I have a thundering herd, the largest of which I am afraid to weigh!! He
is huge, named Binx, but lovingly nick-named Buffy, short for Buffalo!! I definitely thought of him when I read this & had to share it with other cat lovers. |

1~~Has more chins than lives.
2~~Enormous furry gut keeps your hardwood floors freshly buffed. 3~~He only catches mice that get trapped in his gravitational pull. 4~~It’s no longer safe to lift him without a spotter. 5~~Luxurious, shiny black fur replaced with mint green polyester pantsuit. 6~~No longer cleans herself unless coated in Cheese Whiz. 7~~Fifteen month gestation period, and still no kittens. 8~~Fewer calls to the fire department, but a sudden upsurge in broken branches. 9~~Confused guests constantly mistaking her for beanbag chair. 10~~Cat door retrofitted with garage-door opener. |

A dilemma

Once again, just my opinion ~~~ All people, children included, should be
educated & knowledgable of all religions/philosophies. That is how we make an educated & wise choice. Not everyone chooses the same path & all choices should be respected. |

The Brain: from Pinky & the Brain. He had goals, although never
achieved, he had goals & worked very hard & went above & beyond to obtain them. Plus his I.Q. was astounding, especially for a mouse!! |

Top 5 pleasures in no particular order, although none include any
feelings of guilt. 1* Clove cigarettes 2* Anything chocolate {which appears to be a common factor for women} 3* Jose Cuervo {now there's a man with a plan} 4* My cats & dogs 5* Life & all the pleasure it brings |

****giggles @ Kosher**** I am pretty sure the placement of my copy is
not even close to Kosher. But then again, consider the source. But it is not dusty either. |

I truly enjoy reading everyone's comments & opinions in the "religion"
threads. As for the bible, my opinion, it is a history book & one must remember that the "winners" write the books. It should also be remembered that it has been translated numerous times & we all should understand that things do get lost in the translation. I find it very sad & disheartening that so many people throughout the past 2,000+ years have been killed because of this book. Few other literary works can claim such a bloody legacy. Which to me, makes the "thou shall not kill" statement incomplete. Maybe it should have read "thou shall not kill, unless it is because someone does not have the same religious beliefs set forth in this book." As far as mass production/distribution.....haven't the Gideons been there & did that? Just my opinions, please, try not to get your knickers in a twist. |

Angry? Defensive? I think you hit the preverbial nail right on the head
here. The attitudes you commented on are exactly the reason that so many innocent people throughout history have been killed for the sake of "religion". Veyr sad, I think & totally uncalled for. |

My sincerest condolences. I can relate to what you are going through. I
lost my Mother & Grandmother within 9 months of each other, to the exact date. Just speaking from my experiences, I have never truly gotten over that. The pain does leesen in many ways, but in other ways it becomes greater as time goes by. Although it has been many years, 30 years to be exact, & I no longer feel the intense feeling of loss, I do miss them more as each day passes. The one thing I always know is that even though they are gone, the memories will always remain. I am comforted by remembering all the things we did together & all of the loving & fun times we shared. That is something that nobody can ever take from me. I also found it very theraputic, so to speak, to begin a journal. It does not contain my day to day life experiences, but does hold all the treasured memories of my family. I began this for myself, but quickly realized that I was saving all these memories for my children & their children. Sometimes the little things get forgotten. This way, I feel I have saved some of my most precious memories. There are times I sit & read through it, laughing & crying at the same time. I will share the poem that I wrote on the first page of my journal. I find it to be absolutely beautiful. Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints of snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning hush. I am the swift uplifting rush, Of quiet birds in circled light. I am the soft star that shines in the night. Do not stand at my grave and cry. I am not there, I did not die. May your memories always comfort you & make you smile. |
