How do you deal with a control freak? Set clear boundaries and don't back down when they try to push it. You're in for a long, annoying battle of wills, though. They'll continue trying to control you for quite a while afterwards. You'll have to be very firm on what you won't put up with. (I don't know if that was a rhetorical question or if you had someone in mind....)Are they worth the effort? Think they'll reform a bit for you? Or would it be better to just move on?

So I keep getting this add on here coming up for Gay Bear Dating. My question is, who on here wants to date a gay bear?

How would you stop yourself from appearing needy?
Needy behavior...I'd have to say they're acting needy when they're so wrapped up in you that they don't have a life of their own. Making huge demands on your time with tons of phone calls and wanting to be together every minute. Wanting reassurance that you still love them everytime you're in a bad mood, etc. If I think I'm starting to act needy, I take a break from them and go do something else. Play cards with a friend I haven't seen in a while, visit relatives, etc. Pretty much just try to take my mind off of them and get centered again. |
