And it was the mob of Jews that demanded his death.

so why did the Jews want Jesus dead?

..do I really have to repeat?

Of course I do, what am I saying. It's Funches here.

Because a few of, let's call them, influential douchebags, "hated" Jesus; so they spread lies and blasphemy against him to incite the Jewish people to hate him; such things as a "False Prophet" and what not. All of which was, in its own, a fabricated lie.

They just wanted him gone.

Just like present day, if one man can sound convincing enough, he can convince people to engage in horrific acts.

That's what they did. Lied.

yep...if they believe that Jesus was a false prophet that is breaking Jewish law...even today Jews do not accept him as the Messiah...are they also spreading lies

..of course they wouldn't.

That would calling their entire faith; ie, it's heritage, nothing but blasphemers. Think about, seriously, if they admitted Jesus WAS the Messiah; they would be at fault, the sole peoples to blame for the crucifixion of Christ.

C'mon, that's common state cop-out.

Wait, you believe the narative where the Jews said they wanted a curse on themselves and their offspring?

The Romans corrupted the text...

Come again?

If that's a belief out there, never knew/heard it.

That was just mo from my own personal view.
Not taken from anywhere.

Pilate "washed" his hands of killing an innocent man? Yeah right, he knew he was innocent and condemned him to die.

Do you think the governor of PA would execute a man he knew was innocent?

And do you really think the Jews who accused him requested a curse on themselves and their children?

Get real, use your minds people. The Roman governmet had to change the texts, after all, they had crucified the "Savior" of the religion they were forcing their citizens to convert to.

I didn't say he "washed" his hands of it.
I said he "wanted" to.

And, honestly, yes. I think the Governor of PA would.
Maybe not our current, but I'm sure one of them would.
Politicians are corrupt douches like that.
If he could get away with it, he would, that's my point.
Especially if someone threatened his power.
That's politics. Always has been, always will be.

Caiaphos, or however the crap you spell his name..
..was one such person who sought to lose a lot by Jesus' appearance.

..plus, didn't the Romans, at the time believe in Mythology?
Caesar himself at the time was a proven pacifist when it came to the concepts of "practicing" religion; as i stated earlier, he was actually ridiculed by Romans for being far too lenient in letting the Jews practice/worship however they so desired.

Do I believe Pilate could have tried to wash his hands entirely?

Yes, I do.

Why? It wasn't his "religion" but the idea that it "could" be true, would be a viable deterrent especially when there was no "crime".

LOL

Truth hurts. Just because you believed all of it at one time does not mean I did or do.

Use your mind, don't wash it....

We can NEVER Fully understand God and His Word with

just our "mind"...

God is SPIRIT.....

we must come to God in

SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH.....

NOT

via the "mind "........

This is why one must be BORN AGAIN , in order to FULLY Understand

and Fully SEE TRUTH.

When we are born again, our spirit which was dead from sin, is

Now made ALIVE again...and our spirtual eyes which were

BLIND , are NOW OPEN ...so that NOW we CAN SEE .flowerforyou

We CAN SEE NOW

that

GOD'S WORD is True...

and that

The Bible IS GOD'S WORD

and

GOD'S WORD STANDS TRUE FOREVER .

Amen.

MorningSong goes a wee bit far with things such as this. If what she said here was absolute true with no other speculations, there wouldn't be so much "diversity" amongst the belief that comes from the scriptures eg., Catholic, Christian, all the different denominations of Christianity, ect.

Yes a non-believer won't get the same out of the scriptures as a believer, but non-the-less it's not specifically because they aren't "saved", just they personally view things differently. And is the reason they are a non-believer.

He did not break one law. Jesus was fulfilling the old covenant/law and give us a new. He did not one sin nor did he break any law(s).

Cowboy... did Jesus ever claim that he was God?

Jesus did NOT break ANY laws.

Jesus was without sin.

claiming or trying to convince the people that you are God would be breaking both Jewish and Roman laws

so MorningSong ..did Jesus ever claim to be God

Please for all that's good in this world Funches, one last time "God" is not an entity in it's own. Get out of the fantasy mind please. God is not a species. God is a title of authority. That is why Jesus is referred to as God, he even specifically says he is our God. And yet he referred to his father as HIS God. But still there is only one God. For "God" is not an entity by itself.

Seriously, what in the world are you talking about? You asked if Jesus claimed to be God, so I showed where he specifically says he's God. No one's hiding behind any scriptures. Ask and ye shall receive.

lol I love coming here, it's great comedy with Funches. He'll ask the same question(s) over and over even in the process of being answered but yet continue to ask like you never answered. Then he'll twist some words you said before and try to use them against you taking them totally out of context.

first let see if Jesus claim to be God then after that then we will search for the laws that he perhaps broke by making such claims

There.

An entire page of PROOF of WHY/HOW Jesus NEVER broke the law/sinned.

Even shows them TRYING their hardest to MAKE it was though he WAS what he actually WASN'T.
