Topic: Do You Have The Right To Believe | |

Cowboy then by "we" you mean whom? You "Christians" or you and the rest of your cult or church? The term "God" is used by Muslims and Jews too and they don't believe in Jesus. I use the term "God" also and I don't believe in Jesus. C'mon jeannie, cult? The name as revealed in the Hebrew Bible is my pic, quite poetic if you think about. "In the image of God (YHWH)" :-Þ |

its called 'personal' for a reason , its not to be generally applied to 'explain' anything MsHarmony...you claim that you "personally experienced God" not that it was personal...if it was personal then you wouldn't have even brought it up ...you teaser you no teasing,, I have no indication that others reading the posts are having a problem understanding it,,,, well....they probably understand that you can't explain it |

If someone would define and describe the term "God" it might make describing a personal experience with that a lot easier. I have a personal experience with God when I feel joy, and I see God when I look in the mirror. according to Cowboy the term God means "title of authority" Incorrect, god means "title of authority". dude..didn't i say that? |

I don't know where Cowboy gets his beliefs, as he does not seem to agree with other Christians on this site. Maybe he started a cult of his own... I just don't know. The name as revealed in the Hebrew Bible is my pic, quite poetic if you think about. "In the image of God (YHWH)" :-Þ The Hebrew Bible, the Christian Bible... blah blah blah... how many different Bibles are there? So many people use the term "God" and everyone has a different concept of what that is so I cannot apply the meaning of that term where is does not change according to whom is uttering it. |

No, you said God means "title of authority". When a word is capitotlized it doesn't always have the same meaning as lower cased. God is a title, as in a name. god is a title, it is the title of authority. We call God, "God" because he has authority over all and that we do not know his name. When it is capitolized it referring to a specific being for again it is being used as a name. |

Not "Christian" teachings, not "baptists, catholics, ect". I follow Jesus' teachings. |

My point is, don't use the term "God" and expect that my understanding of that term is the same as yours or everyone else's. |

No, you said God means "title of authority". When a word is capitotlized it doesn't always have the same meaning as lower cased. Cowboy....did Jesus use his computer keyboard and teach that in the temple to those that couldn't read nor write ...now do you see why the stuff you post is delusional |

Before anyone can have an intelligent conversation about "God" you must define and describe and agree on what that term means exactly. Otherwise the whole conversation begins with a misunderstanding and goes nowhere.

So I'm guessing you don't view biographys are true unless they were written by the person themself? That's all the new testament is more or less, is a biography. It is more then that of course, but at the nitty bitty it is a biography. And fortells of future events eg., prophecies, but nevertheless they are given by the person in mention thus still resulting in a biography. And good thing you don't live in the medevil times with that form of mindset. The kings usually had scribes, so I could see you saying you didn't have to obey that law for the king didn't write it. |

Cowboy....did Jesus use his computer keyboard and teach that in the temple to those that couldn't read nor write ...now do you see why the stuff you post is delusional What are you talking about? When the original scriptures were written they probably didn't even use the same grammar as we do for one it was in a different language, for another it was many many many years ago. OUR grammar and how we write things is the only thing that matters when reading the bible in the way WE read/write things. When something is translated from one language to another it molds the grammar as well. I know not if God is or isn't capitolized in certain spots in the original scriptures for again the grammar would be different. Only you are delusional my friend, my best of wishes for you Funches. |

And good thing you don't live in the medevil times with that form of mindset. The kings usually had scribes, so I could see you saying you didn't have to obey that law for the king didn't write it. The new testament was written some 300 years after Jesus was supposed to have walked the earth, if he existed. It may have been pure fable or myth or fiction. To call is a "biography" is an opinion that I don't happen to agree with. After 300 years, a story is basically a myth. If it is a story that has been passed down for 300 years, it has probably been changed a lot. But my point is what the author(s) said about Jesus and any "commands" he may have made is second hand hearsay even if there is any truth in it. So again, Jesus himself did not write the New Testament or give any commands and the New Testament was not written by anyone who saw him or heard him do it themselves either. So I find it hard to believe. |
