I am reading the 9-11 debunking book by popular mechanics now and it does not hold a candle to that information. It has a forward by Senator John McCain written with such typical political rhetoric, trying to sound patriotic. He calls the truth movement "conspiracy mongering."

I am wondering what exactly motivates Popular Mechanics to go down this road. Their debunking book is only 170 pages and they very lightly touch upon certain conspiracy theories, skipping over many unanswered questions. I'm still reading it.

I will probably get the book that debunks this book today.

Your link above should be read by all who want the truth. People who stand for the truth like William Rodriguez, last man out of the tower who saved hundreds of lives.... they are the real heroes because they did not allow themselves to be bribed by those who want to cover up the truth.

I am not gonna trust a blog about one man (i did read) when there were thousands of people saved in that building and even more on the streets and areas near by. Bombs powerful enough to knock out the foundations would have been hears from miles around. Not just by him. It would have shaken the whole building to an extent. Noone else seemed to feel the tremors.

Also you have to look at the logic. If there were bombs and the government had this super awesome top secret plan why on earth would they blow up bombs before the plane hit? Just to leave some evidence? If truthers claim its near impossible to hit the towers with a plane why would they explode the bombs in advance incase the plane missed? If the structure was ruined at the bottom by bombs why did it collapse 45 minutes later and from the point of impact by the plan and not from the bottom like a demolition and where these "bombs" supposedly were?

of course there doesnt have to be a huge explosion.i saw videos and pics of the wtc when it was ruble.the steel was sticking up and cut at a 45 deg angel.i watched many shows on demolition this is how they cut the steel.they dont set off a huge bomb at the base of the building like wylie coyote.

they have several small explosions like were heard before the building fell.and when using thermite there would be no explosion.
they weaken the steel frame to a point that it can no longer stand up and the building falls straight down.gravity does all of the work.

Also, there are many witnesses recorded on video saying that they heard explosions and bombs in the lower parts of the building, so they back up his story.

Ok lets take a look at this video. For one none of them said there were bombs they said they thought they heard bombs. Now next maybe 1 person said before the plane hit but everyone else said after the plane hit and some even mention it coming out of the elevator and if that happened it is totally plausible.

Now lets assume that their was a bomb in the basement. That woudln't have cause the tower to collapse. Demolitions require bombs throughout the entire structure and the building would collapse from the base and not the point of impact. There are no recorded explosion on any of the collapses that coincide with the collapse so it couldn't have been a demolition.

Yea after reading that wiki page it seems like he was just trying to make money. His original accounts were that the fireball came from the elevator shaft after the impact and that was it. 2 years later he changed his story to some explosion and tried to sue the President of the United states and other people. That kind of just lost all credibility with me.

Rodriguez said he usually clocked in at 8:00 a.m. and rode an elevator to the 106th floor, where Hispanic employees of the Windows on the World restaurant fed him a free breakfast. On 9/11, however, he was half an hour late and so reported directly to a basement office of his employer, American Building Maintenance.[31]

On 9/11, Rodriguez told CNN that shortly before the plane hit the tower he was in the basement when:

...we hear like a big rumble. Not like an impact, like a rumble, like moving furniture in a massive way. And all of sudden we hear another rumble, and a guy comes running, running into our office, and all of skin was off his body. All of the skin. We went crazy, we started screaming, we told him to get out. We took everybody out of the office outside to the loading dock area.[32]

Rodriguez's early accounts repeatedly mentioned a large fireball that shot down the elevator shafts and exploded through the doors, causing serious burn injuries to a man who happened to be standing in front of one of the freight elevator doors. This was consistent with similar reports by numerous other witnesses who saw fireballs erupting and blowing out elevator doors and burning people.[33] In September 2002, Rodriguez said in an CNN interview:

...and at that terrible day when I took people out of the office, one of them totally burned because he was standing in front of the freight elevator and the ball of fire came down the duct of the elevator itself, I put him on the ambulance.

He did not identify the name of the victim in this interview,[34] but he did identify the name of the victim as Mr. Felipe David (a native of Honduras, working for the American catering company Aramark) in several other interviews.[35][36][37][38][39][40][41] Mr. David was released after spending 10 weeks recovering in the hospital; first in the New York Weill Cornell Medical Center burn unit, and then in Mount Sinai Medical Center's rehab program. He had suffered third degree burns covering 40% if his upper body from jet fuel he encountered while escaping from the basement of 1 World Trade Center.[42]

The fire, the ball of fire, for example, I was in the basement when the first plane hit the building. And at that moment, I thought it was an electrical generator that blew up at that moment. A person comes running into the office saying 'explosion, explosion, explosion.' When I look at this guy; has all his skin pulled off of his body. Hanging from the top of his fingertips like it was a glove. And I said, what happened? He said the elevators. What happened was the ball of fire went down with such a force down the elevator shaft on the 58th (50A) – freight elevator, the biggest freight elevator that we have in the North Tower, it went out with such a force that it broke the cables. It went down, I think seven flights. The person survived because he was pulled from the B3 level. But this person, being in front of the doors waiting for the elevator, practically got his skin vaporized."[43]

At that same NIST meeting, however, Rodriguez told investigators that he was "the last survivor pulled from the rubble". In fact, there were at least 18 survivors pulled from the rubble of the North Tower long after Rodriguez walked out of the building unharmed. The last survivor was Jenelle Guzman-McMillan, who was rescued some 26 hours later at approximately 12:30 p.m. on September 12, 2001.[44]
