Sounds like you need to work on not letting yourself be offended by someone calling you an old timer. People get offended way too easily these days.

Saying you over reacted would be an understatement, you should think about taking an anger management course.

Anger management.
I did take those.
When I had those issues..
I wouldn't have said anything..
..I would've dropped him without a word.

I just wasn't letting some Tarzan lay claim to my jungle.

You aren't doing yourself any favors by bragging about how violent you used to be. You sound like you have a lot of issues that need resolved. I hope that you'll find help, so that you don't continue to go around threatening people and/or damaging their property.

It definitely was way over the top to react that way to being called an old timer by a kid.

It wasn't the old timer comment that pushed me over..
..it was him.

I was offended by her words..
..enraged by his.

He threatened me first..
..mine was just better.

:O

So he threatened you, big deal. It was a stupid threat, only trumped in it's silliness by your threat. You should have just laughed and walked away.

I wasn't 'offended' by the old timer term...
I was offended by threatened for bumping into a teenie-bopper which I had apologized too..

I was offended by... him. Not so much her.

I agree that the girl and her boyfriend were rude and behaved like idiots. They do need to learn some respect.
However, part of maturity is being able to control ourselves. You learn how to let things roll off. A bad mood happens, we are human, and we can let things really hit us wrong but it is not ok to key or damage another's property.

I wasn't raised like that.

When you manhood is tested..
Step up, or it's a life of running you'll always have.

Maybe you had a decent high school growing up?
Whereas I did not, reputation was everything..

It's actually said when HS becomes a war zone..
..and only the strong come out alive.

You can throw them.

I'll pretend to be Jesus.
Cause then you'll love and worship me later. :X

In your last response to me, you said you were offended by her words. Now you're changing your story.

You are 30!!! You are not in high school anymore fighting to preserve your reputation. Everyone has to grow up sometime..

I was raised to believe that violence shouldn't be my first response. Only someone who thinks he has something to prove needs to rush into a fight. And I don't care much about people's opinions about me or my manhood, never have. Walk away when you can, fight when you have to. That's my motto.

Sorry, I used 'enraged' by him.

I'm calculating several different thoughts as I didn't expect this to get me so many responses. :O

Offended by her.
Enraged by him.

Geez.

He was feeling his oats and went way out of line. Threatening someone is assault, like he did you. People just don't want you to get into a fight needlessly. I agree with everything you did but the keying.

"Everyone has to grow up sometime."

Why?

What for?

I love my childish mentality.
I have tons of fun. Live life. Laugh more.
The pressures and depression that follows suit with 'adulthood'.
No thanks, nu-uh, not for me.

I'm having the time of life..
..not sitting here remembering the times that past.

You can keep your adulthood.
Keep your politics and seriousness.

I'll always be a Toyz R Us kid.

..you just hit 30.

You step out of a gas station after buying a pack of smokes and you accidentally bump into a, guessing, 16-year old girl who was walking with her boyfriend who appeared to be at least of legal age.

I immediately apologized, for it is my nature,to which she chimed out;

"Hey, watch it old timer!"

Me, being the guy that I am, took offense to this, but I remained cool; mainly cause I won't hit a girl, and f*** up her day. So, instead of resorting to violence, as it is the male gene to do so, I instead stated in a perplexed state;

"Excuse me?"

This was when, Mr. Macho or so he claimed, would step forward and in front of her blocking my line of sight. I saw him clench a fist, even went as far to furrow his brows.

"You heard the lady. Back off before I hit you so hard you'll have to collect disability twice."

OK, now, I am beyond offended and I set down my bag. I looked him dead in the eye, tilted my head so he could hear the cracks.

"Try it, youngster, and I'll hit you back so hard I'll knock the Earth of it's axis, and your future children will all talk with a lisp."

The girl now seemed frightened, perhaps realizing, I wasn't as old as I seemed? Regardless, she tugged at his sleeve, my eyes remained on him, unblinking, unwavering, and most certainly unafraid. He just clicked his teeth at me, as they trotted inside.

Still, I was offended.. and rather upset.

Getting called an 'old-timer' at 30? Psh, I don't even think I look that 'old'.

Needless to say..

I keyed his bright cherry mustang with the words, 'M almost f****d up your day.'

...just curious if I over reacted?

But now I know what the older generation meant when I was kid, when they use to say;

"Kids these days, they just have no respect."

I'm sorry Grandma, and Grandpa...

If only I knew then.. what I know now.

RIP.

I got years ahead of me yet..
..but I'll see you both then.

Being offended is a choice you make.

Destruction of property is another one.

There’s a 12 yr age gap between my kids and when we’re out together, most tend to think that I’m grandma...considering how vain most women are, just imagine how insulted I feel!

Yeah, and? That's you. Your motto.
And I suppose there's a motto for why you shouldn't feel the 'need' to prove something, anything to anyone... ever?

You look the type who's always walking away..
So, play on, playa.
That's just not the way for me.

I be like this till I'm in an old home..
and prolly till they're trying to bury me..

But that's what my point was..
It how we were raised..
Different sides of the track and all..

I just asked if you'd be offended.
Not for a crap load of people to attack or assault my 'character'.

Yes, I can be immature.
Maturity is far overrated.
You spend you're whole life.. wanting to be older, wanting to be mature..

..do you not realize what waits at the end?
What's the point in spending a life running..
..nah, no thank you.
I'd rather stand here and wait.
