Have you ever wished, deep down inside
That you could find a place to hide?
To hide from folks who come your way
With endless problems day by day?
To hide from all that lies ahead,
The unseen foes and griefs you dread?
To flee decisions you must make,
Avoid the path that you must take?
To run away and find a spot
Where even self can be forgot?

Earth has no place as such you seek --
No place of refuge for the weak;
For ev'ry shelter here on earth
Soon proves to be of little worth
And we are left alone to face
The woes that plague the human race.

BUT WAIT!! The Rock of Ages -- He still stands,
A refuge from all life's demands;
A place to hide -- to weep -- to rest;
A place to hover and be blest.

For Jesus is that Rock Who stands
Holding forth His nail pierced hands --
A covert from the storm is He,
Saying, "Come, and hide in Me."

II Corinthians 5 : 17-21.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature : old things are passed away : behold, all things are become new.

And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses against them ; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us : we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin ; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Romans 4 : 3-9.

For what saith the scriptures? Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him for righteousness.

Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of faith, but of debt.

But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Even David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,

Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.

Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will NOT impute sin.

Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.

------------------------------------------------
So faith has a particular effect, either by the confidence in His ministers, or in God, in Christ as one speaking to you.

To the end that this may apply to any and all as well.
--------------------------------------------------

Romans 4 : 15-25.

Because the law worketh wrath : for where no law is,there is no transgression. Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace. ; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed ; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham ; who is the father of us all.

(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations.) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken,"So shall thy seed be."

And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about a hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb :

He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief ; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God ;

And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able to perform.

And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.

Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him ; But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead ;

Who was delivered for our offenses, and was raised AGAIN for our justification.

Hebrews 11 : 1.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Mercy me- "Bring Me The Rain"

Bring me joy, bring me peace
Bring the chance to be free.
Bring me anything that brings You glory.
And I know there'll be days
When this life brings me pain,
But if that's what it takes to praise You
Jesus, bring the rain.

Without Him
By Unknown Author

"I could not do without Him,
For Jesus means to me
More than all the richest gifts
Of earth could ever, ever be.
The more I find Him precious,
And the more I find Him true,
The more I long for you to find
What He will do for you.

What will you do without Him
In the long and dreary day
Of trouble and perplexity,
When you can't find the way?
When no one else can help you,
And no one guides you right,
When hope comes not with morning,
And rest comes not with night?

What will you do without Him
When death is drawing near,
Without His love, the only love,
That casts out every fear?
When the shadow valley opens
Unlighted and unknown,
And the terror of its darkness
Must all be passed alone?

Why will you do without Him?
There is no other Name
By which you can be saved,
No hope, no way, no claim.
Without Him- everlasting loss
Of love and light and life.
Without Him- everlasting woe
And everlasting night.

You need not be without Him!
For He is passing by.
He is waiting to be gracious,
Only waiting for your cry!
He is waiting to receive you,
To make you all His own.
Why will you do without Him
And wander on alone?

But with Him! Oh, with Jesus!
Are any words so blest?
With Jesus - everlasting joy,
And everlasting rest.
With Jesus- empty hearts are filled
With His perfect love.
With Jesus- perfect peace below,
And perfect bliss above."

Here is a little christian story you might enjoy.

A LOVE STORY
(unknown author)

One day, I woke early in the morning to watch the sunrise.
Ah, the beauty of God's creation is beyond description.
As I watched, I praised God for His beautiful work.
As I sat there, I felt the Lord's presence with me.

He asked me, "Do you love me?"

I answered, "Of course, God! You are my Lord and Saviour!"

Then He asked, "If you were physically handicapped, would you still love me?"

I was perplexed. I looked down upon my arms, legs and the rest of my body and wondered how many things I wouldn't; be able to do, the things that I took for granted.

And I answered, "It would be tough Lord, but I would still love You."

Then the Lord said, "If you were blind, would you still love my creation?"

How could I love something without being able to see it? Then I thought of all the blind people in the world and how many of them still loved God and His creation.

So I answered, "Its hard to think of it, but I would still love you."

The Lord then asked me, "If you were deaf, would you still listen to my word?"

How could I listen to anything being deaf? Then I understood. Listening to God's Word is not merely using our ears, but our hearts. I answered, "It would be tough, but I would still listen to Your word."

The Lord then asked, "If you were mute, would you still praise My Name?"

How could I praise without a voice?

Then it occurred to me: God wants us to sing from our very heart and soul. It never matters what we sound like. And praising God is not always with a song, but when we are persecuted, we give God praise with our words of thanks.

So I answered, "Though I could not physically sing, I would still praise Your Name."

And the Lord asked, "Do you really love Me?"

With courage and a strong conviction, I answered boldly, "Yes Lord! I love You because You are the one and true God!"

I thought I had answered well, but... God asked, "THEN WHY DO YOU SIN?"

I answered, "Because I am only human. I am not perfect."

"THEN WHY IN TIMES OF PEACE DO YOU STRAY THE FURTHEST? WHY ONLY IN TIMES OF TROUBLE DO YOU PRAY THE EARNEST?"

No answers. Only tears.

