Topic: What Movie(s) Always Sucks You In? | |
---|---|
Say yer flippin thru the channels and you come across a movie and it sucks you in every time?
You've seen it many times but you just can't seem to change the channel. For me, there are many, many movies which suck me in. One such movie, for me is, The Shawshank Redemption. Its the kind of movie if I watch it, time disappears and I look up and wonder where the time went? |

The Creature From The Black Lagoon was the first monster movie I remember watching all the way thru. It scared the crap out of me. Now, all these years later, all the monsters I've seen, The Creature designs still give me the freak.

The Creature From The Black Lagoon was the first monster movie I remember watching all the way thru. It scared the crap out of me. Now, all these years later, all the monsters I've seen, The Creature designs still give me the freak. I Googled that and eeewwww. I haven't seen the movie, so not seen it move, just B&W photos, and it gave me the creeps, hihi. Meaning... not going to watch that movie. Ever. |

Transcendence always grabs my attention. I love how they portray nanotechnology. I find mind uploading interesting. I'm not a huge fan of Johnny Depp but the science fiction is spot on for me.
Time Trap is another film I can watch anytime. I love how they did the concept of the Fountain of Youth and how it works. Also love the concept of time chambers. Brilliant science fiction. |

Any Godzilla movie sucks me in everytime.
The first movie my dad took me to see was Godzilla vs. The Thing (1964) and I've been hooked on Godzilla movies ever since. I have every godzilla movie in original Japanese plus the Americanized dubbed ones. I have the Gozilla Power hour cartoon series and the gino Godzilla series. I also have the recent Godzilla Planet trilogy. While Godzilla movies always suck me in, I like the Legendary Monsterverse films best and I can't wait to see Godzilla VS Kong in 3d. Peter Jackson's King Kong also sucks me in. Especially the Vrex scenes. Alien and Aliens do too. Not impressed with the other ones in the series. If I see a reference to Avatar I have to watch it in full. I have the blue ray extended version and I have to watch it from the beginning. It never gets old either. Altered is another film which never gets old for me. Sadly I have to admit to needing to watch those low budget syfy original type movies. I hate them but must watch them. Yes, even those awful The Asylum productions. Anything from Mel Brooks and National Lampoon are must watch movies. The remake of Total Recall has been grabbing my attention lately. If I watch the original I need to watch the remake. Don't really care for the others. The Wizard of OZ is a must watch if I catch it during the black & white segment. Chips (2017) is a must watch and so is Baywatch (2017). Too funny. |
