I just finished the series Hanna. Damn, is it good! Absolutely worth watching and no surprise it has a 7,6 rating.
Mine would be a 10 as I find it that good!

The end was good in a way yet at the same time not a happy end.
And of course, as per usual, I cried.

A series I've never come across before, A Discovery of Witches
2018 - 3 seasons - 8 rating
Sci-Fi & Fantasy, Drama, Mystery

No surprise the rating is so high as it is unbelievably good!
I hope they keep up this high vibe and good storyline all throughout the seasons.

It's about witches, vampires and demons living among us.
Normally I skip anything with vampires as it's so boring and over the top. Blade is the only exception, and Dracula Untold.

But this seems to be another one. It's really good and not just about blood sucking vampires. It's actually got a storyline.

The Book of Boba Fett.
Bald-headed middle-aged guy who can still kick-*** with a smokin' hot Asian female partner who can also kick-*** and has "robotic parts."
What's not to love?

A Discovery of Witches that I mentioned above is incredibly good!
From clothes, to settings, to cast, acting, the whole lot.
The chemistry between the main characters, but also with the others, works like you seldom see.

The only question mark I have is about what the demons can do.
As for the rest, top series, one of the best I've seen. I feel it's even better than "Outlander" which I feel they dragged out waaaaaaaaay too long.
And yes, the chemistry between Jamie and Claire is there, certainly in the first seasons, but somehow I feel the chemistry between Diana & Matthew is even better.
Remarkable series. One I wouldn't mind buying, which for me is extraordinary, hihi.

Invasion - tv series - 2021 - IMDB rating 6 - SciFi

I started watching it yesterday and it is good!
Not sure about my rating but it would be higher, more like an 8 for now.

Change of mind... if you do not want to waste your time do not watch Invasion (2021).
It's slow as hell, you barely get to see any alien let alone good alien action. Instead you get a lot of drama, whinging and whining, and lengthy scenes (10-15 mins) that are of no value to the story whatsoever.
If you like slow series and drama it might be for you, otherwise spend your time on something better.

No worries!
I did find another tv series called "Invasion" that is from 2005.
Set in Florida where something alien falls out of the sky after a hurricane, causing weird things to happen.
I've watched a few episodes last night and it's very promising so far!
There's only 1 season, and I do not know if with that the story was properly finished or if it wasn't renewed for a 2nd season.
But you could Google to find out.

Story of the aftermath of a hurricane in which water-based extraterrestrials infiltrate a small Florida town and begin to take over the bodies of the town's inhabitants through a cloning process.

Yeah, that's on my watch list too.
I decided to rewatch Star Trek Enterprize again.

Reacher TV series - 2022
Yep, series of the Jack Reacher books.
I read some reviews and most everyone said it was very good, much better than the movies, better Reacher than Tom Cruise, and better than the book even.

So... me started watching :p
And yup, it IS good! So far at least :)
The guy playing Reacher does a great job, and he is huge! Tall, wide shoulders, the works. And you get to see him in his undies, hahahaha.
Couldn't tell if that was a plus though, lol. (darker room and black undies)

Anywho, worth watching for sure!

Dirty Harry series. 5 movies. Clint Eastwood. I know that a lot of people will say those movies are so dated and there are many better movies since then. I still like it and it's worth watching.

The Hot Zone - 2019

On an Ebola outbreak in the US. It's based on a true story.
6 episodes - very much worth the watch!

Hang about... it has a season 2!

Now if there's a virus to worry about this sure as hell is it, pfff...
I knew that, but watching this and knowing there's still no cure...
And since we get monkeys from Africa to all western countries to serve as lab rats the chance of getting it in our countries does exist. It's how it got in the US to begin with in 1989.

The last outbreaks were in Congo 2018 -2020 and in 2021 another one there that lasted a few months. So it's very much alive and kicking.

Half a century after the first major outbreak in 1976 we still have no cure.

Stay Close

I just finished reading the book and now I'm binging the series. I don't like either very much. I'd give it a 4.

Yep, series of the Jack Reacher books.

I just started watching this (one episode so far), and it is absolutely my new fave show.

I'd give it a tiny edge over the books, and that's only because it's a little difficult to get the full impact of Reacher at work when you read the books. But Reacher on the screen....fire!!

Skyfire
Movie on a volcanic eruption on a holiday island.
The idea being a bit like Jurassic park, making money out of tourists, but then on a volcanic island.

Very watchable if you like to have something to watch for sheer entertainment. If you tend to get fussy about details and facts being right/wrong then this is not the movie for you.
I found it quite enjoyable.
Chinese movie, with a wee bit of English, and a few white faces too. Comes with subs.

Not sure if I'd mentioned it before as I have seen it before, but I think it's really good: Outlander. NOT related to the series at all.
2009 - movie - Jim Caviezel - Ron Perlman

Set in the Iron Age with the Norsemen but it is a SciFi.
Kainan crashes on Earth in this time and that place and is taken prisoner by the Norsemen. Unfortunately a vicious monster from the planet he came from was on his ship and also disembarked...

Vikings: Valhalla - 2022 - Netflix series
IMDB rating 6,2... mine would be much higher. 9 for sure.

Set after Ragnar Lothbrok and Brian Ironside, starting with the St Brice Day's Massacre of 1002.

Christianity has seeped strongly into Viking life and has divided them to the point of them killing each other for being either Christian or Pagan.
Angers me, nothing good came out of Christianity, but alas. It's history being shown.

Watched 3 episodes and it's really good!
