Is it only me or what?

Two months ago my son visited and brought me a huge box of different coffees from his local coffee gourmet shop. Right now, I'm working on pumpkin spice mixed with extreme dark roast.
I drink my coffee with 1/2 a tsp of sugar and a bit of Ryan's Irish cream liquor (Bailey's is just too damn expensive for me anymore) |

Lying usually indicates a trust issue.
Lies can and do get out of control. Sometimes the liar doesn't know where the truth stops and the lie begins. In the future I recommend honest communication from the start. Honest communication which is founded in mutual trust. |

Near me...this year and most recent years, all grocery stores are open on Christmas but with modified hours, usually a later opening start time.
Nearly every 'store' is open on New Year's Day and New Year's Eve unless it is government or bank related (banks, post offices, etc...). Recently, I've not seen many grocery stores that are 'closed' on any holiday. On a different view, most stores that are open on Christmas are usually staffed by people without family plans or families. So, you are actually more prone to meet someone available for dating that is working on Christmas. Many stores set schedules to allow the workers with families to have that day off. |

Joy and happiness... 🌹
|
|
Joy and Happiness are twigs on the same emotional branch of contentment.
Joy is a sense of well-being not only for yourself but for others as well. Happiness is a sense of pleasure you gain within yourself as a comparison to the static state of contentment. During the holidays, we feel warmth and connection to others around us using the common experience of the holiday. Being blessed with the joy we get from others makes us feel happiness within ourselves which increases the joy we add to the experience. For most, there is no distinction between joy and happiness. |

Old Schooler,
I understand exactly what you're sayin'. "Online Dating" is not very effective to find 'the one'. Even dating IRL is difficult nowadays given the 'social norm' of modern society. Us old-timers hold onto social concepts which have become obsolete. Thing is, these online dating tools are nothing more than tools. If you use it as a tool, as its intended, it can work but like most tools but some proficiency is expected. Its important to realize this tool's limitations. You must understand what it can and can't do. You need to use it safely and correctly. One of the common mistakes men make when using online dating is trying to gather as many 'hits' as possible for women who are often 'too good to be true'. If you are looking for "The One" its best to focus on One at a time. This requires research and dedication, which takes time. If you follow the pictures to make your decision you will find most pictures do NOT actually represent the person to whom it is associated. Many profiles are incomplete or filled with contradictions. You need to examine the 'target' before you make contact. Realize, 9 times of 10 if 'she' contacts you, its gunna be a scam of some sort. Face value real is not very likely when considering the anonymity of an online connection. Using the online dating tool is mostly eliminating the unworthy. You remove the chaff to find the sweet grain. There's a lot of chaff. When you finally do find someone who seems real and honest you have to break the online barrier and actually meet. This is way harder than it needs to be. If your perfect match will not meet you in real life, she's NOT your perfect match. You can spend time and energy on trying to convince her to meet you but you are wasting your time. The whole idea about using online dating is to actually meet someone in real life. There are many that want to meet someone but are too scared or holding onto previous bad experiences. Some are just playing the games or not really women at all. Some just can't be sure but will never be 'sure' about anyone. In real-life dating, it happens face to face. Online dating happens face to screen. You can't get to know someone face to screen. No matter how well they present themselves, you will never actually know if they are truthful or lying to you till you are with them, unscripted. You need to see what is not being shown. |

Oh, Child of Mine

Oh, Child of Mine;
Now in my 60s I realize many things I taught you were wrong. For only if I'd had the wisdom I now possess might your journey be a bit easier.... To see you struggling in many ways I know too well, makes me sick with inadequacy. It was my responsibility to teach you what you needed to know about life. How to deal with those life challenges which really try our resolve. Had I known then what I know now, I might have saved you from those things. All I can do is ask your patience as I try to impart the wisdom I've gained thru trial and error to guide you to a better path. Its my job, my responsibility as a parent, to guide you till I die. A dedication I make to you as your dad to always look out for you. You might see it as nagging or meddling but it is purely given from my love to you, my child. If nothing else in this whole Universe is more important, let it be known my love and hope for you to be healthy and wise as you grow older is more important to me. Yes, dad is always trying to change you, not to hurt you but to make you more of what you could be. |

