My favorite Poet, but the poem is definitely copyrighted and I think his estate frowns heavily on it's use when posted under someone else's name unless it's being used for educational purposes. In any event, he definitely wouldn't appreciate it, especially having his name spelled wrongly in the caption.....

^your first few answers are perplexing to me. Haven't we as a society learned anything yet about the long term effects of lying to the children of the world.....and if your son did turn out gay, would he not still be YOUR SON...his sexual preference should have no bearing on the bond between father and son. Same with a special needs child, all children have SPECIAL NEEDS, it's called LOVE

^keep listening to people and you'll end up harboring these feelings for a long long time, people by nature are nurturing to a condescending point, they'll baby you and coddle you and give you a false sense of security. True it is not your fault what HAPPENED to you, but it will be your fault if you allow it to eat away at your soul, it will be your fault if these animals attack someone else because you've done nothing to prevent it when you have the chance, there is no statue of limitations on rape or molestations, it doesn't take much courage to tell the truth, just to stand behind it.

I'm extremely empathetic to your situation and no child deserves to have suffered such a plight in life, however I'll probably receive a lot of flack for this, but I could care less about anyone else's opinion on my opinion, only what you'll do with the advice I'm about to give you.....

I know a man that molested a little girl, the family decided not to press charges to PROTECT their little girl, two years later that same man molested and killed two other children. Had they had him prosecuted the first time to the full extent of the law those two babies might be alive today. You are not responsible for anothers actions towards you, but you are totally responsible for your reactions. To not deal with this appropriately is to remain a victim the rest of your life and allow him to remain in complete control of your soul and it will haunt you til your death. Do the right thing, have that a.s.s strung up and just maybe you'll be able to sleep at night and more importantly you'll save someone else from being a victim.......Good luck with whatever you decide to do and again, much empathy

compassion, lol..you know absolutely nothing about me, where I've been and what I am compassionate about. Certain things I have no compassion about tis true, especially one who complains yet when the shoe was on the other foot, it didn't bother him all that much. No choice, sorry but we all have choices, it's just some can't afford them, plus we have the choice to voice our concerns to those who are causing the discomfort, it is their choice to be compassionate and smoke outside or to ignor his plea, we can't do anything except offer our opinions, and they are like, well you know, but the one thing is we are entitled to them....Have a good day

my kids arent babies anymore
my daughter is 26yrs with 3kids and my son is 22yrs and hes a special needs child with a mind capcity of a 12yr old... i just dont think his dad has or ever will know how to deal with a child with a disabilty

^why do you classify him as a "Dad", he's not, just a donor, father means much more than producing offspring. He must mold the child unto adult hood, his loss that he didn't, course he loses a lot, respect as a man being the number 1 thing, and not to mention the joys of parenthood.

Again, to me it is a given..an unspoken universal law, the mother/father child bond

I think they are just letting you know that if you can't accept the children then there is no further conversation...as it should be, I actually like seeing that in a profile, I just wish more people thought that way, the world would be a lot better place if we stopped neglecting its children. ^bottom line is diets are ineffective without an exercise program, it takes little effort to lose weight with all the drugs, but you must work to keep it off....eating healthy is always good, but physical conditioning can only enhance it.

^not for nothing, but don't you think it kind of hypocritical, what of all the years that you smoked, did you worry about others then. My advice to you is to move, I hear they have a complex in Napa Valley where there is a no smoking policy....I love people that complain about smoking, yet use areosols and drive cars, and especially those that used to smoke, then they quit, now they expect everyone to cater to them. The tobacco industry and their customers have been taxed beyond belief to pay for everything, so you'll get no smypathy from me, either suck it up or move on....I'd love to see you outside the beer distributors boycotting americas worst drug.

^these lines were as abstract in a poem as I have ever seen and yet for some strange reason they carried it beyond belief. an awesome insertion and the envy of all those who relate chess to life itself, me I'd rather be a pawn, we are the only ones that can change.....very nice
