WOW! That's beautiful, and very soft for German.
The love of God shows clearly through even such a harsh language. The letter can convey....love. And not quench. 1John3:20-21 "For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence towards God." 1John4:4. "You are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." 1John 5:9-12. "If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself, he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life." This reminds me of a short sermon I once heard, as does your offering of that wonderful poem which jogged this memory, Britty. " I don't praise the Lord for your hand clapping! I don't praise the Lord for your hallelujahs! I don't praise the Lord for your amens! I praise the Lord to praise the Lord! Hallelujah! Amen! RW Shambaugh...at rest in the Lord. This from a man full of years and a lifelong preacher who never let the fire go out. |

Hi Wouldee I thought it was a lovely song also, full of love. RW Shambaugh - sounds like he was a real man of God. |

A Smile A smile cost nothing, but gives so much. It enriches those who receive it, without making poorer those who give. It takes but a moment, but the memory of it sometimes lasts forever. None is so rich or mighty that he can get along without it, and none is so poor but that he can be made rich by it. A smile creates happiness in the home, fosters goodwill in business, and is the countersign of friendship. It brings rest to the weary, cheer to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad, and it is nature's best antidote for trouble. Yet it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen, for it is something that is of no value to anyone until it is given away. Some people are too tired to give you a smile. Give them one of yours, as none needs a smile so much as he who has no more to give. - BJ.Morbitzer So, smile everyone. |

Here is a song I really like.
Man of His Word - Bob Carlisle In The final days of summer, 1944, with just a humble band of gold, They set out to find the future, not a penny to their name. Still with all the unknown danger, she knew her heart was safe, cause?. He was a rock He was the one that she ran to And when he said the word "forever" She knew that is was true He wasn't a saint But he was a saint enough for her He was a man, A man of his word The final days of summer, 1964, found a family undivided, divided on the war. Turning son against his elder, debating wring and right, He was the image of his father, though they would not see eye to eye still? He was a rock He was the one the boy ran to Cause' when he said the words "I love you" He knew that it was true And even in the worst of storms There was an anchor in his world He was a man, a man of his word Clutching a strong belief in the Bible, through all the sweetness in his life, and the bitterness of war, He knew what God has made him for? In the final days of summer, 1994, surrounded by his family, and the presence of the Lord, He set out to find his future, the one he'd always known, He didn't want to leave his family, but he knew deep in his soul, The Lord had called him home. Cause? He was the rock He was the one the man ran to And when He said the word "forever" And he knew that it was true He wasn't a saint He is the one the saints bow to Receiving a man A man of his word? He is the one that I run to Cause when He says the word "forever" I know His word is true He isn't a saint He is the one the saints bow to Come to the Man The Man of His word? |

Robert Frost - I enjoy his poems so well. Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening Whose woods these are I think I know. His house is in the village, though; He will not see me stopping here To watch his woods fill up with snow. My little horse must think it queer To stop without a farmhouse near Between the woods and frozen lake The darkest evening of the year. He gives his harness bells a shake To ask if there is some mistake. The only other sound's the sweep Of easy wind and downy flake. The woods are lovely, dark, and deep, But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep. Robert Frost |

Luke 12.22 onwards (and Mathew 6) 22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. 23 The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment. 24 Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls? 25 And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit? 26 If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest? 27 Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 28 If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith? 29 And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. 30 For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. 31 But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. 32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. 33 Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth. 34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. 35 Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning; 36 And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately. 37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them. 38 And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants. 39 And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through. 40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not. 41 Then Peter said unto him, Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us, or even to all? 42 And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season? 43 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. 44 Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath. |

God’s Provision We so often do not trust in God And lack faith that He will provide We worry, we fret, and we fuss so much In His blessings we do not abide For how can the hand of Almighty God Stretch forth with all that we need If we are not even expecting it And have doubt instead of belief His word has said so many times That He will provide for His children He won't leave us to go begging for bread But feed us from the storehouse of heaven Look at the sparrows, the birds of the air Are we not worth more than they? And consider the lilies; see how they grow How magnificently they are arrayed So much more than the lilies of the field Our clothing will He not provide? More than the sparrows that feed from His hand Our food He will not deny We really must believe in God's provision As sure as the fresh morning dew For He already knows just what are our needs And He will always come through (© By M.S.Lowndes) |

