Holy Cow, I'm so happy I decided to come early. The ride was amazing... actually amazing doesn't give it justice, there's no words to describe the beauty of the mountains I rode through. And the motel room is by far the best one I've stayed at since the beginning of my journey. All down up western rustic style with the furniture and bed posts made from tree branches, or at least cover in tree bark. What a wonderful way to spend the last two days of my vacation. I love Jackson, LOVE Wyoming even more!
I saw quite a few pronghorn along the way, they might have been antelope, one right along side the road... right after the sign I passed saying watch out for wildlife, haha. I also saw some billy goats on the side of the mountain as I passed by. A whole lot of horses and cows, and llamas. I'm in heaven! |

Pinedale, Wyoming has a mountain man museum and if you get to Cody, Wyoming take half a day going through the Buffalo Bill Museum. I will be going through those areas later this summer on my way home from Florida. Enjoy every minute of your trip.

Pinedale, Wyoming has a mountain man museum and if you get to Cody, Wyoming take half a day going through the Buffalo Bill Museum. I will be going through those areas later this summer on my way home from Florida. Enjoy every minute of your trip. I drove past Pinedale yesterday, it looked like a nice area. My workplace is about two and a half hours north of Pinedale. Looks like there's road closures to Cody on the shorter route, they'd have to fix that if I visit there, haha. Otherwise it's a really long haul. I had checked Cody out when I was looking at dude ranches, The Bill Cody dude ranch. Looks like a beautiful area. Thanks for the info okguy |

Hope you’re having a good traveling day today! Did they have any Dudes at the Dude Ranches you were checking out? I forgot about them being out west..... |

Sounds like you have had an amazing journey within your adventures to your new job...
To be able to see such beautiful areas along the way is a plus for sure.. Awesome to hear that you love the scenic view where you will be staying.. That alone is well worth the journey..and the job~~~ Never know may find somewhere close to work in the offseason if you end up loving the area~~~ Glad to hear you have not had any car problems etc on the way and you are practically there.. I hope that the place you will be working for is all you expected and more.. Nothing like country life and small towns.. |

Hope you’re having a good traveling day today! Did they have any Dudes at the Dude Ranches you were checking out? I forgot about them being out west..... I had a fun day, only wasn't traveling. I wasn't able to get my hair trimmed before leaving, so today was a pamper me day. I got my hair done, got a manicure, and a massage... very much needed after driving 3,000 miles Just finished grocery shopping, the employee dining room won't be open until April 23rd. Gassed up the car and I'll load her up tonight so I can head to the workplace around 7:30 or 8am. Housing opens at 8am, so I want to get there early to unpack a few things and have time for my orientation training. Dudes at a dude ranch... Hmmm, Oh yeah Actually we have a couple stables at the place I'm going, so I imagine there'll be dudes there too! I just check out the place I'll be stationed, not sure why I didn't before, lol. It's the campground area right on the lake. So it will be kind of like camping all summer. The smell of campfires and being able to see the night sky will be wonderful. |

She's a good car for sure. There are places all over for the winter, quite a lot out here in the West, so it's very likely. I'm with Vail Resorts and they have properties all over the West and also in New England and other places throughout the US. Also Canada and Australia. I'm loving the country life and small towns. |

Hey!!!! Good Morning There ! Driving 3,000 Miles is not an Easy Job ! Sometimes all you need is a Good Friend ( Car ) and a Full Tank of Confidence ( Petrol )... Good Morning Paul Lol, I totally agree! Gypsy's been a good friend to me... Yes, I named my car. Gypsy seemed fitting since some gypsies travel around the country side. |

Day 13
The road trip part of the journey has come to an end. Next stop is my new home for the next six months. I'm excited and a tad bit nervous. This is an incredible opportunity to practice living in the here and now, rather than worrying about where I'll live six months from now. To build on my faith that all will be okay and trust that I have the courage and wisdom to continue on this journey, wherever that path may guide me. Today's agenda... pack up the car, arrive at my destination, get settled into housing, complete my orientation training, set up an appointment with HR for tomorrow, then explore my new surroundings and relax. |

I envy your trip River! To see the country on a drive has to be breathtaking. I will do that one day since I want to drive to San Francisco so I can visit Alcatraz.
