This is just another thread that begins with a false statement:

-------------------------------
flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou

Pray for the Holy spirit to give understanding:

The story points out that:

Jesus looked at this man and loved him. flowerforyou

Anyone who had more than food, clothing and shelter would have been considered rich.

Jesus did not criticize the man for being rich—He loved him.

Therefore it is obvious the great wealth was not the man’s problem but rather how it affected his relationship with God. As God is love, relationships are of prime importance to God.

If wealth was a problem how would the following have taken place::

Deuteronomy 8
18 “And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.”

Many of the people obviously approved by God in the Old Testament were wealthy. Job, Abraham, Jacob (Israel), and Solomon are good examples. If God wanted His “best” people to stay poor, would the following scene have taken place?

1 Kings 3
5 At Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said, “Ask! What shall I give you?”
6 And Solomon said: “You have shown great mercy to Your servant* David my father, because he walked before You in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with You; You have continued this great kindness for him, and You have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.
7 Now, O LORD my God, You have made Your servant king instead of my father David, but I am a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in.
8 And Your servant is in the midst of Your people whom You have chosen, a great people, too numerous to be numbered or counted.
9 Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?”
10 The speech pleased the LORD, that Solomon had asked this thing.

11 Then God said to him: “Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked long life for yourself, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice,

12 behold, I have done according to your words; see, I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has not been anyone like you before you, nor shall any like you arise after you.
13 And I have also given you what you have not asked: both riches and honor, so that there shall not be anyone like you among the kings all your days.

"He who has ears, let him hear"

None of these words are from the mouth of Jesus. This is also one small instance compared to so many that Jesus made clear in his words. Why cling to the one instead of the many from the mouth of God himself? The people you listed where kings, leaders of people. The wealth that they had was a communal wealth to be shared with the people that they lived with possibly. I don't think any of you are kings? ( although you live like them)
What about the Rich man that ends up in hell just for being Rich while Lazarus is in Heaven. This parable is so clear surely no one can distort it. You won't say that a needle is really a huge rock wall, or that the money changers were really thieves not people like us.

At what point do you stop changing the words and just trust that Jesus knew what he was saying?

Everything does not have to be from the mouth of Jesus! God spoke through many people that followed him and loved him. Jesus was with God before he became flesh. So let's just say Jesus spoke through God's messangers and be done with it. Ugh!

Ask yourself the same question - take everything in context.
Everything, not just a few words that you think that you can use to confuse or deceive others.

I do not believe that Jesus was God. I do however think he was a very smart teacher.
The people that defend his words as only some suggestion to be followed losley as long as you feel good inside. They do believe Jesus is God. If you believe he is God don't you think his words would be the corner stone dont you think that when he came to earth his words were already chosen carefully? Why do you think that he would say things in an ambiguous way? If he was God he would know that people could easily look past one statement. So he made many.
A rich man in Heaven is Harder then a Camel through a needle, the parable of the Rich man in hell and poor lazerus in heaven, if you want to be perfect give it all away and follow me, he tells the Rich man you follow the laws but now give awy your wealth and the rich man can't. Blessed are the poor, When did I see you o lord-what you do to the least you do to me.

I am the one lying? I am the one that does not understand. I refuse to deceive you and more importantly I refuse to deceive myself. The words of Jesus are clear. The interpretation saying they mean diffrent then what they say are very muddy.

Parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus
This is the parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus, spoken by Jesus in Luke 16:19-31.

Now there was a rich man, and he habitually dressed in purple and fine linen, joyously living in splendor every day.
And a poor man named Lazarus was laid at his gate, covered with sores, and longing to be fed with the crumbs which were falling from the rich man's table; besides, even the dogs were coming and licking his sores.

Lazarus and the rich man die
Now the poor man died and was carried away by the angels to Abraham's bosom; and the rich man also died and was buried.

Rich man's 1st plea
In Hades he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and saw Abraham far away and Lazarus in his bosom.
And he cried out and said, "Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus so that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool off my tongue, for I am in agony in this flame."

