right... considering that the story is true and it was faith and not God that caused Jesus to walk on water..then what would Faith be

Faith is the natural creative power of mind. With faith, and belief in the dream, the dream becomes reality.

If reality is a dream, faith makes it real.

so JennieBean...are you saying that Faith is the ability to turn dream into everyone's reality

Faith is hope, it is desire, it is what you want to be. It is what you dearly believe to be true. You have faith it will rain tomorrow, you have hope it will, you have desire it will.

That is why I do believe God puts so much on faith. It shows what you truly desire inside.

if Peter lack of Faith caused him not to be able to walk on water....then Faith can not be "hope"

how can hope make someone walk on water

Faith is what you believe will happen.

Simple example the simple thing we all pretty much know, mind over matter. People walk on glass and it doesn't hurt them or atleast not horribly. There are many different examples of what I'm saying here, but this is the first that comes to mind. If the person believes, thinks, and or has faith that it will hurt, it will. If they believe, think, and or has faith that it will not hurt, it won't.

Faith plays a huge part of everything in this world, people just don't give credit where credit is due.

With enough faith, anything and everything is possible.

If that is what you put your faith in, then yes. Other then that, how does that constitute as witchcraft?

God tells us "Ask and ye shall receive". So with enough faith, ask of it and it will happen. If there is no faith that it will happen, then asking of it would be in vein and pointless, now wouldn't it be?

When Peter couldn't walk on water ...was it because God wouldn't allow him to walk on water or was it because he lacked Faith

He lacked the faith. Notice Peter feared, then started to sink. If Peter would have had complete faith, he would not have feared, therefore he would not have sunk. His faith in God showed when he started to sink or should I say the lack of his father showed.

Matthew 14

29And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.

30But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

31And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

Peter didn't LACK faith.
His faith was altered by the power of the wind.
This caused him to sink.

..just saying.

Exactly, it was his lack of faith in God. Your faith in God is your strength of relation with God. More faith you have in God more of a relationship you have with God. Peter started to doubt in God, so God allowed him to start to sink. Same can be applied to our every day life. When we doubt in the blessings from God, we do not deserve them. With 100% faith in God nothing can stand in your way of accomplishing whatever feat you're trying to accomplish, from walking on water, to surviving life in general.

Science has answered way more questions then the bible ever will.

How rainbows appear.
How rain is made.
How lightning strikes.
How photosynthesis works.
How atoms,molecules,chromosomes,cells,amino acids work.

The bible just simply states "god did it"

That would be advisable.

Again.

so it was God that allowed Peter to almost drown the same as those in the great flood?
