Viagra and Cialis are an issue as well. Check and see how many child molesters are on these stupid drugs. I'm sorry. "Legal" drugs, advertised on prime time TV. This country is hooked on one drug or another. "Legal" or illegal.

Insurance companies make a living off of stats, and the stats don't lie. Pit bulls have a proven track record. Sorry to say but some animals are more dangerous than others. Not many Yorkshire Terriers kill people. jmo

Craigslist will soon be out of business as lawsuits start. Don't worry, they will reappear as Tomslist, etc...

I always figured the money made off of ringtone sales were divided up, with some going to the artist or recording company.

That's pretty much what we have now, except that while some are going through the legal process to become citizens, MANY, MANY more are just crossing the border illegally and expecting to be taken care of as if they were a contributing citizen who HAD gone through the legal process.

I, like most that I've heard about on the same side of the issue, have absolutely no problem with people who want to become citizens of this country through legal means. As for the others, they would do well to respect the laws of our country FIRST before they try to benefit from the things that (up until now) have been available to the citizenry.

Agreed

That's sorta like "No Spin, Fair and Balanced!" FOX .... right? grumble rant mad

You are comparing a tv network to a President. If Helen Thomas is mad, something is wrong. She has an impeccable record as a journalist.

Bush never promised transparency, and was not transparent.

Obama made transparency a key part of his campaign, but I have yet to see it...no pun intended.

You get caught with pot and you go to jail. 15 drunk drivings and what? The government makes alot of money off of beer sales and arrests. Hypocrisy at its best.

It's a miracle he has not killed or seriously injured someone yet. Lock his *** up and throw away the key. How many of us get 15 chances to correct a mistake?

ohwell Just like Pit Bulls it always ends badlyohwell

Not always. Pit bulls can be domesticated and have been great pets to many families. Snakes however are reptiles with no domestic history....apple and oranges there.

I can't speak to the percentages as far as which dogs are more inclined to become agressive, however it's a fact that a pit bull has tremendous jaw strength and is very ferocious in its attack. When a pit bull does attack, it can do far more damage than most other breeds.

The way a pit bull attacks can be likened to a shark attack.... it bites deep, holds on, and shakes its victim, causing deep muscle and tissue tearing.

This potential, combined with the fact that many people, intentionally or unintentionally, foster the visciousness in this and other breeds, is the reason these dogs are perceived harshly and are sometimes banned.

Agreed, it is why they were the main dogs involved in dog fighting, thus breeding a culture that misused the breed (Michael Vick) and got all the bad publicity. I do not care for the breed myself, but a friend of mine had one and it is a good dog. So I have been enlightened. Our local dog pound is full of pit bull purebreds and half breeds.

I think it's a common misconception for adults to find the current generation of youth to be a wasted generation.

You can look back in time all the way down to the 1920s where there is news article after news article calling the current generation 'lost.'

I don't think you're wrong, but at the same time I think things in your mind are a bit skewed.

People today hold the generation of the 1930s as a group of heroes. They fought through the Great Depresssion, they were champions in WW2, they created the can-do spirit and family stability that America is (or was) known for, and is referred to by some as the greatest generation to date.

But the adults of the time referred to the youth as the 'lost generation.'

To look at the 1930s press, scholarly assessments, and official declarations, never had young people been so violent, mentally disarrayed, drugged, lazy, promiscuous, criminal, and hopeless.
Which is exactly what you think the current situation is.

You have to realize that a lot of things are changing.

We're getting out of a war across seas.
Our economy is terrible.
There is a fight for total human equality.

While things make look poor to you, there is quite a bit going on and we need the youth of today to fight for the things they believe in as they are our tomorrow.

Good post. I have a 19 year old son and 23 year old daughter. I just don't see the backbone and toughness in them that I had at their age, of course my dad said the same thing about me I'm sure.

Pit bulls are good dogs. It's just that many people got them for the wrong reasons and did not properly train them. They did lead all breeds in dog bites for a couple of years in a row, much as Rottweilers did before, much as Dobermans did before that...jmo

Hey it's a Wisconsin thing, I appreciate the comparison to Krupa as well. I'm from Janesville (I know it sounds tough) an hour north of Chicago, but I'm not sure about musicman. Either way, I will shut up now.

u mean a union?

Collective goals, unions have their own set of goals that differ from the members of that union. At least that's how it is in the states, different out there across the big blue?

I'm talking about an uprising, collectively geared in one direction with one goal.

An uprising collectively geared in one direction with one goal, sound like a hitler agenda to me. You will never get a bunch of dissatisfied people to focus on one goal here. jmo, so many agendas. you see my point? the democrats can not unite all of their supporters and the republicans can not identify their supporters. The disgruntled here will never unite to one force.

To be older today is tough, to be young is twice as bleak. I was an angry teen and harnessed my energy in sports (wrestling) and in the military. Did it work? kinda.
