Every first date should be memorable.
Nobody really knows if it will lead to a second date. What if it leads to a lifetime together? You have raised a family together. You have fourteen grandkids. Now you're sitting on the porch with her. You're enjoying a sunset together. And she says, "Remember our first date?" You better have remembered every detail or fake a heart attack. But you better do it soon because she's waiting for an answer. |

flowers may be a bit akward if she has to carry them around...save it for next time when you get to pick her up at her home... Maybe she could rock the wrist corsage...something colourful but not too fragrant like old-lady perfume. |

Friends First

Friendship is definatley the foundation to a good relationship. However, its the spontanious combustion, instant chemistry that gets me every time. I hate it when guys combust on a date. People in restaurants tend to frown on that But nobody will complain about cigar smoke if there's a dude on fire in the middle of the restaurant |

"Wise men say...only fools rush in".
If you don't have a sense of who they really are and what the date would be like then it might be too early to make a date with them. Even after dating exclusively for a period of time and you still don't have a sense of who they really are and what living together would be like then it might be too early to make that commitment. I'm not saying that I've always got one foot out the door but I don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows. |

An ex GF was an executive assistant at an oil company and one of her responsibilities was liaison to subcontractors like IT pros. One particular IT guy was constantly making dumb mistakes with their network servers which made everyone in the building to call her and request IT support. The guy's name is Todd and one email I got from her detailing his latest screw-up the subject line read, "RE: Todd IT" and that said it all...
say it like re todd it |

Are there any disco bars left? lol Used to be lot of fun. I'm not old, I'm not old, I'm not old...... You can transform any bar into a DISCO Just give your Donna Summer records to the DJ and get on the dance floor in your satin pants and stiletto heels and shake it |

It's more a reflection on them than it is on you.
Men or women that are only attracted to much younger people might only be making a desperate attempt to re-capture their youth. |

I've been on Mingle...

Mingle is an outlet for me to socialize outside of my usual circle. People I've met throughout my career continue to alter my greater view of life in general and help to spark ideas that further my career.
Lately though, the jobs that occupy most of my time are quite technical and clinical in nature which has stagnated the creativity that I used to live and breathe. The forums here are great! Some of the posts I've read run the gamut from provocative to ethereal and in some ways have served as a muse to get me excited about trying new things related to photography. When someone starts a thread that poses a question to this community there is an amazingly diverse response but every response has something the OP can learn from. It's that drilling down into the core of those responses that got me thinking about macro photography and the use of invisible light to explore the possibilities of exposing the minute details of ordinary things that otherwise go unnoticed. It's almost another dimension of consciousness. |

I can totally relate. I never thought I could live without a car. However, living in Mex. I realized that it has the best transit system Ive ever seen. I can walk out my door and grab a bus or cab in 2 mins. It made me realize how a car isnt a neccesity rather a luxury and one I cant bring myself to pollute the planet for.At least not just me alone. I also became very interested in passive electricity once you start to research its horrible! So now, I have everything running through energy saver power bars which are shut off when not in use. I cant change the world but I can tidy up my corner. Here's to you People with a social conscience that see the big picture will make the difference in the next hundred years. I want to leave something for my babies besides tatters Do you think every generation had this responsibility? For the most part, my parents always had a social conscience for everyday situations like not pouring cooking grease down the kitchen sink or pulling pollution control equipment off the family truckster to get better fuel mileage. I'll paraphrase what you said about keeping your own corner of world tidy. It's a lot of little things people can do without sacrificing anything that all adds up to make a huge difference. ...like walking to the bar |

Then again we also are having increased vulcanism and that farts out gigantic amounts of CO2.
Vulcanism? Spock is out of control!! I know you meant volcanic activity but humans produce 100 times more CO2 per year than volcanic eruptions. There is actually a period of global cooling after a major eruption like Mt Pinatubo in 1991 But seriously, as China's population becomes more materialistic they will probably want the same number of cars on the road per capita as Americans then they will be producing more CO2 than Americans. BTW Americans produce more greenhouse gasses than any other country... |

They say 350ppm of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere means we can prevent runaway climate change.
Unfortunately we haven't seen 350ppm since 1988 and CO2 has been increasing by 2% per year since then. The consensus is we are past the point of solving our problems by trading in our Hummer for a Prius or changing our light bulbs. There is a global grassroots movement of 1077 groups in 109 countries that are planning work parties for Oct 10, 2010 (10/10/10) to send a message to their legislators. I'm curious what everyone here has planned or is doing to help decrease their carbon footprint. If you're curious about what you can do visit www.350.org/map and find out what's happening near your home. |

MEN V.S. WOMEN

WHY IS IT THAT WHEN A WOMAN CHEATS THE GUY THINKS SHE'S THE BIGGEST WHORE.BUT WHEN HE DOES IT IT'S OK.WHAT DO YOU THINK? my mom once gave me a good advice on this subject, if you cheat never let the other one know,so no one gets hurt emotionally, what a person does not know can't hurt em right.. and ur relationship stays intact, meanwhile u do what u gotta do,just do it as discreet as possible another good advice..is never tell ur partner the truth, like even if ur girl catches u with someone in bed if u tell her ain't nothing happened, then in her mind nothing did happen,as long as id don't come out from ur mouth nothing did happen..u feel me ? Thing is over time being with the same person can infact get boring,so instead of ending the relationship u strenghthen it by having a girl on the side..My pop is away on business trips a lot..only thing my mom can do is trust him, she knows how ladies fall for my pop.. but like she said as long as she doesn't know about it, it's all good... a bit of topic I know just thought I share a bit of my wizdom with u all :) PS both men and women are equally human, both have needs.. doesn't make any of the party a whore.. not everyone can be committed to just one person, everyone is different..in their perception of things You do realize that you just blocked yourself from 95% of the ladies from this site. It's Darwin's Law of natural selection in action |
