Find where God said ppl to kill other ppl in his name ? God told Abraham to kill his son Isaac as a sacifice It was a test. Abraham failed (but God judged him not). God gave Abraham a direct command to kill his son but instead Abraham chose to listen to an angel that told him not to do it...Abraham loved his son more than he loved God probably another reason why God grieved or maybe not The angel of the LORD called to Abraham from heaven a second time and said, "I swear by myself, declares the LORD, that because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son, I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies, and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me." (Genesis 22:10-12, 15 but it's the fact that Abraham disobeyed a direct command from God...but yet followed the direct command of an angel an angel of the LORD,,,angels cannot bless, this makes most sense in context to be representing GODS word,,, |

repent Heathen I don't think there's enough paint to repaint heaven. Howsabout we just order some ribs and watch Free Willy? Peter_Pan...I think you better stick with Yahweh ...remember he's a Jealous God Ewww, nice! Sooooo, you say he's a Jealous God, do ya? I need to see that verse if you don't mind. I think you mis-read it. It's Zealous, NOT Jealous... in fact Funches is right - zealous may translated like jealous but even if you want to say Zeus he was also damn jealous god. |

'truth' is truth, this is true but 'truth' that has not been personally observed or experienced, does require 'faith' to believe but not 'faith' to make it truth so MsHarmony...using your words...so those that never personally observed or experienced God would require "Faith" to believe? yes so Faith is belief....not fact |

No you don't need faith to know that you exist. and that is why Truth does not require Faith ......ok now that we got that straight now can you tell what Faith is without including "Truth" into the equation That would be where nothing comes into play. Faith without the filter of truth is a belief in nothing. Or a belief in smoke and mirrors. |

I don't agree that "faith" is what you believe to be true but it is partly that. If you believe what the Bible says, you are placing your faith in the people who wrote it, or the people who told you it was true. I agree...those with a belief which pertains to the bible that never observed God or experienced God...then their Faith has to lie with those that wrote the bible.. not God |