you could experiment with some tape on the sensor sides to limit their range of detection instead of such a wide angle.
it senses movement so the tape, being stable and constant, shouldn't activate it. kinda like matting a photo or putting side blinders on a horse. |
|
|
|
Motion sensors do not have face recognition software, they just detect motion.
Some have sensitivity settings if you opt for the 'deluxe' models. Aiming can also be effective but it can't tell if it is a cat, a dog or a piece of paper. As with any motion activated device (trail cams...etc) you will get false positives. The motion lights out back of my apt go on and off all thru the night as neighbors come and go. Its just the way it works. Most of the time, nobody even notices. More of a prowler/thief deterrent than a safety feature. |

understanding what we know, what we don't know and what we think we know. Einstein who was proven right already
Can you see the contradiction? While Einstein was brilliant, along with many others, science does not stagnate. If it does, it becomes religion. Science pushes what we know (or think we know). Science once stated the Earth was the center of the Universe. Right now we know that isn't true. It was science, now its not. Hawking was a leading theorist on black holes. I've read some of his theories, watched some of his lectures. People will swear he had it all figured out but its all just one man's theory which other men adopt as gospel. That's not science. Science constantly asks questions, constantly questions favorite truths. Its about looking to see if there is more to it than we thought. Science will not place one man's work over itself. People do that. Not science. |

every situation is different
Consider the environment where you are getting your samples. Virtual presence is not the same as actually being there, face to face. Sadly, 'the phone' has become a substitution for real-life encounters. In real-life encounters you have many signals which are lost in a virtual encounter. The lil things do add up. Its really difficult to find any REAL connection without experiencing each other live and in-person. There are many who hold their inner feelings close and display 'toughness' as a protection defense. This virtual connection becomes a ruse-play which causes people to be able to lie with ease. Actors make the best liars. Knowing this, its obvious the only way to find someone worthy of love is to actually meet them face to face and spend unscripted time with them. You pick one and put yourself in their path. If you are busy filling your plate with many possibles, you won't have time or the dedication needed to develop a connection with one. Relationships are personal. Phones, texting and social networking is not. To have and hold a relationship you both have to get personal, intimate, let down those guards, show your honest self. In today's world, its a very difficult thing for some people to do. Who can you safely expose the real you to? Who can you trust? Certainly not just anyone. |

Wonder if love even exists today
Since love is something which is felt within, sure it does. Love is personal, its an emotionally driven feeling you feel inside. If you are not feeling it for anyone, anywhere then yes, love may seem to be missing from your world. But, since it is a personal, emotionally driven feeling, you can never actually feel someone else's love. Just because you can't feel the love they feel doesn't mean it does not exist. The only thing anyone can do is express the love they feel towards another but this only works if the demonstration is effective and the person receiving the demonstration understands what is being presented and is willing to accept the declaration. So, in a way, love requires two for it to grow beyond your own inner feelings. The only place love can really be found is within yourself. |

Let's look at the reality of this Universe as we know it.
Matter has mass Mass exerts a gravitational effect on the Universe. Mass (and gravity) attracts other mass which is added to the whole. This is how celestial objects (dust clouds, rocks, asteroids, comets, planets and stars) form and grow. As more mass is added to the whole, that object's gravitational "pull" gets stronger, attracting even more mass to the whole. A photon can be a wave or a particle. When it is a particle, it has mass. We know light is affected be gravity (gravitational lensing). Since mass is attracted to mass, accumulation of new mass to the whole can be uneven. This creates stellar poles and unstable areas within the whole. When a certain mass is reached, the star either becomes unstable and explodes (supernova) or a section of it gives way and it pulsates while it spins (pulsar). If the mass is stable and there is enough new mass within its gravitational horizon it continues to gain mass until its mass is so great, light can't escape its influence. During this phase of mass, the mass compacts the star into a single unit of mass. Imagine packing a snowball into a single atom of ice but on a much larger, more massive and extremely hot scale. This single mass now attracts more and more matter which is absorbed into the singularity increasing its gravitational affect. Which in turn, attracts even more mass. This is how 'black holes' can grow. If a 'black hole' were a 'hole' or an area of a different dimension, matter would pass thru it not accumulate on it (or to it). The very fact a 'black hole' attracts matter proves it is not a hole. Its not a 'drain'. Its a supermassive singularity of matter. Black holes (all matter actually) have multiple event horizons. Only one is the light event horizon. The Earth is currently within Sagittarius A's gravitational event horizon. As a matter of fact, the whole Milky Way galaxy is trapped within its gravitational event horizon. The Earth is also trapped within the Sun's gravitational event horizon. The Moon is trapped within the Earth's and Sun's gravitational horizon. |