Thank you Debs, I have been praying for MorningSong - for the Lord to give her strength and restore her to full health. Thank you Vicki for the lovely words. wouldee - this was bought to my recollection earlier. Praise God. Many struggle with faith in God when they go through tragic and heartwrenching events in their lives. Others despite of the pain, have HOPE and praise their God. Here is a famous hymn from a brother in Christ: IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL When peace, like a river, attendeth my way, when sorrows like sea billows roll; whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say, It is well, it is well with my soul. Refrain: It is well with my soul, it is well, it is well with my soul. 2. Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come, let this blest assurance control, that Christ has regarded my helpless estate, and hath shed his own blood for my soul. (Refrain) 3. My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought! My sin, not in part but the whole, is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more, praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul! (Refrain) 4. And, Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight, the clouds be rolled back as a scroll; the trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend, even so, it is well with my soul. (Refrain) Words: Horatio G Spafford 1873 This hymn was written after two major traumas in Spafford’s life. The first was the great Chicago fire of October 1871, (which ruined him financially). Shortly after, while crossing the Atlantic, all four of Spafford’s daughters died in a collision with another ship. Spafford’s wife, Anna survived. Several weeks later, as Spafford’s shipped passed near the spot where his daughters died, the Holy Spirit inspired these words. They speak to the eternal hope that all believers have, no matter what pain and grief befall them on earth. |

Debbie...Britty...and others ....Thanks so much for the prayers..that is so kind of you both....but I feel there are so many others on this board ,besides myself, who are also going thru sickness or something else....and in need of prayer....and I felt led to lift them up in prayer too....right here.
I was going to suggest maybe,Feral ,that others who are also needing prayer, could leave their prayer request here. They most assruredly would be prayed over, casue there are definitely some powerful Godly prayer warriors praying already on this JSH forum !!! Right Now, I am Praying and Beleiving in Agreement for ALL others ....who have prayer needs out there....believing for total Victory in whatever needs you have, to be met....in Jesus Name, Amen!!! God knows who you are out there...... and am Standing in Agreement for Snuggles also, for a complete RECOVERY ...starting right NOW !!! Praying this in the Mighty Name of Jesus, Amen!!!! Thanks again Feral and Britty.... you both are such tender hearted Women of God. Brw, Britty, you shared, "All is Well With My Soul" , just at the right time. I needed to hear the words to that song so much today. Thank You Britty , for sharing that song. God is a right on time God!! ps...FeraL mentioned this earlier, and I agree...it is better to be specific with our prayer requests...but God still hears and answers prayer, regardless. Amen. GBY All....... |

William Wordsworth. 1770–1850
The Rainbow MY heart leaps up when I behold A rainbow in the sky: So was it when my life began; So is it now I am a man; So be it when I shall grow old, Or let me die! The Child is father of the Man; I could wish my days to be Bound each to each by natural piety. |

I feel as though I am living on faith at this time. The world as I knew it changed (passed away) four months ago and everything is is new. I am trying to get my footing again. I say this because I have made promises to my grandbaby her mom and God. I am doing my best to keep myself upright. I've gone from being extremely busy to a lull. It is disorienting when your whole environment changes, my choice, disorienting just the same. I need your prayers that I may come through this episode of my life and be ready to pursue what ever else God has for me! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to put these concerns in words! BTW, I am not in pain, just in very deep reflection! |

Good morning brothers and sisters
No time for hate among friends. No time for it at all. It is thankfully not an incessant adversary. It shall be dispensed with in due course as it flees into an abyss nowhere to be found harbored in a heart after God's own. Proverbs 6:16-19. " These six things does the LORD hate {sane..saw-nay : a prim. root; to hate(personally):-enemy, foe, (be)hate(-ful),-r), odious, X utterly.}: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: 1. A proud look 2. A lying tongue 3. and hands that shed innocent blood, 4. A heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, 5. Feet that be swift in running to mischief, 6. A false witness that speaketh lies, 7. and he that soweth discord among brethren." |
