Some movies should be watched several times. Little odd things show up that you might not have caught the first time. Like, the hiding of the rock hammer in Shawshank Redemption. You see the cutout of it, in Dufresne's bible. On the page before, he starts it on the chapter named Exodus.

I've started to watch some with closed captioning. It's not so much I'm hard of hearing. Some movie audio is lousy. Some talk too fast, or a conversation gets muddy sounding because people get to talking over one another. I've found, in some, that the dialog becomes clearer once I read it.

First two weeks of going to high school got me to counting off the days until I graduated from high school.

Once I did, it felt like I got paroled. Now, just how many ex-cons would like to go back to prison just to reminisce? Very few I say.

Go to a reunion? How special stupid do you think I am?

I personally don't find pregnant women sexy.

I suppose that some guys do, because they want kids anyway. I've met a few, and they say without hesitation, that they fathered children. Yay for you. I never based my manhood on just that. I am not impressed with you.

Wanna impress me? Stick around after the kids born. Man up and provide for the kid and the mother. Park your drinking, carousing, and activities outside the family you created, and be a husband and father.

Date a pregnant woman? You don't know what can of worms you stepped into. Off hand, I'd say you're not much better than the guy that got her that way. He didn't stay, I'd bet you won't ether.

Saw a good one the other day.

I was going to work, stopped at an intersection waiting for the signal to change. A guy, by himself, pulls up in his car beside me. Mask on, windows rolled up, he's smoking. He PULLS the mask down, takes a hit off the cigarette, then PUTS his mask back up! And exhales through the mask!

I have laughed about that, for the last couple days. I wouldn't have believed that one unless I actually saw it for myself.laugh laugh laugh

That I was exceptionally flexible. I reached into a Volvo semitractor, and inserted the top bolt into the starter. Yeah, I know, doesn't sound so earth shattering, does it?

Until you see what I didn't see, which was the starter itself. That one is all tucked in under five hoses and two wiring cables. The two guys that semi-regularly work on them, had never saw anyone do that before. I'd never done it before, myself. It was done all by feel. And I had to retrieve the dropped bolt off the top of the starter, which no one could see where it was dropped.

Nope, not an earth shattering event. I'm not even a trained mechanic. I just like doing seemingly impossible tricks few can do.

JFK wouldn't fit in the Democrat party today.

In January 1963, Kennedy presented Congress with a tax proposal that would reduce the top marginal tax rate.....today Democrat party want to raise the top marginal tax rate.

In his inaugural address that John F. Kennedy said "ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country".....today's Democrat party promote the exact opposite idea of asking what your country can do for you.

JFK believed in military strength, reducing taxes and exerting American influence around the globe in the name of freedom which is the "peace through strength" principle......s principle that today's Democrat party rejects.

JFK was considered a "liberal" Democrat when he was elected, his beliefs and values would make him an evil conservative by today's Democrat party.

Personally I don't think if JFK wasn't assassinated it would have stopped the radicals on left from hijacking the liberal moniker while promoting governmental CONTROL which destroys personal freedom which is the cornerstone of liberalism. The left, and seemingly the Democrat party today, want people to be dependent on government because they are easier to control than independent people who don't have to rely on government .....much the way young children are more easily controlled than young adult children who earn their own money.
It might be possible to think that had Kennedy lived, the dems might be an entirely different party today.

Speculating that "What if?" never changes anything. Care to ponder this one-Kennedy was supposedly shot at three times. One bullet passed through two people, causing some damage to both. The last bullet shattered his skull, and left fragments in his skull. So, what's my point? Two people shot him with different weapons. (The last one was from a high powered weapon)

Am I the only person who doesn't care about people's height.

I don't care either, as long as my man is a bit taller than me.
And friends should be at least 1.72m.
I don't like my neck to get upset just because of socialising or being with my man.

You don't care but, " as long as my man is a bit taller than me.
And friends should be at least 1.72m." ???????

5'8" (at least)

I think that non-white people are more concerned about racism than white people themselves. white people live their life as nothing is going on, but non-whites especially black people always seem to be interested in the racism topic. FORGET ABOUT RACISM AND WHITE PEOPLE AND JUST BE HAPPY IN YOUR LIFE FOR Christ sake! white people are not as concerned about racism as non-whites are.

If you had to work harder than someone of a different skin color just because of your skin color,
would you be okay with that?
Since I work hard, and pay no attention to how others work, why should I care?

It's just a hint of what's to come after their kid is born. New topics of conversation will come out of them. Like, baby Throckmorton hit his diaper when he took his first dump. He belched without spitting up, isn't that wonderful? He wanted to cuddle up to the dog, right after the dog went outside and rolled in something dead. How adorable! What life insurance plan should I buy for baby Throckmorton? We bought all of the baby's furniture at Ikea!

That's what I expect people to talk about when they joyfully proclaim-

We're pregnant!

Almost. Two men robbed my credit union. They were waiting for me to leave. After I drove out and away, they went in and robbed it. Clearly they lacked smarts. The two jerks ran away, never thinking they left foot tracks in the fresh snow. Police just followed the footprints to a house two blocks away.

All 3 Jumanji movies.
L.A. Confidential.
The Bank Job. That had Jason Statham in it.
Heist. Gene Hackman, I like most of the movies he made.
Runaway Train.
Unstoppable.
The Getaway. Both versions.
Sahara. The one with Matthew MaConaughey, but I also liked the one with Humphrey Bogart.
U571
Flight of the Phoenix. Both of those.
All of the goofy Tremors movies.
Them!
The Shawshank Redemption. Both had James Whitmore in it.

That I won't attempt to be any woman's boyfriend. Even if you ask me.

I cook, leave my kitchen clean, and my drinking glasses would make any woman envious.

He's dirty. He had the chance to send patients to fed run facilities. Instead, he put them in nursing homes. Makes me wonder how much money he was getting in kickbacks when he sent them there. He probably wouldn't get a nickle had he used the government offered him.

I have. But I have yet to meet one that didn't have some extra baggage to cope with. A couple I met would get mad over their weight, and find some way to aim their mad at me, because I'm slim.

I'm skeptical.

I've drawn the conclusion that tall slim men aren't wildly successful daters. More is expected of them. They aren't allowed to be "Just average"

Would have to be my grandfather. He had patience that I was really envious of. I saw him study a Rubic's cube, and solve it in under 5 minutes, he never messed it before. He was a senior resident engineer at two different car plants, and had invented certain things within carburetors that made engines start and run smoothly. All from a man that never finished 7th grade.

I think the best thing he proved, is that a college degree doesn't make a person smart.

I live in the boonies also. Curtains, I hate 'em. I don't mind light coming in my bedroom window. It gets light out, I wake up, no alarm clock for me. I live about a mile from a gravel pit, it runs all night in the summer. (weeknights) Puts me right to sleep. Been on trips, camped in campgrounds near the interstate. Semis going by, lights out for me. I sometimes clean out apartments for a landlord friend of mine. Each one, I believe they should live in basements. None of them ever open curtains, some go so far as to block up the windows with paper or cardboard.
I'm not a cave dweller.
