Joy and what is for you Happiness...

For me joy is good which arrives from inside of you.. that sustains you when your circumstances around you are unhappy...
Joy is within you..

Happiness is conditionally based.. means that exterior things around you are going well and it can change at any moment...

For me, it means that I may be unhappy because something around me might not be fine, but I have joy inside me.. because the joy which is within me is not connected with circumstances which I am ..

To me, happiness is a moment, when my loved ones (cats, family, friends) are free of pain and sorrow.

Joy means to me, enjoying things, I like. A nice homecooked meal, hiking trips, playing with my cats, listening to music or painting.

Both can be externally or internally generated.
The externally based versions are conditional and short-lived. They fade away as soon as the buzz wears off or the external trigger has gone.

Internally can be generated just like that, isn't conditional and can be very long-lasting.

I generate both within, thank goodness for that otherwise life would be 50 shades less colourful!
But of course external things or events can add to it.

Joy is everything and happiness last for only a moment

My joy for the holidays is in the satisfaction I feel for the season overall. I love the anticipation of snow and gathering by the fireplace.

My happiness occurs when it does snow, and I am enjoying my cup of tea by the fireplace with friends.

Happiness is a sense of pleasure you gain within yourself as a comparison to the static state of contentment.

During the holidays, we feel warmth and connection to others around us using the common experience of the holiday.
Being blessed with the joy we get from others makes us feel happiness within ourselves which increases the joy we add to the experience.
For most, there is no distinction between joy and happiness.

There is a reason there is so much warmth and joy this month. It only happens once a year from roughly Thanksgiving to New Years. I left out the most celebrated day of the year. What is the big deal? Why so much good will and charity? There is the answer
