Chances (Like Sand)

I saw the eyes of an angel
And read from her heart,
Touched her dear soul
At an old coffee shop.

She was beautiful to me.

Dark matted hair
And hazel gray eyes,
A thin bow of smile
As we talked about life.

She was more...
Than she seemed to be.

It seems she once had a life
Full of flowers and dreams,
She fell from her grace
When she entered her teens
And then she paused a while...

She lost her smile.

She said chances come round
Sometimes only once,
You better grab them while you can...
And if you don't.
They'll fall through your life.

Like sand.

I felt her tears fall
As they washed down her face,
She apologized softly
And then turned away...

My heart broke in two,
What was I to do?

I tried to give comfort
The best that I could
I held her head softly
I didn't know if I should...

I told her she was beautiful to me.

When it came time to part
She smiled out a thanks,
Embraced me and laughed
And went on her way.

I was intrigued.
To say the least.

She said chances come round

I once had a chance
To love an angel in life,
To love her forever
And make her my wife.

I had other things to do...

Caught in a Wish

When the bell tolls the chime,
The hour is near.
The flowers smell sweet
As sobs fill my ears.

A tunnel of light
With darkness below,
Come tell me now
Which way do I go?

Decend to the darkness;
Ascend to the light,
Nothing here seems
What ought to be right.

Up is now down
And down to the left,
I'm spinning in circles
In spite of my death.

Flashes of lightning
And pictures of life.
Family now crying.
I fell out of time.

Decayed and dismembered.
Forgotten and found.
Bagged up n tossed
Like trash on the ground.

Caught in a rift
Between heaven and hell,
Torn like a ragdoll
Loved never so well.

Death was a peace
I thought of in life
And life is now peace
I think of in strife.

Changes come swiftly
My chances now gone.
Sunlight now wake me,
Yet never comes dawn.

Tortured and broken
Now here must I stay,
Cursed in this limbo,
I think not to pray.

Awakened and dizzy,
Warm sun on my skin.
Aroused by the sweat
Now wetting my head.

Thankful for dreams
That remain what they are,
This a subtile reminder
Leaving it's mark.

Morningtime Play


First rays of sunlight
As night time departs,
Awaking from dreams
Yet still here you are.

The whispers of morning,
Much sweeter from you.
Grabbing a pillow,
You hinder my view.

A poke and a tickle,
A trickle of sweat,
A whack from the pillow
Upside my fogged head.

A faint, tiny laugh
Escapes from your lips
And a thud with a groan
As I fall to the bed.

Now I'm covered in blankets
So morning can't see,
The body that tortures
And presses to me.

Strangely subdued,
Submissive by force,
Showered in kisses
You're strong as a horse.

With giggles and tickles
We frolic and play,
Till noon time decends
And we must each start our day.
