This was amazing. I was tempted to dive in, but didn't. I enjoyed the nature trail to this spot. And we found a rare mushroom in a hollow tree, lol. Turned out to be a fake, one of those you put in a gnome garden, haha. |

Day 8
Drove 550 miles today, holy cow I'm exhausted. It wasn't near as bad as the trek through New England though. I was fine until I hit St. Louis. For some reason driving through cities makes me really tired. Must be all the energy surrounding the city and highway? I made it to Blue Springs, Missouri. I'll be leaving early again, that seems to work best for me. Hopefully by morning the room will stop spinning, lol. |

Day 7 Today's my last full day in Nashville. I've really enjoyed being here, did some fun things and got the relaxation that I very much needed and wanted. Not much is planned today other than getting ready for the trip out west tomorrow. I'll be leaving around 5am to avoid the traffic, and see the night lights of downtown Nashville. Hopefully it will stop raining when it's time to pack the car, lol. First time since I left that the weather hasn't been ideal, but at least I don't have to drive in it.   Maybe one day when I’m old (er ) my kids will take me on a road trip and push me round in a wheelchair with a blanket over my legs . But seriously if you ever make it to the UK I would love to meet up and show you round  I will be keeping an eye on your posts River, but I’ve had some bad news so I won’t be on Mingle2 too much. I will certainly be thinking about you, so drive carefully, and stay safe.  Where's my invite!? I think I can drive on the other side of the road! |

It's official, I can't drive in the rain when it's dark out.  I think I was everyone's worst nightmare... the one that drives 40 miles an hour on the interstate The toughest part was seeing the lines on the road. Kansas City really needs to put down some fresh paint  Fortunately I found a Waffle House, so stopped for coffee and breakfast while waiting for daylight. |

Had a wonderful time today driving... after the rain stopped, lol.
I decided to check a couple places out. There was a Lois & Clark visitor center/museum as I entered Iowa, so I took a detour. I took pictures, but haven't set up an album yet, so got these photos online. Unfortunately it didn't open for another hour and I didn't feel like waiting.  Doesn't really look like their home in the show, lol I stopped in Ogallala, Nebraska for the night. There was this cool Cowboy place, both a restaurant and a museum. It was all just like the old west. My steak dinner was yummy. But they had the museum closed so I couldn't check it out.   The only thing left out of the photo is the stagecoach they had in front of the palace. Very cool place and little town.

Well that sucks you couldn't see the museum, or other stuff... oh well... your final destination will have plenty to see and do..

There's a couple museums in Rock Springs, the WWCC Natural History Museum, and a historical museum. I want to at least go to the Natural History one, they have dinosaurs  And there's a couple nice parks.
