i believe it's a flattery when someone gets jealous because of you. it means you are important to the person. its their way of saying they love you. but if its too much, that is not anymore healthy. it really depends on the situation.

Uh, uh. Jealousy is not flattering. There is a difference between protective and jealousy. Read Toms answer. And thank you for posting

Jealousy usually roots in FEAR.

Protecting the people important to you usually roots in LOVE.

Since we are discussing human social behavior its important to realize these values are different for each of us.

Sometimes the fact that we do LOVE someone can lead to jealousy about losing the one we love (Fear).

Most normal jealousy can usually be corrected by reassurance.

If you are dating a narcissist, a sociopath or a psychopath chances are the jealousy will get dangerous.

Always on point ^^^^.
Jealousy involves toxic anger.
Protection is fierce, but not toxic.

End of topic

What do you think makes the difference? Which is healthy, which is instinct?
Is jealously protective or toxic protection?

A Shipfitter's thoughts

She is my ship's watchful eyes,
the guiding goddess figurehead,
forever at the forefront
of my mind.
Softly, yet solidly, her feminine spirit
drives this vessel
from first morning's thought,
till last pleasure's sigh at night.
I love her silently
when my sea fellows green eye my lunch's
sweet notes and smell her perfume,
drifting to meet with the spice
of her tantalizing feasts.
Those rodents flying the sky,
fight to the death
for just one choice scrap thrown.
I love her most after the whistle finally blows
the mechanics out of me,
far away into the unassuming wind.
I know she will be waiting
inside the rich, colourful tapestry
she has woven our home to be.
Her smile, her touch and affection
cocoons us into one flesh.
Separated only by tomorrow.

Car's are nice, but I've always preferred Truck's....." They make the Money"

No particular one, just whichever one is required to get the job done.

How is that?

This is a triggering poem. Poetry is an expression when those in need have no words, but need to find they are not alone. I hope you find this in the years to follow my loves xxx

<♡> Black <♡>

December. I will see his face after forty eight years.
He will wear a glowing, saviour halo
and say things like, "I loved those girls like a father."
Masked in distressed, victim persona,
acting as if he was born for an Oscar,
his throat will not vomit the dark snakes
nesting in him, but his forked tongue
will serve him well.

In the Courtroom I will hold my sister's hands,
praying she will not black out, as she does
when triggered by monsters in the flesh,
or memories of their gigantic fingers
and lips hurting her eight year old trust.

I asked her what she sees when she blacks out?
She tells me purple roses sometimes appear.
I tell her it is because she is a Queen -
Royal roses for her courage and suffering.

He knows we three tell the truth
about his destructive, predatory bedroom deeds.
Will he stare straight ahead in Court,
or will he find the shamelessness to look our way
and see the purple rose garlands crowning our heads?

I've Never looked for acceptance from anyone. I could care less about what someone thinks. Accept yourself for who you are, make necessary changes to better your life, and don't worry, some people are not supposed to be there.

Well said. My attitude too.

Pick a title....

Know the holiness of my love.

Your golden finger
etched law, then dripped loves nailed blood.
Faithful is my friend.

Hindsight is always preferable :grinning: Biologically, there are more risks associated with having children above 40, so that is not preferable to many.
People have sex/make love all the time and children are concieved, whether in marriage or not. And parents get on with it, ill prepared or not.
Personally, I felt mature and ready when we planned our child at 30 and 31. Sure I made mistakes, but my adult child is very free and modern. I guess parenting styles are different. I never bowed to societal expectations, I really do not understand the pressure to do so?
I used to love it when people would say, "Omg, what is that mark on your childs face?"
"My lipstick", I would reply.
An abundance of love and kisses never hurts.
Different strokes for different folks.
Glad you have a happy cat :grinning:
And life is about learning, lets keep doing it

Not wanting a long distance relationship, even in my own country, I am just going to avoid all dating sites (besides Mingle forums) and try the "bend and snap" more often... laugh

Are you still scared of contracting it? So many variants and life has moved on. Me, I have not had it, but friends and family have had it.
It is interesting to hear how some have have had minimum reactions and some have not.
What has been your experiemce?

After dinner hand her binocculars and ask if she will accompany you on checking on your ex's house. Then she will know how caring you are about people.

Chandler's girlfriend in the tv series 'Friends' is called Monica. She was nice, keeping the apartment clean and tidy, as well as all the cooking and making cookies, lucky guy that Chandler, I could get used to her voice.
I miss that show, I can never stop laughing each time I watch an episode.

Really thought you were going to say Chandler's girlfriend Janice. Like OMG, could you get any more annoying? I have never cared for the Boston accent, not sure who could live with that?

Yes. It was Janice. It was not her real voice on the show. She is quite iconic now.
