Good Morning everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is a glorious Saturday here ......sun is shining and the day is going to be beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!! Murky, overcast day here. Couldn't finish mowing the lawn yesterday and was hoping for today. Most likely will settle for mowing it wet and nasty. I'm jealous... Sending sun rays your direction........ -sniff sniff- I'd feel better if you would mow the wet lawn,,, |

Yes of course I didn't mean that there was some magical number of age that suddenly made us all knowing. It was asked if being older and wiser meant that we know faster what we want when we see it. Hell, I'm getting tuned in enough to cut it off at phone calls and Emails now. |

When you meet someone, do you know if he/she is the one faster than you did when you were say 21 or 28? Do you feel being older, that you can more easily and quickly know when the right one comes along? Hmmm, age being the deciding factor, no. Having learned from experience, yes. Having recorded quirks, misrepresentations, missing links, unexplained occurrences and idiosyncracies, absolutely... |

Aww that's lame. I have had that happen a few times and they both seemed to come up with pretty lame excuses So, me showing up after that in a wheelchair in a body cast got no sympathy out of you? I thought it was the best one I'd come up with to date! |

That's not how it works, Odie!!!! Sweetie, you need to read the rules on the first page and keep posting so that the Match Maker can match you with several others............. Whoa, "several"? All I want is ONE mean b*tch that smells bad, doesn't speak English, smokes crack, drinks like a fish and lives 2000 miles away... "Several?" |

I lost my Buddy today

That would be wonderful to know. He was so funny...he used to jump on my dog's back when she would fall asleep and scare the dog, and then of course Pip would have to laugh. As for the vet...my daughter went straight to the net and filed a complaint with Peta....probably won't do anything, but if a vet knows that an animal is dying, they should want to help...lets you know which ones are in it for the money, and which of them actually care. And so sorry about your Coco I'm thinking that if you want results that can be measured, you're better off doing these two things... Go to the newpapers and radio for your locale and express your feelings, situation and evident lack of concern on her part (you did say the vet was a woman, right?). Make sure all friends and acquaintences are aware of your circumstances and tell them if they value their pet, maybe they shouldn't be one of her clients. |

CNN.com recently reprinted an article from Health.Com about the flu shot. This article cites medical professionals and researchers who aren’t comfortable with the ingredients found in the flu shot. In fact, one chemical, a preservative called thimerosal, is banned in vaccinations and medications in various U.S. States including California, New York and Delaware. Yet the majority of flu shot manufacturers still use thimerosal as a preservative. The concern is that thimerosal is about 50% mercury and the link between mercury and Autism is still undetermined. Although there are some flu shots available that don’t have mercury, they are a minority and usually are only available by special request. In addition to the concern regarding thimerosal, there are other ingredients in the flu shots that are questionable: formaldehyde, monosodium glutamate (MSG), ethylene glycol (also found in antifreeze) and aluminum. In fact, various studies have shown that individuals who have more than five flu shots in consecutive years are 10 times more likely to get Alzheimer’s due to Aluminum toxicity. (One such study was conducted by Dr. Hugh Fudenberg, Founder and Director of Research, NeuroImmuno Therapeutic Research Foundation) The debate or main topic of this post was about the government intervening in a childs life to save it against the parents rights to develope that child. This pertains to it how? |

New 'prisoner abuse' photographs emerge despite US bid to block publication http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/barackobama/5325444/New-prisoner-abuse-photographs-emerge-despite-US-bid-to-block-publication.html Again, don't click on this article, because it will pi$$ you off , there is torture picture from Guantanamo prison, that Obama doesn't want to be put out for public. I see why now. The entire Bush government is a criminal and no better than nazis. I checked your profile and it appears you were in the military. Are you against "alternative means" to get needed information from terrorists or "enemy combatants"? You think, people who were in the military approve torture? My brother is an Iraq vet and he is the most outspoken person against the war. He published a book and been in local newspapers about it. Most anti-war, anti-torture people are the vets, because they seen it and know it how bad it is and how not right. Point one: Ah,,, you're not a vet? Point two: I myself disagree with the pretense on which THIS war was based. Point three: I agree with your brother's right to voice his opinion and his courage. THIS WAR is wrong by standards of the worlds opinion and mine. Point four: You are lumping anti-war voices and anti-torture voices together, an assumption of alliance which is poorly used to back up an opinion that is not necessarily the majority. Point five: Whichever party YOU align yourself with, you can not be happy now just by the contents of your post. Point six: Would you like to debate the other post I made? Point seven: The "most outspoken" person of the Iraq war didn't participate in it. Regards, Y&Im1 |

Very few nations observe Geneva convention or humane treatment protocol for prisoners during wartime.
I will most likely be chastised for this but I was in the Marine Corps. There are ways to get information from individuals who are stubborn. Sometimes it is necessary to extract information that is vital to preventing something from happening that may severely outweigh one combatants "rights". Do I believe in taking appendages or taking away functions like eyesight or hearing? No I honestly have no problems with other "alternative means of information retrieval though. The old adage is... "I will die for my country and it's citizens to remain free" What I was taught was... I will kill the enemy if necessary for my right to remain free" When you start to think about how cruel Americans might have been in treatment of the enemy, try to remember the visuals of people being beheaded or shot point blank over there (Iraq/Afghanistan). Now, to feel the anger and hatred an American soldier may feel, visualize that person being one of your chidren and see if you can sympathize ... |

ok, I understand the whole choice thing for adults, but, I have thought of this before, where do these people think these treatments and cures etc.. come from,,, God has given the human race a way to take care of ourselves. God gave us the knowledge and ability to learn and help eachother, and those who dont see that, I feel sad for them!! I am not religious in any way other than I believe there is an entity that deserves my respect and thanks for creating this chain reaction which is Earth and Man. I believe you're right in that God gave us the ability to think, ponder and discover what is possible. She's blessed us... |
