My first grandchild was born this evening (after being overdue since last sunday).... and He (yes, grandson) is healthy and doing fine. I'll see him tomorrow morning Unfortunately his daddy (my son) won't be able to see him because of deployment, but that is military life
Awwwww. Congrats :) I hope she wasn't in that much pain during the birth. A baby is so life-changing. In a good way.
His mommy did the epidural thing. But I gather that the last hour or so were still difficult. All moms go through it, she's fine now. You're right, babies are life-changing. Even when you think you're prepared

Congrats and I am sad that your son won't see him. I hope he returns home soon to see that baby boy!!! Yes, I know. But he did see the baby on Skype. Modern electronics are a wonder these days. Thanks for the safe return thoughts

     WOOHOOO welcome to granny-dom
so? did it bring back memories when you held him?? mine's just starting his 'cuddling' stage.. awwwwww.. he's sooo cute.. congrats again my dear.. enjoy'em while they're young
oh yeah.. gotta love that baby smell too.. simply heavenly
It brought back so many memories. But all five of my children were blonde. This one has a full set of hair and is dark brown like his mommy. I'll wait for the baby smell after his bath when he gets home. I was just grateful there was no hospital (or diaper) smell when I visited him today

Wanna share with us his name? :) I wish I could His father is an officer in the military and he is named after him. So he'll just be my "grandson" here.

My first car was a 1978 Mustang II (Ghia edition).

It looked like this EXCEPT mine was white with the same color vinyl roof (Saddle color if I remember right). I loved that car!! it was about three years old when I bought it. My payments were $145 a month.
I had it for many years, but then the kids didn't fit into it anymore and it just wasn't a practical family car then I passed it on to a younger sister. She had it for a year or two and then it went to Mustang heaven
I used to think it looked kind of like the smaller version of a Monte Carlo?

Your first step is to open up a photobucket account (or a public photo storage equivalent that Mingle accepts).

In the Forums when you post a reply, while keeping that open...open up another folder to go to photobucket (or it's equivalent) The following instructions are for photobucket as it's all I know/have: Once you have an account and upload pics to there all you have to do is Left Click on the picture you want to put on Mingle. To the right of the picture will be a box. In that box (Links to share this photo) will be several choices. Left Click the: IMG line. (it should blink and say:copied quickly) Then go back to your Mingle folder and right click in the spot you want the image to appear. (I don't know if it's necessary, but I always put it on a separate line from any words that I have in the reply). Choices will then appear. Right click "paste" and a bunch of jargon will show up. It's supposed to, that's the computer jargon that links Mingle to the picture. When you hit the Edit Reply (on Mingles end) the picture will show up. You can practice this in the forums without even opening an account in photobucket by simply going there and in the top "search photobucket" just put in something like smileys, or cats, or birthday....anything really and images will pop up. Follow the above proceedures and you should be set, well... unless photobucket gives you the Picture has been moved or deleted Then just find another
Hope this has helped. It took me years and other peoples' patience in helping me to know how to do this

      Hey Zee (and everybody)
Well this has been a long week. My grand baby was due last sunday. Seems they are going to induce my daughter in law tomorrow. So I'll need some strong coffee when I get up in the morning, especially since it's already past midnight now and I'm not even Nothing in the coffee mind you, not the Irish kind Just cream and sugar please Already this grand baby is putting the grown ups through hoops it seems, and (he or she) hasn't even greeted the world yet

Hippie, I saw a bunch of police cars leave the parking lot earlier....I think they're all gone now
Maybe the Dunkin Donuts went on strike like the McDonald's did and that was their only source for donuts?
