Isaiah 57:16-19.

For I will not contend forever, neither will I always be wroth: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls (which) I have made.
For the covetousness was I wroth, and smote him: I hid me, and was wroth, and he went on frowardly in the way of his heart.
I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts unto him and his mourners.
I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, saith the Lord; and I will heal him.



This I must embrace as a charge to my own soul for the good of all.

But all too often, this comes over me, as well.

Psalms 18:25-28.
With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright.
With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself froward.
For thou wilt save the afflicted people; but will bring down high looks.
For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.


And in the end, though it seems right, there is always a better way.

Matthew 12:16-21.
And charged them that they should not make him known:
That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet saying.
Behold , my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom mu soul is well pleased:
I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgement to the Gentiles.
He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets.
A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, til he send forth judgement unto victory.
And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.


That is what I ought always to embrace and display. Quiet gentleness. yup.

But I don't always.

Because, in the conforming of my image to Christ, I find this upon me as well, without excuse and not as an escape, but rather as that which has apprehended me for good, and not for ill.

Ephesians 6:12.
For we wrestle not with flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high (places).



And in that vein, I am sorrowfully engaged to be bold in spirit and intent upon offering clean water to drink when the fountain has been troubled. Troubled waters often become the focus, even when the clean water is the drink. Tainted and maligned do the waters of life become mired in turmoil and strife when asked to but a part of the drink, and not the whole drink.

Wretched that I am in the things that are tainted with abuse of privelege, and my own privelege is to better serve the clean water and ignore the tainted and leave it to whosoever will, to drink of their own choice of refreshment and leave off torment not my own.

I get a little on me sometimes. Not good.

Less is more with strife and contention.

I shall amend myself.

and Morning Song. I would to be as sweet as you are in these troubled waters.

God is good. His called in Christ are precious indeed.

The Lord's kindness has always struck mr from the beginning as up instead of down, and often looking left when others are looking to the right. It often has torn my heart with his tenderness that has to be truly known and felt inwardly to understand the opposite of the apparent which is often descriptive of Jesus' meekness and love, but not often thought of in harsh and gruff terms that can only be comprehended in His adamance to bear all things in love, compassion and sympathy and taking endless pity on all, without respect of persons and always genuinely in the present with His treasures of grace and mercy. What looks one way, can be another. I am not speaking of myself, but of an ancient and overlooked prophecy of Him that displays his love by His Tenacity for perfect love.

Habukkuk3:12-16.

Thou didst march through the land in indignation, thou didst thresh the heathen in anger.
Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy people,(even) for for salvation with thine anointed; thou woundedst the head out of the house of the wicked,by discovering the foundation unto the neck. Selah.
Thu didst strike through with his staves the head of his villages : they came out to scatter me : their rejoicing was to devour the poor secretly.

When I heard, my belly trembled ; my lips quivered at the voice : rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in myself, that I might rest in the day of trouble : when he cometh up unto the people, he will invade them with his troops.

Steps To Happiness

Everybody Knows:
You can't be all things to all people.
You can't do all things at once.
You can't do all things equally well.
You can't do all things better than everyone else.
Your humanity is showing just like everyone else's.

So:

You have to find out who you are, and be that.
You have to decide what comes first, and do that.
You have to discover your strengths, and use them.
You have to learn not to compete with others,
Because no one else is in the contest of *being you*.

Then:

You will have learned to accept your own uniqueness.
You will have learned to set priorities and make decisions.
You will have learned to live with your limitations.
You will have learned to give yourself the respect that is due.
And you'll be a most vital mortal.

Dare To Believe:

That you are a wonderful, unique person.
That you are a once-in-all-history event.
That it's more than a right, it's your duty, to be who you are.
That life is not a problem to solve, but a gift to cherish.
And we'll be able to stay one up on what used to get us.
