge Ram Prospector with the 318 V8. Update: I might be able to get $250 from the crusher if I can haul it in. Of course, I will keep the battery. What a deal. :) I kept the battery, plates and the radio. I now have a 2000 Dodge van, 1997 Saturn and am selling the 1984 Dodge truck.
I have been a the nursing home 8 years now. We got bought out and the new owners gave me a raise. We got benefits now the place is a lot better to work for. It is so cool that we benefits now that the place is no longer non-profit. :)
My ex told me once that it wasn't always about me. At first that made me mad but after being in the caring business I can see that is so true. Sometimes I wonder if it has anything to do with me. :)
