Spider doesn't try to push people's buttons. He just states his opinion and sometimes it comes off the wrong way in writing. It happens to Singmesweet all the time. She is misunderstood because of her candor and the way she writes. Both of them have unintentionally hurt my feelings or made me feel defensive in the forums. However, I know both of them much better now from private conversations and I know that they both mean well. We all have different communication styles, that's all. I wasn't saying that as an insult to Spider at all. Just from what I've observed. That's all. Here, he gave his opinion when asked just like everyone else. He doesn't back down or change his opinion when someone doesn't agree. Neither do I. I can respect that. |

Yes, he likes to push people's buttons, which he did with you. And it worked. It got you even more defensive. I wasn't trying to push anyone's buttons. He asked for opinions and I gave mine. He's the one who got his back up because I didn't applaud his criminal behavior. You try to push people's buttons all the time.  But yes, he's being very defensive when people aren't agreeing with what he did. When sarcasm is mixed with blatant judgment I'd conclude that is pushing some buttons. Judging others is a good thing, when it is done honestly and fairly. It's a fair judgement to say that when a 30 year old father is vandalizing a car over words, he need anger management classes. Tacked with 'You need help'. Each post got more and more distasteful. You were clearly, blatantly, after me. And leave my kids out of this. Damn. That's another thing that p***** me off. My kid doesn't even live with me. It's not like he was present for it. Not like he knew about it. So he's irrelevant in this situation. |

Its easy to misinterpret stuff online. I do this daily. Not intentionally. I only truly get defensive when my character is attacked over my opinion. That to me is crossing the line. In my defense, this was after you admitted to having an anger problem and saying that before your previous anger management classes you would have just punched the guy. You were clearly, blatantly, after me. No I'm not. And leave my kids out of this. Damn. I didn't mention your kids, I mentioned the fact that you are a father. A father shouldn't do things that could put him in jail (where he can't provide for or protect or spend time with his kids) unless he has a very very good reason. Your reason for keying that car was lacking, in my opinion. |

I don't even remember what you wrote to begin with about Edison. I saw Spider's quote about Edison being a liar and wanted to know what that meant. Edison definitely invented the light bulb, but his idea was to use DC, which would have made light bulbs a novelty at best. Tesla's invention of the transformer allowed for the use of high voltage AC electricity, which allows us to watch TV, light our homes and post in online forums. |
