HOMELESS CHILDREN
|

see it in the inner city dailly, my motorcycle club spent christmas day cooking for an all boys shelter and we ate with them and bought them the basic necessities for Christmas, seeing the sparkle in their eyes made me ask, how in the hell can you abandon such a child, of course a few of them had been hardened by the streets and the writing is on the wall for them, but the younger ones can be saved if only.....so as always I have to ask, where's the real WAR at.
Kudos to you poster for what you do, the essense of life is sharing it with those less fortunate. |

bottom line guilt is equal to insecurity, and the catholic religion, they thrive off such, it feeds the coffers....just my personal opinion......

I've already addressed the golf issue, but again, they can't drive the ball as far as the men creating an unfair advantage.....Tennis...anyone of the top ten men would crush the williams sisters on their best day.....swimming, the records aren't even close as to times...Nascar I really don't consider a sport, I don't even consider motorcycling a sport and I ride one, but I'm proud to say there are some women in my club that ride faster than I do and I've been 170 on a bike.....as for boxing, please, be serious.

oh yeah I almost forgot about them, and they were coinsidered the best female baseball players in the country and couldn't beat minor minor league players, although the effort was heroic...I still love that movie "a league of their own"...and that's exactly what they need, a league of their own, but then again I guess anything is possible with steroids, look at what bonds was able to accomplish....never hit more than 38 homers, then he turns 40 and hits 70+, wow....
still all in all my money is on the woman raising a child, grocery shopping, and domestic murder.... |

feeling lonely....

I've heard statistically that a woman's greatest fear is to die...alone
I never believed such, I think her greatest fear is to live...... many times we think we are alone and in the physical sense we may be, but in reality we are never alone by fate, just by choice. There's someone for everyone, yet we can't see them because we go through life with eyes wide shut.....many times that person is so close we could touch them daily, but for fear of rejection, or just simply thinking one to brash to reach out first we miss the opportunity of a life time.....Here's hoping the sun shines upon you and fills your emptiness with substance...By the way, enjoyed the poem immensely, sometimes loneliness produces awesome muses, sadly.... |

yes we all know that, two games you say, how many games in a season...I coached a 8th grade basketball team, and I always had young lady on my boys team, two years straight the young lady was one of the best players, but she couldn't compete with the varsity boys....As I stated earlier, they've tried and failed miserably. Seriously, could you imagine if Tiger and Phil competed in the Lpga, a woman would never cash a first place check again, if the worst team in the NBA, played the best team in the WNBA they'd beat them by 75 or more....the strongest woman in the world can't lift half the weight the strongest man in the world can lift......What's the closest any woman has ever come to winning a marathon with men in it 18th....Oops I forgot, "Undefeated Zenyatta becomes the first female to win the Breeders' Cup Classic"...she beat the best boys in the world......and deserves the recognition....but sorry, that's as close as you'll get....it's not demeaning, just fact.
Manon Rhéaume ^Btw I have her rookie card...lol and it should be noted they were exhibition games that she played in. |

Be serious, it's not discrimination, it's actually good for the perspective leagues and games.....There isn't a woman alive that can outdrive even the top 50 men on the PGA tour, so therefore that puts them at a disadvantage from the start....football, I'm not even gonna go there, other than a kicker, where could they play competitively?...baseball, women can barely hit a 70 mile an hour softball let alone a 95+ mile an hour baseball, although I'd take a girl in pee wee league anyday, but after they get older, it's a wrap, men are just physically faster and stronger....Could you imagine Laila Ali fighting any one in the top 60 in boxing, she'd be hospitalized....some things in life women are better than men, not the physical grueling sports, it just isn't a reality. They've tried competing against the men and none have succeeded yet....

The Core Of A Man (repost)

enjoyed this immensly, very "colorful"...ot's amazing men can see all colors and whilst declaring the rainbow and the kaliedoscope beautiful because of their many colors and yet they can't seem to get along with each other because of colors....
Now, if I could find a man like that ^ha ha, you probably already have, many I suppose, maybe you got blinded by the light, don't we all when searching... |

The Colors of Humanity
Manacles suppress a beautiful mind decayed by the stench of putrid bitterness created long before Mr. Whitney made you expendable yet you loathe me despite my relation to Harriet uncle Tom was never relevant nor did his cabin provide shelter unto your bitterness its wood burned food for thought could one become a christian to be born again and return as an abolitionist the absurdity of it astounds me but chains will always bind us together regardless of our ancestry linked through the color of love red hues splashed in anger dipped in disdain tainted by the past we live to paint the pictures shadows cast...... |

yes there should be two shut off valves, one for hot and one for cold, it's actually code to have them, and you should install one for cases such as these, now you'll have to trace the lines in the basement and shut them off from there, in some older houses you'll need to shut the main valve off (all the water in the house) because they aren't up to code...Everyone thus far has given you the correct info, they also make a special tool that removes the nuts from underneath the faucet hardware, but if the hardware is newer, the nuts may or should be hard plastoc, however Mark gave you the easy way out. Personally I'd teplace the entire piece, because once it goes bad, it's bad......the newer ones are so easy to install even a dummy like me can do it, and I'm and old school plumber

a plus to living in america and other developed countries is not having to see multiple dead bodies laying around for days on end to the point of it being everyday life. i'm really thankful for that
^nope, you're right, they don't lie around, they get shipped to the morgue.....kids killing kids and parents kill their kids and we lable it post pardum and sent them to psych wards because after all it's a sickness......course I guess it is better than Rwanda huh..... |

glad someone else broke the ice on this, to each their own, those who enjoy cyber friendships have made their choice to do so, personally I have cyber contacts and people I communicate with on all levels, but I'm not fool heartedly enough to consider them friends for the simple fact that 1. I take the word and it's meaning to heart, it entails much more than words on a screen to me, and until I meet the person and look into their eyes and see their mannerism's etc, how could I determine them "friend", the same as love, both words have lost their meaning in our society....that's just my own personal opinion, and as I say to each their own.

Silence
|

remember the saying, a child should be seen and not heard, I imagine that's why many of us write......this brought back many memories, I never uttered more than two words when I was a tad pole, then when someone told me it was ok to speak, I went crazy with conversation, now that same person tells me to shut up already...lol
Enjoyed this, silence is golden, but like the aftermath of rain (tears), belongs at the end of a rainbow.... |