The Gulf
But Abraham said, "Child, remember that during your life you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus bad things; but now he is being comforted here, and you are in agony.
And besides all this, between us and you there is a great chasm fixed, so that those who wish to come over from here to you will not be able, and that none may cross over from there to us."

Rabbit you got the Bible thumpers there!

So the rich are going to hell. Can you imagine Don Trump with his millions of dollars, many marriges, and gambling casinos, not going to hell?

Yeah they see pretty quite about this one. I guess parables are more clear to them. Maybe Jesus knew what he was up to after all.

Rabbit...listen Precious......

God says in His Word, I would have you PROSPER, even as thy SOUL prospereth......

Now...listen my friend......carefully...cause the enemy of your soul has LIED to you enough about what God's Word REAllY SAYS!!

WHEN YOU PROSPER AS YOUR SOUL PROSERS , YOU ARE GOING TO HANDLE MONEY IN THE RIGHT SPIRIT...PLEASING TO GOD..AND USE IT WISELY..AND WILL ALSO GIVE WISELY AS GOD DIRECTS.

Read Luke 6:38
Give and it shall be Given.....(I'll let you go find the scripture and read the rest yousrelf )

ALso.. find this in the bible.
I let you look this up also ...

"God owns the cattle on a thousansd hills...."

Rabbit.....IF heaven is so rich, that it even has its streets paved in gold......
do you HONESTLY think that God is going to have a problem with you having wealth ..... here on earth?
NO!!!!

BUT....
it is HOW
you HANDLE your wealth that could be the problem. !!!
Not the HAVING of wealth.

Everyone wants to dance around the words Jesus actually said. There is no way to escape all of his quotes. The money changers, The camel, what you do to the least. It is one of the cornerstones if not thee corner stone.
If you think that you are not run by money then why do you let your government do things to people that are good for the bottom line monetarily but not caring for the poor?

You are the person that you talk about that would rather hold on to the few dollars that they have in this earth when it is clear it means nothing after death.

The words Jesus spoke are important. Not just some piece of the puzzle. If he is God then he is the KEY. His words are supream. His words are most important.

Yes Rabbit...God's Word is Supreme..and we Christians follow that Word.

Christians who Love God, and have a relationship with God, DO give to the poor, and give to God, out of LOVE for God and others.

When we put God before all things....out of LOVE for God, we Christians WANT to Give....and when we do, God just Blesses us back....and truthfully, a born again chrsitian is so in love with God...that if he were to not have anything, He would still want to Give!!
Praise God!!

God sees our heart, and blesses His people...even if we had nothing..we are still happy and Rich in just serving Him!!

Rabbit...when we truly have the Lord in our lives we do all the things God wants us to do..out of LOVE for Him, and not because we have to.

We WANT to PLEASE GOD!!!

And btw, the christian churhes DO give to the poor..everywhere.

And also, churches today ARE waking up and falling in love with Jesus..and God's people are coming together in One Accord....denominations are meeting and inviting all denominatiions to join them to worship together.......we meet in each others churches..and instead of looking at our differenecs, we are beginning to now just worship our Lord together!!!

I see this happening everywhere....DEAD churchs are WAKING up....and coming together and becoming on fire for God!!sad sad sad
(tears of pure joy and thankfulness)

Rabbit...I pray you will accept Jesus...there is no greater Joy.
And everything else will fall in place for you.
When you put Jesus first, He will bless you..just because He loves to Bless His people!

And when you come to Jesus, you will WANT to give and give and give and give...cause Jesus living in your heart puts that DESIRE there..to love and give to others.
And to God.

A christians walk with the Lord Jesus is a LOVE walk !!!

And Rabbit..whern a christian gives, guess what....God will just keep giving it back to you..cause He loves you and wants you to propser.

And even when a nonchristian gives, God still multiplies it back... ...cause there is a principle at work here also.

But do you know what happenes in the heart of a christian, when God gives back to us?

