He that hath pity upon the poor, lendeth to the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay him again. Proverbs 19:17
Taught by that power who pities me, I learn to pity them. Goldsmith. |

Sometimes that which can be seen from one outside of a situation, sees something that they felt was inappropriate. Humanness is all of that...and more... humble is a difficult place to reside in... and yet we expect it of ourselves and demand it of others... I see humanness.. Indeed Jess. Thanks for dropping by. How many days left now? Don't leave us in suspense for too long. |

yup. pretty close.
Noah Webster has a fan. me. In 1828, he finished an exhaustive work called , "American Dictionary of the English Language" The first of its kind to study the words and give as thorough an explanation of their roots, meanings and usage. It nearly broke the man doing it. To say that he was held in high esteem and awe is an understatement. He raised the bar incredibly high, and this exhaustive work has never been eclipsed in its leap of scholarship. The man is a National Treasure. For an apt description of love, he wrote about the different ways this English word is used, touching on the other words of different languages that spoke to more specific love, than just in general, as is the case in the English language. he offered this about love, with regards to God. "The love of God is the first duty of man, and this springs from just views of his attributes or excellencies of character, which afford the highest delight to the sanctified heart. Esteem and reverence constitute ingredients in this affection, and a fear of offending him is its inseparable effect." this fear of offending him was reminded me by God when I read Britty's quoted story about the files. Not as a quaking fear, but one of pity, feeling God's own of us and how tenderly that affects me. Well, back to Mr. Webster.... His careful choice of words is intriguing. He has been heralded for his genuine scholarship and was admired for his dedication to the purpose of creating this reference book for the good of the country. It must be noted that he widely used biblical verses to display the use of the words where applicable, and quoted from other sources as well. For example, Shakespeare, Addison, Dryden, Milton, Locke, and Pope were ssome of his favorites. Quoting Milner, he writes of distanced..."He distanced the most skilful of his contemporaries." I find humor in that. |

Come live with me and be my love Christopher Marlowe Come live with me and be my love, And we will all the pleasures prove That valleys, groves, hills, and fields, Woods or steepy mountain yields. And we will sit upon the rocks, Seeing the shepherds feed their flocks, By shallow rivers to whose falls Melodious birds sing madrigals. And I will make thee beds of roses And a thousand fragrant posies, A cap of flowers, and a kirtle Embroidered all with leaves of myrtle; A gown made of the finest wool Which from our pretty lambs we pull; Fair lined slippers for the cold, With buckles of th purest gold; A belt of straw and ivy buds, With coral clasps and amber studs: And if these pleasures may thee move, Come live with me and be my love. The shepherds' swains shall dance and sing For thy delight each May morning: If these delights thy mind may move, Then live with me and be my love. The Passionate Shepherd to His Love Christopher Marlowe |

Treasures In You There are treasures in life, but owners are few Of money and power to buy things brand new. Yet you can be wealthy and feel regal too, If you will just look for the treasures in you. These treasures in life are not hard to find When you look in your heart, your soul, and your mind. For when you are willing to share what's within, Your fervent search for riches will end. The joy and the laughter, the smile that you bring; The heart unafraid to love and to sing; The hand always willing to help those in need; Ones quick to reach out, to labor and feed. So thank you for sharing these great gifts inside; The caring, the cheering, the hug when one cried. Thanks for the energy, encouragement too, And thank you for sharing the treasures in you. -Unknown |

One of the fruits of God’s holy spirit is gentleness. Gal 5:22-23 (NKJV) "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, {23} gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law." Gentleness is being considerate, kind and patient. A gentleman must use wisdom when he speaks and rule with kindness when he gives instructions. The Christian gentleman must set a right example in being gentle and kind in all of his dealings with his wife, children, friends, relatives and neighbors. |

