Women have been the ones to raise the kids 99% of the time. We are use to buying dinner for more than ourselves or movie tickets for more than ourselves. Men have become selfish and self centered. Women don't want a man who will make their lives harder. Too many men these days are more like a child to a woman. I partly agree with you. There are some sorry men out there. But the truth of the matter is, many women ask for what they get. There are a lot of hateful a-hole women out there that will stand in the way of the man that really wants to be a father to his kids. Will tell the kids all sorts of hateful lies to try to turn his kids against him. I know, I've been there. I've seen many men, besides myself, that wanted to be in their kid's lives. The mother, always willing to hold out her hand for the child support money, but will make up lies as to why the kids aren't coming to see their dad. Will bellyache to others about the dad that doesn't see his kids. But doesn't tell them that she is the reason. Many women like to talk about how sorry her X was. When in reality, it's just a way to try to keep eyes off of her. Many women are just as bad as the men they point their finger at. Yes, there are a lot of sorry men out there. But there are also a lot of devious minded women out there just looking to hook a guy so they can get a check every month from him. And, there are a lot of stupid men out there that think too much below the belt that is just ripe for the hook. |

with my first two kids I didn't receive any child support and I had them all the time I wasn't at work. I get minimum child support for my youngest. He got a big raise for becoming Forman and she gets no benefit from it. He had her 4 weekends ago. He picked her up Saturday and brought her back Sunday. This weekend she just didn't want to go with him and he canceled last weekend because of a funeral. He is going on vacation on the 4th. She was supposed to go but the babysitter canceled so she won't get to go. It's a guys vacation now. She is 14 and I let her have friends over. Last weekend I told her I need a life too and went on a date. She spent that time with her brother. I'll probably have her next weekend also. When a woman has children, she chooses the father. If it doesen't work out, she gets the benefit of the one she chose. I don't know how they work things in Georgia but in Minnesota every time I got an increase in my pay, child support increased plus the COLA. Visitation is either set by the divorce agreement or the courts, most parents are going to spend as much time as they can with their children. Sounds like your ex is the exception. What does a babysitter have to do with a 14 year old? She certainly should be able to spend the evening unsupervised unless she is handicapped. The exception to that is if the parent is going to have an overnight guest or be gone overnight. |

So, she can watch herself but only at certain times? Mom shouldn't get a free weekend like dad? As far as choosing, society makes it where father's don't feel it's their place to take care of their kids. Men cry the court gives the woman custody but leave out that she had the kids the whole time before going to court. Because dad didn't have any concern until the court was ordering child support. But don't worry guy, one day you will be old. We will see if any of the kids, visit you or maybe take you to a Dr appointment. I bet the kids have just as many excuses as you did. I bet some of you are already in that situation. |

Her dad was going to get her this weekend and she didn't want to go. I'm guessing with each year she will see him less and less.

I don't know where your beliefs on these subjects came from but they certainly don't apply to men I know or the court system in my state. |

All you have to do is create a female profile and go on POF and talk to some of the single dad's. Most of them are their kids every other weekend. That's 4 days a month. In my opinion that really isn't a single dad. I think of a single dad as having custody and dealing with the load of raising a child on a day to day basis.
Today my daughter's dad will buy lunch for himself. If we decide to go shopping, I will be buying for 2. He always paid for dates before we were married but he lived at home with his parents rent free. Now that he has a mortgage and other bills, he attaches himself to women/people who will pick up the check. That way, he can still buy the expensive sunglasses etc. |
