Vigil - another series, UK one - 2021
Story is about something that happened on a sub when it was in the US. When someone gets murdered on the sub in the now, there are reasons for the regular police to investigate it. So a detective has to board the sub while her colleague works on things from the shore.

Really good! Solid British quality.
Gary Lewis (I love him!!), Rose Leslie.
Plenty of Scottish-ness, which I love as well :)

Vigil was well worth it!!

Another one:
Grace 2021 - UK detective series, the detective's name being Roy Grace.
John Simm as Grace.

Seen the 1st episode, which is an hour and a half. Really good!! Again, typical British style & quality, which is great.

A Confession - UK crime - rating 7,6 - 2019
With Martin Freedom (The Hobbit himself, Dr Watson)

Based on a true story that took place in Wiltshire, UK.

A girl has disappeared and police take very quick and massive action to find her, hoping she's still alive.
Eventually they find a suspect and he talks about another murder he committed. But due to a technicality it all becomes very difficult in court, especially for the detective supt. who did a marvellous job.

A really good watch, but I got furious near the end, hihi, so I skipped the second last episode and went straight to the end in the last one.
It's disgusting how UK court dealt with the detective. I hope it rained complaints, and did so again when the series was released by ITV.
So a very good watch, but that part of concerning the detective left a sour taste in my mouth.

Manhunt - 2017 - UK crime series - 2 seasons - 7,5 rating
Based on true stories. 2 seasons of resp. 3 & 4 episodes.

2nd season is a case that's been going no for 17 yrs (!!!) with a man breaking into people's homes -mostly single elderly people- and raping / sexually assaulting them. Even an old pensioner man falls victim to this.
Police have no idea who the culprit is and have unsuccessfully been at it for 17 yrs. Then they get Colin Sutton in to try solve the case.

Excellent series! Again typical UK series, meaning great quality.

Unforgotten - Crime -UK series 2015-2021 - 8,3 rating and worth it!

Cold case series and each season, of which there are 4, evolves around 1 case. The way it's set up is really good.

Drive Angry (2011)
Thrown into hell for his crimes, brutal felon John Milton (Nicolas Cage) escapes from the fiery pit after cultists murder his daughter and take her baby. Intent on rescuing the child, Milton joins forces with a waitress, who gives him her ex-lover's black muscle car. In it, the two pursue the cult leader, who plans to sacrifice the infant and unleash hell on Earth. However, the hunters become the hunted when Satan sends his merciless henchman (William Fichtner) to drag Milton back.
Lots of action from the very start.

Trapped Icelandic crime/thriller series - 2 seasons - 8,1 rating
Seems promising but not sure yet. If the Icelandic police is as badly organised as you see here... I'm not a copper but I could've done a much better job at containing the situation, and I would've too.
But not giving up on it yet.

Trapped that I mentioned above is good for sure!
It is a bit tiring to watch though as you have to pay close attention due to the complex storyline. Normally no problem whatsoever but they speak Icelandic so you constantly have to read.
In the past I was used to this, being Dutch most everything had subs, but now I find it tiring.

Nevertheless, the series is well worth watching!

I watched the first season of Justified and I liked it. It's not Cowboys or a western type show.

The Interrogation of Michael Crowe (2002) 6.9 Rating

The lives of Escondido, California residents Cheryl and Stephen Crowe change one morning when they find their twelve year old daughter Stephanie Crowe stabbed to death in her bedroom. As procedure dictates, the police take each member of the household away individually to be questioned, and the remaining children - fourteen year old Michael Crowe and adolescent Shannon Crowe - are taken into protective custody until Cheryl and Stephen can be cleared. The police end up placing much of their focus on the sullen Michael, who they question without counsel and without discussion with his parents. The tone of the police questioning is that they believe Michael did kill his sister, the police lying, harassing and coercing in the process. Under the barrage of questioning, Michael eventually confesses, as do two of his friends, both questioned under the same threatening tone. Cheryl and Stephen, who are finally made aware of the questioning and the confessions, enlist the help of sympathetic attorney, Dorothy Sorenson, to clear Michael and his friends while trying to find the real killer, who they believe is a transient named Richard Tuite.

The Lost Symbol - 2021 - 6,9 rating - Robert Langdon TV series
Thank you, Slim Gym for mentioning this one!

Not with Tom Hanks as Robert Langdon. And having watched almost 4 episodes now it somehow is missing something.
Maybe that's just the story itself, or the lack of Tom Hanks' energy & vibe, not sure. But I don't find it nearly as captivating as the movies, although it isn't bad either.