Isaiah 57:16-19. For I will not contend forever, neither will I always be wroth: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls (which) I have made. For the covetousness was I wroth, and smote him: I hid me, and was wroth, and he went on frowardly in the way of his heart. I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts unto him and his mourners. I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, saith the Lord; and I will heal him. This I must embrace as a charge to my own soul for the good of all. But all too often, this comes over me, as well. Psalms 18:25-28. With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright. With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself froward. For thou wilt save the afflicted people; but will bring down high looks. For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness. And in the end, though it seems right, there is always a better way. Matthew 12:16-21. And charged them that they should not make him known: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet saying. Behold , my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom mu soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgement to the Gentiles. He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets. A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, til he send forth judgement unto victory. And in his name shall the Gentiles trust. That is what I ought always to embrace and display. Quiet gentleness. yup. But I don't always. Because, in the conforming of my image to Christ, I find this upon me as well, without excuse and not as an escape, but rather as that which has apprehended me for good, and not for ill. Ephesians 6:12. For we wrestle not with flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high (places). And in that vein, I am sorrowfully engaged to be bold in spirit and intent upon offering clean water to drink when the fountain has been troubled. Troubled waters often become the focus, even when the clean water is the drink. Tainted and maligned do the waters of life become mired in turmoil and strife when asked to but a part of the drink, and not the whole drink. Wretched that I am in the things that are tainted with abuse of privelege, and my own privelege is to better serve the clean water and ignore the tainted and leave it to whosoever will, to drink of their own choice of refreshment and leave off torment not my own. I get a little on me sometimes. Not good. Less is more with strife and contention. I shall amend myself. yup |

Good afternoon all......Hope everyone is doing marvy. I had to finally break down and buy a new computer....happy happy and I love it alot.....
Psalm 103: 1-5 Bless the Lord, O my soul And all that is within me Forgetting not His benefits Nor forgiveness of iniquity Bless Him who brings healing And redemption to our lives Crowning us with loving kindness And with blessings, satisfies JESUS In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. He was present originally with God. All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being. ~John 1:1-3 (Amp) If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just (true to His own nature and promises) and will forgive our sins [dismiss our lawlessness] and [continuously] cleanse us from all unrighteousness [everything not in conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action]. ~1 John 1:9 (Amp) Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation. ~Rom 10:9-10 We believe that everyone has sinned and fallen short of what God requires. God sent Jesus Christ to die on the cross, so that we may be forgiven and reconciled back to God, to have a daily personal relationship with Him. It is only through Jesus Christ that we come into this relationship with God. We believe Jesus was raised to life so we may have eternal life with Him. In a sense when we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, we become a brand-new person. Yes we still have struggles in our daily lives, but we know that Jesus is with us always and helps us when we give it over to Him. |

Hi guys, great to see you. ((((( ))))) Glad to hear you are happy with your new computer Debs. But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. (1 Peter 3.4 KJV) |

John Bunyan. 1628–1688 The Shepherd Boy sings in the Valley of Humiliation HE that is down needs fear no fall, He that is low, no pride; He that is humble ever shall Have God to be his guide. I am content with what I have, Little be it or much: And, Lord, contentment still I crave, Because Thou savest such. Fullness to such a burden is That go on pilgrimage: Here little, and hereafter bliss, Is best from age to age. |

Here's on of my favorites dear. Elizabeth Barrett Browning. 1806–1861 Sonnets from the Portuguese I THOUGHT once how Theocritus had sung Of the sweet years, the dear and wish'd-for years, Who each one in a gracious hand appears To bear a gift for mortals old or young: And, as I mused it in his antique tongue, I saw in gradual vision through my tears The sweet, sad years, the melancholy years— Those of my own life, who by turns had flung A shadow across me. Straightway I was 'ware, So weeping, how a mystic Shape did move Behind me, and drew me backward by the hair; And a voice said in mastery, while I strove, 'Guess now who holds thee?'—'Death,' I said. But there The silver answer rang—'Not Death, but Love.' |