A christian gives it right back to God, once more.
And God gives it back again, mulitplied.

And a christian now has even more to give....so he gives back to God and gives to help others once more....

Each time a christian gives, God gives more....and multiplies our giving. Then we have MORE to give back, and to help others with.

one thing quite clear here is that the Rich man still refused God.

He did NOT ask to be removed from where he was, instead he was thinking only in the moment, his own selfish and prideful needs.

His focus his still in the wrong place. That is why it is difficult for him to get to heaven. His focus is not on God.

--------------

The message of Jesus, who I believe is God, is still the same.
The focus on a relationship with God is what matters, not whether a person is rich or poor.

The bible does not say that it is a sin to be rich.

Getting a little side tracked here but I have to address it because it shows how far off of Gods message you are. You somehow believe that God is going to make Good Christians prosper. Lets just look at the Christian Black slave in America. surely you do not think that these people were all bad Christians with out the "light" of Jesus in them. A majority of them were Christians and they did not prosper at all. God does not give wealth in this world and it is just that easy to prove.

Just look at the words of Jesus with truth in your mind and you will understand. His message is obvious and clear. Harder for a Rich man then a Camel, Parable of the Rich man in hell looking up at Lazerus, what you do to the least you do to me, anger at the money changers. It is all there. Add to it the sin of sodem and gomorah.

Rabbit... there are people of the world who are rich...that DON"T know God..and have made MONEY their God.
True.
And God WILL deal with them.
Just as God dealt with the rich man who did not care for the poor man in the bible.
See..that man in the bible who did not care fro the poor, made MONEY his God!!
Not God His God.

But Rabbit.....The true Christians who KNOW God ....and have Made GOD their God instead of WEALTH their God , WANT to GIVE to God and to the poor.
And God BLESSES them more.

See Rabbit... a christian may have wealth..but the wealth doesn't have the christian!!
Follow?

Once more..so this gets through....

A Christian may Have wealth... but the Wealth does NOT have the Christian!
NOT if he is a true christian.
...cause a true christian blessed with wealth, WANTS to GIVE!!!!
Cause God LIVES in that Christian's heart!!!!

And one more thing...God KNOWS whom He can TRUST with His Money and Wealth!!!
Yes....God's Money.
Cause Wealth Comes from God!!!
God Owns It All.....Everything!!!!~!
God owns the cattle on a thousand hills...Remember?

God Blesses those whom He KNOWS WILL GIVE...and NOT HORDE upon Himself!!!!
God knows a man's heart !!!!!!

And those who DO horde upon themselves what God is given?
They have to answer to God one day!!
That's between them and God.

You focus on YOUR walk with God now, Rabbit.
Get YOUR walk right with God, first..before focusing on others.

I cannot speak for others here...I can only speak for myself, for what I am about to share.

The Lord did Not call me here ,as a Christian.......
to keep sharing and rehashing ... over and over and over..to those WHO WILL NOT HEAR!!!

NO!!!

The Gospel is for those WHO WILL HEAR!!

Either You Choose to Hear and Believe.... or Not.
Your Choice.

We Christians Are Here..But Not By Accident....to Share the Good News On this Forum.

God is Giving You Opportunity to Hear....
So You Have NO Excuse now, Should you choose NOT to Hear.

I....and Other Christians here.... have been Faithful to Share the Good News ...Out of Love For You All.

The Rest is Up To You Now.

But I for one, Will NOT Keep Rehashing.
God did Not Call me here to Do That.

God Only Called me here to Share....not Keep Rehashing.

For those Here..Who Would Have Ears to hear, I Stay...Because of You.
But Not to Answer to Any More Foolishness here.

That was Spider's Point in his Thread.

We Christians, Don't Mind SHARING and HEARING YOUR BELIEFS ALSO.....As Long as We All Can All Share with Maturity...but again..I for one, will not answer to Foolishness any longer.

Enough is Enough.

God Bless You All.

I actually always re-read my statement so I understand what the person is referring too.