The Lord continued: "Why only sing at fellowships and retreats? Why seek Me only in times of worship? Why ask things so selfishly? Why ask things so unfaithfully?"

The tears continued to roll down my cheeks.

"Why are you ashamed of Me? Why are you not spreading
the good news? Why in times of persecution, you cry to others when I offer My shoulder to cry on? Why make excuses when I give you opportunities to serve in My Name?"

I tried to answer, but there was no answer to give.

"You are blessed with life. I made you not to throw this gift away. I have blessed you with talents to serve Me, but you continue to turn away. I have revealed My Word to you, but you do not gain in knowledge. I have spoken to you but your ears were closed. I have shown My blessings to you, but your eyes were turned away. I have sent you servants, but you sat idly by as they were pushed away. I have heard your prayers and I have answered them all."

"DO YOU TRULY LOVE ME ?"

I could not answer. How could I? I was embarrassed beyond belief. I had no excuse. What could I say to this? When I my heart had cried out and the tears had flowed, I said, "Please forgive me Lord. I am unworthy to be Your child."

The Lord answered, "That is My Grace, My child."

I asked, "Then why do you continue to forgive me? Why do You love me so?"

The Lord answered, "Because you are My creation. You are my child. I will never abandon you. When you cry, I will have compassion and cry with you. When you shout with joy, I will laugh with you. When you are down, I will encourage you. When you fall, I will raise you up. When you are tired, I will carry you. I will be with you till the end of days, and I will love you forever."

Never had I cried so hard before. How could I have been so cold? How could I have hurt God as I had done? I asked God, "How much do You love me?"

The Lord stretched out His arms, and I saw His nail-pierced hands. I bowed down at the feet of Christ, my Saviour. And for the first time, I truly prayed.

"The Christian life rooted in the secret place where God
meets and walks and talks with his own grows into such a
testimony of divine power that all men will feel its influence
and be touched by the warmth of its love."

Britty,

you amaze me dear.

I copied a post of mine to share here,
and find it befitting as an accompanyment to this quote of yours, albeit, unintentionally.

Joy unspeakable to have this word from your treasures of heart to paint a picture of the Church.

And for comparison, the merciful grace upon those that know not what we know.

Here's the paste.....(caplock finger fumbles and alllaugh )
------------------------------------------------

Let's call this; the blessed inheritance of the righteous

Jesus spoke to this, wrapped in a story depicting the judgement of God, when we all will see him in his glory at The Judgement.

I will simplify it for you.

In this story, Jesus identifies himself with all left wanting of something that could have been provided by the advantaged and privileged in life.

He also identifies himself with those that meet the lack suffered by others.

What is not in this story is the Church of Jesus Christ.

What is in this story is the blessed inheritance of the righteous. They are not the Church of Jesus Christ in that He specifically says that these righteous ones do not know him.

The Church knows Jesus and Jesus knows the Church.

The Church of Jesus Christ is judged aLREADY, AND THE EVIDENCE IF THAT IS THE hOLY sPIRIT GIVEN THE cHURCH, INDIVIDUALLY. tHESE ARE CALLED SAINTS, OR BROTHERS AND SISTERS OF THE lORD. OOPS. I hit the caplock key.

Here is the story. Read it.

Matthew 25: 31-46.(Jesus' words)

God bless you.

humans are here together to critique one another as any GOOD friend DOES............but there is so much religion mixed in with tradition that the logic of truth is abolished........none stand on truth but feelings.......the whole story and book must follow the patterns of what made it all.......

the whole portrait of god is one painted by the conscious mind......from images of words read in books and seen in movies, and told to each by somebody......

how does that make it TRUE........should not the truth of someone called god that made everything not dispute itself................the principles taught here totally go AGAINST every ACT of nature that supposedly the same god made

they go against the function of the body.....WHICH THE MIND CONTROLS IN ALL FUNCTIONS........

so the mind then work the same as in ALL of nature, in animals, plants, oceans, bodies, minds......they all have a story behind them and that is the story of creation.......why do they do what they do......they all work the same if function......if their is such a thing as a child of god than certainly this child should understand why we needed an ocean, a sky, trees, bad and good, winter and summer, spring and fall, anger and love..........what child does not need to know how daddy made what he made?????????????????

ucant even talk about god closer than a daddy, but see him as some dictator of fear, when if you really put the words out of context u use your own child would DESPISE you......

try it and see........say these things to your wife and husband......please, his love has got to be sweeter than ours, NOT LESS>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

in all principles it is the same..........good and bad half must exist

each need the other for comparison.......

someone just give me an answer for who was needed MORE for the "salvation plan".........jesus or judas............

these are questions most that say they believe in jesus cannot answer......

yes, the bible i beleive every sentence......but i dont let MY mind tell me the answer, but rather the book tell what each word mean......if it says OX, then the pic of an ox in the mind wont get it.......the book says what an ox represents......

it says what utter darkenss is and it aint hell with fire and horned bandits.........

i cant see it cut any other way than judas is my brother too.........if jesus was here he would be hangin out at woodstock, and did so in the bible.........you guys make it like there are say some rules to get in......damn, u gonna charge a cover charge too..............
