just a question of curiosity? I know its illegal for sexual offenders to be PHYSICALLY in certain locations, but is there any law against them having internet accounts, so long as they arent on sites catering to chidlren?

I wanted to know how people are dealing with this loss. We believed in Lex in a positive way much as a child believes in Santa Claus, The Easter Bunny, or The Tooth Fairy. Remember how you felt when that was taken away from you? I see that as sort of the same thing. We all wanted to believe something was real. Our clever friend who did Glorious Profile threads, who was a grammar and spelling freak, etc. Keep in mind he did not date those with children. He did not play with women's minds. There were good aspects to him as the character he wanted us to believe. Anger is one of the five stages of grief. I believe we are all grieving the loss of a friend though he was a front. How are you personally dealing with your loss, those of you who had become friends with him? I was not friends with him. But it will make me be more wary of people with unclear pictures (or no pictures) and people who seem off for some reason. |

I have told a few mods privately.
But to the rest of the mods, my deepest sympathies in losing someone who was a colleague and you thought of as a trusted friend. It is a very sad day for all of us and a huge shock. TL |

I didn't know him on a personal/friend level as I do with some other members and mods, but he was a "co-worker" and I am furious. I know there are good people out there (online and in real life) that pull me through |

I remember lots of things he said. 1. the woman I'm looking for doesn't exsist. 2. women always try to change me, I just want to be me. 3. women on dating sites live too far away. I don't think he was really into women, but just wanted a peaceful life. |

I'm floored, I'm pissed, I'm hurt. He flat out lied to me, a couple weeks ago when some random stranger sent me a FB message saying Lex was a pervert, but no info. I told the guy I wanted proof and then emailed Lex, and he said it was just someone from his screwy ex gf causing trouble.
It's basically slapped me in the face that those who you think are aboveboard aren't, and when online it's best to just keep it at a distance. No, I'm not taking down my book reviews, since I reviewed the books for themselves, I did enjoy them, simple science fiction. {And regarding comments about background checks, one of the CEO's of Yahoo stepped down this past week after it coming out that he had lied about his college info. One would assume a background check would have caught this before he was even hired back in January, but apparently not.) |

Just kill them. Have to agree. This wouldn't be an issue if we just euthanized them. We can do it for other animals, for various reasons, I never get why it's such a big deal to do so for humans. |

I think the point she is trying to make is that if someone REALLY wanted to be deceptive they could possibly find a way. Not necessarily that it would never be caught, just that it's possible it could go undetected for an unspecified amount of time. THANK YOU Myka!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sadly working in IT I know this sad story all too well... lots of tampering with things and deception can occur on a business level as well as a personal level for those with knowledge of how information is kept. |

Deep down I KNOW it is not my fault, but that Is how I deal, I for some reason blame myself for being SO stupid! Right now I am also trying to find everything thing I can about "KEITH WILLIS" I want to know who this MF IS and WAS. I really do hope that the press keeps us up to date about him. Sickens me even more by the ones defending someone so evil as to take the heart and soul out of an innocent child! Do you not get it? He molested children! He was convicted for that! He got off on seeing infants raped, beaten and in some cases killed!!! What is to defend? FEEL sorry for LEX???? NO WAY! That is not even his name for peats sake! Thats is not his AGE! He knew he was suppose to NOT have an alias because his red=gistration is what is suppose to PROTECT the public!!! He is an evil man. He has lied to everyone! He did not belong here! He knew that!
