Read The Book
|
|
Alone she sat upon a bench, her chest heaving with a multitude of sobs, her tear stained face in her hands prevented her from seeing the man who sat beside her. "My child, why do you cry" She told him to leave her alone, that he wouldn't understand. He pulled from his pocket a shiny book, and said, "please read the book, it will make all your tears and heartache disappear" She took the book and opened it, she saw children with inflated stomachs filled with air from starvation, she saw deformed children being born everywhere. She quickly turned the page and saw people dying with cancer and aids, saw soldiers returning from war with no limbs. Quickly she turned to another page where she saw gardens of majestic beauty, families eating and playing together, a newborn suckling upon his mothers breast, she lingered on these pages for some time before she went on. The next page she saw people relating to each other, sharing emotion, thoughts and feelings, hugging and nodding in agreement. Feeling a lot better, she turned to the last page and saw the mans picture, there was a halo above his head, and she asked, what is the name of the book and are you GOD?, "no" he replied, I am your inner soul and the book is just simply, POETRY |

sorry, never received a message from you only a friend request, wondering now if it's the same thing. I don't do the cyber friends thing for two reasons. 1. If I meet someone and enter into a relationship, then it would not be fair to her to be on a dating site or have friends upon one. 2. I take the word "friend" very seriously, maybe too seriously, but that's me.....I'm probably one of the most loyal people one could meet, but you'd only know that if we met.....if you have a hand full of friends you're truly blessed, if you have more than a handful you're lying to yourself....The word genuine applies, thanks for your respectful answer appreciate it.

lovely sentiments, it says a lot about the character of a person who wishes to dissolve the pain of others. The salt of the earth is actually quite bitter and yet it still stings beyond compare.....Many would do well to have such a compassionate soul in their lives...thanks for sharing

Sharris, the title is called ettiquette, you can basically do what you want within the framework of the sites rules and procedures, these are my PERSONAl opinions which I as you are entitled to. There is never a freedom lost in ettiquette only respect gained....ettiquette has very little to do with rule enforcement, at least I never saw a constitution app;ied to any definition of it....If you took this personally than perhaps the question is within yourself, not from me......

well personally I like all the photos on the right, real, fresh. a true beautiful woman doesn't need any further adornment. so basically you don't need an ocean, just good judgement and finding someone who is confident enough in their own skin rather than in one they can paint over......booyah

I've written to the moderator requesting permission to write this, received no response so will suffer the consequences should there be any forth coming.
A writing community survives and flourishes upon the support of its member base, it's willingness to share, and to relate. Personally I think it selfish to post and expect comments, kudos whatever without returning the favor, and commenting on your own comments does not count. Secondly I think it VERY disrespectful; for someone to post a poem within the thread of another Authors poem, not only does it distract the other readers who have happened upon that thread, but it is a tacky self promotion.....These are my opinions and thoughts and don't reflect that of any one else from this website that I know of. The bottom line is, try to support each other, we have some great writers within this forum and I'd like to see them inspired to enhance their gifts.....Have a great holiday season...... you mean there are people on this site without mental problems, wow, talk about the minority, we are all screwed up somewhere, some more than others and one sin is not less or worse then the next....personally I have what is called an above board policy, no topic should be off limits, a person can't love you for who you are if they don't know who you are....and that entails everything, then it's up to them, to know me it to love me, to reject me is a great loss on their part, that's how you must look at it, but in the end be honest, if not it will come back to haunt you

He knoes as well as anyone else that a complete withdrawl in a very short period of time would cause nothing but chaos.
^so, big deal...were you as concerned with sending our troops over to those third world countries where the mercenaries killed the men and raped the women so badly they needed to be surgically repaired....No one cares about that because they have no natural resources we can rape from the countryside. America needs to clean up its own back yard before declaring someone else's front dirty. Our young men and women are walking around in afganistan and Iraq with targets on their backs, it's not a war but a turkey shoot.....and there is a lesson to be learned about when the afgans kicked Russia's a.s.s with primitive weapons, now they are on an even playing field with the U.S. same result. |

enhance is a great word
I always wondered about the statement he/she completes me, if you weren't whole to begin with you never will be, love, life is an oyster, everyone should have a pearl to share it with, it just makes it interesting. |
