Ah yes, in a perfect world....but take a look at our prisons today..that would be called 'Harsh Treatment'..and the cry and hue would go up from thousands of Liberals...Bad Policies!! Treat the prisoners like humans...feed them, give them access to everything they need...don't make them work..Let them write their books about their crimes and make millions of dollars. Let them write or call their friends and keep up with the outside world..compare notes on who is doing what to what child. Why is it barbaric to treat them as harshly as they treated their victums...whose lives have been ruined and may never live a normal fear free life? So my idea wouldn't work because of the "Liberals", but you feel that we could get away with treating them more harshly? The only reason that "Liberals" get the opportunity to make up stupid laws that benefit criminals is because they get elected. Yes, they get elected..and maybe Liberals was too broad of a spectrum...let's just say the people that want everyting to be all sweetness and light..slap someone's hand for murder or rape or sexual abuse of a child, compare it to let's say, a parking ticket. But whatever we do, let's not give an eye for an eye. Those children were YOUNG small innocent beings that were preyed upon by a man weighing 208 pounds...what chance did they have? Who was there to protect them? He gave them no choice in the matter. Their lives have been RUINED if not completely taken away from them. I agree with the bolded part. The sarcasm quotes around "Liberal" is because liberals are in short supply in this country. Democrats are mostly authoritarians who have adopted the "liberal" label. Other than in the case of sex and drugs, what are Democrats liberal about? |

WOW!!!!!! Who would have thought..... I too have been here off n on since 2006 in the old just say hi days...... I have to say I didn't know him other then see him in the threads, and I thought he was weird!
I lost both my children to accidents...... and I have to say this, I have no compassion what so ever for anyone who has sexual feelings toward any child ..... I have been a hard core biker all my life!!!! castrate the bas-ard very.......very slowly |

I knew Lex fairly well at one point. He had a great deal of difficulty with interactions with adults. Asperger's persons often have trouble interacting with grown ups. THEY ARE NOT ALL CHILD MOLESTERS. I am NOT saying that. But men who are socially inept sometimes fall into a web of porn, child molestation, etc. So I am not shocked. I am glad that Charles took such swift action. I know people make fun of me using www.netdetective.com on anybody I meet in person. It's only $30 for three years with unlimited screenings. I strongly suggest you screen anyone who comes into your life.

Child molestation is not just about sex. It's about power and control when you feel you have none, etc. It's a multi-faceted thing. You can castrate them but if they are so inclined, they will find other ways. ALSO BE FOREWARNED THE NUMBER OF THEM OUT THERE GREATLY OUTWEIGHS THE NUMBER WHO ARE ACTUALLY CAUGHT. |

I think pedophilia is an affliction. Perhaps it is some kind of genetic flaw or brain anomaly. Its too bad it can't be cured.
Lex, I believe, was an alternate personality or persona that this man invented, and probably a person he would like to have been in his real life. I don't think he used this identity to be a sexual predator. I think he used it in an attempt to have some kind of normal life separate from his reality, which I'm sure must have been a nightmare. There are people in this world who are psychopaths, schizophrenic, pedophiles and just simply insane. Not all psychopaths are serial killers. Not all schizophrenics are dangerous. Not all pedophiles abuse children. Some know it is wrong and unacceptable. Some claim they can't help themselves. (Some become priests and attempt celibacy.) It is hard to imagine what that affliction might be like and we don't know what causes it. It could be genetics or brain chemistry. We don't know. I don't believe the affliction itself is a choice. I have compassion for the victims and I have compassion for the people afflicted with this unfortunate condition. I wish that they could be cured. I waste no hate upon them. |

On face book I have my family and grand kids on there Lex was on my friends list makes me sick in a way.

I wanted to also express my sympathies to all those who trusted Lex and were his friends. I know the person he portrayed here was very different from the person who committed those crimes. I feel only empathy for those of you who thought you had a good friend in him. It is still a tremendous loss for those who did love and trust him.
