i can't imagine being anything but pleased if a freind just dropped in; male of female. i'm just not understanding this discussion at all. and why all the worry over a clean house? if it's normally clean anyway then great, you can show off all your hard work and if it's normally lived in messy like mine and most people's then that friend will know you for who you are. or do you want that call beforehand so you can have time to be something that you really ain't?

ah, yet another grossly overgeneralized whining of that age old question, "why do women seek out the bad boys and we nice guys never get laid?" scuze me, breakfast is commin' back up.

I absolutely refuse to date men who are NOT in my country and are NOT citizens of my country. I get all these men hallucinating they will move to my condo in CA and marry me to get their citizenship. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO not going to happen. Does anyone else get this? Do you give these guys from other countries a chance?

i cannot fathom eliminating more than three billion women on this planet simply because they are not u.s. citizens. yeah, too picky for my taste.

I think it's pretty obvious that Christianity causes a lot of people to have sexual hang-ups and associate sexual desires with being "sinful", especially if they know full-well that they aren't having sex with the intent or purpose to procreate.

And lot of Christians (especially fundamentalists) preach that sex for pleasure (i.e. without the intent of procreation) is a sin.

This would place any Christian couple in an extremely difficult place should either one of them become diagnoses ad being "sterile". Then they only reason they could have sex at that point would indeed be for the pleasure of physical intimacy which is forbidden.

Also, the "light-outs" thing is probably related to shame as well. They are trying to remove themselves from act as much as possible. (i.e. at least they can't see what they are doing) laugh

They can always claim on judgment day, "Gee whiz Jesus, it was dark and we couldn't see what was going on. We had sex by accident! Honest!"

laugh

Says who? The ONLY "rule/law" pertaining to sex and married people is that they must first be married to have sex. God has told married couples to enjoy each other.

1 Corinthians 7:2-4

2Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.

3Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.

4The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.

says who? less than a third of the world's population even owns a bible.

the "u" in "ufo" is for "unidentified" meaning no clue what it is INCLUDING an object from anywhere.

alot of crap about reward in the afterlife, who does what and why but the religious, atheists and agnostics (yes, i do feel left out here) quite often are charitable just because they want to help somebody out. and my guess would be in roughly equal numbers. silly to argue over what motivates charity for crying out loud. something good happens and we're arguing why it happened?

Hi. Sorry for lack of picture I have computer problem, will put up pic asap. I was raised the old fashioned way but i am also a Gemini, I mention this because every man is different, I'm a romantic so if I see a woman I fancy I will try and make eye contact and if I'm not rebuffed I will try and make a move. How ever there has been times (best ones) when I have seen a woman that I find so attractive I cant help myself and find myself coming out with stuff I didn't think I was capable of. Its beautiful when it goes that way, its almost as if your whole being is on your side, I've even guessed a woman's favourite biscuit and got a date because of it. What's even more remarkable is that I consider myself a shy person. So to summarise beauty is in the eye of the beholder and if the beholder desires you enough they will move a mountain to get to you.

:) Yes! This! I think this is what I'm trying to get at. I feel like if a man really wants something, he'll go after it. Not wait for it to go after him. You never know until you try and neither will the girl your eying from across the room. :P

don't know about the other guys here but my experience has been that when i initiate a message to a lady here it's rare to get a reply and when i do it's along the lines of "good luck in your search." i understand that attractive women here, especially in my age group, have no shortage of male online callers, even younger ones, and it must be tough to answer every reply but it is frustrating nonetheless.

since retiring i've lived and traveled the country in my rv searching for that special place to buy some property and finally settle. i can turn a long distance online relationship into a local dating experience in a matter of days if i got well enough acquainted with the right lady online and over the phone. and of course i wouldn't be out anything but several gallons of expensive gas if it didn't work out. hut hell, my goal was to take my time seeing the country so any excuse to visit a new locale works for me.

Cold turkey.

No friendship with her.

No contact.

Do not call, or accept her call.

You will have a hard time moving on if you take baby steps.

Get out and find new things to think about. Get out and find anything to occupy yourself. Dont stick to routine. The old routine allowed you time for thoughts of her. Do new things.

I will lose her forever if i do that, dude!! :(

uh, what makes you think you ever had her? the only thing you have to loose is an unhealthy obsession.

I have always tried to put a little in my 401K plan over the years. I have lost 45% of that money twice in the last 10 years. Now that I might need it I have to pay a 15% penalty to our government who fuked everything up in the first place. Thats Bullchit....smokin

and then there are those of us who followed events in the economy and adjusted our 401k and ira accordingly and not only lost nothing but enjoyed nice gains over those same ten years and retired at an early age. and of course i've paid the government nothing in penalties. we often look to blame others for our own missdealings.

Well aren't we a condensending smarty pants.........smokin

i suppose but sure happy living in an early retirement thanks to 401k and ira.

The most reliable moral guide is intelligence.........
exactly!
The ability to think and act! waving

Not exactly. What one person "THINKS" to be good, may not be what another person "THINKS" to be good. What one "KNOWS" is moral, another may "KNOW" differently.

so the bible that some "KNOW" to be a good moral guide is not "KNOWN" to be a good moral guide to more than two thirds of the world's population indeed making intelligence the ONLY moral guide. and of course no two people possess the same level of intelligence or morality.

Conrad_73 most of the people who frequent this thread know what a scientific theory is.

i don't think that's the case at all from what i read here.

i suppose it's how you define the status quo. as regards the big bang the status quo to you seems to mean "many people". that would put the big bang on par with creation as many people are christian, a religious dogma that cannot be tested. to me status quo as regards the big bang are "many theoretical physicists" who have tested the theory.
