How were you Babtised?

By immersion into the Mormon church at the age of 8, against my wishes &
my Grandmother's as well. It was a horrid experience. I later, as an adult, requested they excommunicate me. Which they did. I never considered forcing my beliefs on my children. Peace, love & wisdom |

My mothers diamond earrings that she gave to me before she passed on. I
only take them off to clean them. I also carry a piece of Apache Tear, a piece of Malachite & a marble in my pocket {just in case I feel as if I am about to lose my last marble, I know exactly where it is}. I also wear a sterling silver chain with 3 symbols of my philosophical inclinations. And all 8 of my tattoos have special & significant meaning behind them. Peace, love & wisdom |

I am keeping to a simple list of my "buttons".
1} Stupidity, not to be confused with ignorance. 2} Intolerance of others. 3} Littering. 4} Lack of self-control. 5} The condemnation of others simply because they choose not to see things the way you do. 6} Being judgemental. 7} Ill mannered people. 8} Double negatives & improper use of the english language by those who should know better. 9} Chewing with your mouth open! YICK!! 10} Assuming anything. 11} Reacting instead of being pro-active. 12} Hypocrites. 13} Lying. & I am sure there are more, but those are my biggest pet peeves. Peace, love & wisdom |

And on that note I am out of here, before anyone gets their knickers in
a twist. And before I get myself in more trouble for being sarcastic. G'night to you as well massage~~~as always, a pleasure to "see" you. Take care!! Peace, love & wisdom |

I think the problems came when one person changed from what they were to
something new & different. I have encountered many people who have "found Jesus" & they are as bad as a person who has quit smoking. They feel it is their duty to make sure everyone they come in contact with sees things their way. Once again, everyone has the right to believe as they choose & no one path is for everyone. Allowing others to be themself & believe as they choose is one of the greatest gifts you can give. Peace, love & wisdom In conclusion ~~ Found Jesus? I wasn't aware that Jesus was lost. All apologies, I couldn't resist! |

It all comes down to acceptance and if not that at the very least,
tolerance of others & respect for their personal rights. I raised 2 children to be knowledgable & to have the confidence to make their own choices. I would never presume to choose for them, nor would I lead them in any direction. That is an adult decision that should be made by one's self. It should never be made for you when you are a child. Maybe I feel that way because the choice was made for me as a child & I no longer follow that path, but respect those who do. Peace, love & wisdom |

Consider this~~~which would you rather be on the road driving
with~~~people who have been smoking marijuana or people have been drinking alcohol? People smoking marijuana do not see themself as invinsible, do not exceed the speed limits & have not been known to cause traffic fatalities. They are actually more aware of their surroundings instead of being blindly drunk to them. Peace, love & wisdom |

I came to think the way I do & follow the philosophy I follow through
many years of reading, learning & studying many different paths. I then, after being well informed & educated, chose the one that was right for me. Peace, love & wisdom |

My youngest daughter had leukemia & it was a rough road, but she survived. She endured numerous rounds of I.V. chemo & was on oral chemotherapy for almost 2 years. The prescription medication they gave her did nothing to help the nausea. There were many, many times she could not eat & if she did, it didn't stay down for long. I was never much of a "smoker", but that was the one thing that helped her. She would just sit near me as I would "smoke" a little & it would calm her tummy & make her able to keep food down. So I guess when I "smoked" (which I no longer do), it was truly for medicinal purposes only & not for myself, but for my wonderful, precious daughter. Peace, love & wisdom |

All of the "intelligent" species on the planet alter their reality.
Primates especially. By eating fermented fruits, hallucinogenic seeds from plants, etc.. In my opinion if alcohol is legal marijuana should be as well. Besides, marijuana has actual medicinal purposes unlike alocohol. Ask anyone going through chemotherapy or radiation treatments for cancer. Peace, love & wisdom |

It would seem that people in here cannot agree on pretty much anything,
so why would a marriage or relationship be any different? I think it all boils down to accepting others for what they are or choose to be & letting it go. I would never try to persuade anyone to walk the path I have chosen. They have the right to be self informed & choose for themself & nobody has the right to shove their beliefs at anyone. A quote I find very appropriate is "Your right to throw your fist ends where my nose begins." I have dated & been involved in serious relationships with others who do not believe the way I do & we respected each other & never tried to convert each other. If I ever would see a relationship headed toward the other person trying to persuade me into following their chosen path, I would walk away. I will not change my values, beliefs or philosophies to suit or please anyone & would never expect that from someone else. Peace, love & wisdom |

I was raised Mormon. My younger sister is still Mormon. The Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the original Mormon church. There is at least reorginized church. I have not been involved with the church for many years now, but I do remember much of the teachings & beliefs. It is not true that only members can attend your wedding. The only way that would be fact is if you are married in a temple & non members are not allowed inside a Mormon temple. Most have 2 ceremonies, one in the temple & one in the church, the latter of which anyone may attend. Once you are married in the tmeple, you wear temple garments under your clothing at all times. There are many things done within the temple including baptisms & work for the deceased. They also believe that your body is a "temple" and you cannot do anything to harm it, which includes no drinking alcohol, no smoking & no intake of caffeine. I hope this answers some of your questions. The LDS church has a website from which you can learn more if you wish to gain more insight into this religion. Peace, love & wisdom |

SIN???

Appreciating the less complicated things in life is what makes it special & worthwhile. And sex is about as basic as it gets. A persons sex drive is the second highest instinct, only preceeded by the will to survive. |

If sex was not meant/made to feel good & make everyone want to do it,
our species would have come to an end long ago. Just my opinion & I know this will start a brawl, but sex should never be considered a "sin" & according to the path I walk, it is not. Not to mention it is a great stress reliever & a fun form of excersize! |

Kindness toward everyone.
Acceptance of those who are different than you are. Understanding the beliefs of others. Knowledge of the things around you. Peace of mind. Realization that you cannot change the world to suit your own personal views. Love of yourself & others. Honesty with yourself. |
